Aorus X7
Heutzutage wird es immer einfacher einen mobilen Gaming-PC zu finden. Das Aorus X7 wiegt nur 3 kg und ist damit viel leichter als traditionelle 17-Zoll-Gaming-Laptops. Doch lassen Sie sich nicht vom Gewicht tauschen, das Gerät ist ein Krafthaus.
Mit Core i7 Prozessor der vierten Generation, 16 GB RAM, einem Paar von GTX 860M SLI Grafikkarten laufen selbst die aktuell anspruchsvollsten Spiele problemlos. Und das Ganze in einem Gehäuse, das weniger als 2.54 cm hoch ist. Sie können abhängig von der Aufgabe wählen, ob eine oder zwei Grafikkarten benutzt werden. Mit einer Grafikkarte erhöht sich natürlich die Akkulaufzeit und verringert sich das Lüftergeräusch.
Der Bildschirm ist ziemlich durchschnittlich. Trotz FullHD Auflösung verbessert er das Gaming-Erlebnis nicht, sondern hält es in puncto Grafik zurück. Das Gerät ist mit einer SSD und einer HDD ausgestattet. Windows bootet ziemlich schnell, doch das System wird langsamer, wenn Dateien von der HDD geholt werden müssen.
Die Krönung sind zwei Lautsprecher und zwei Woofer. Wie zu erwarten, ist die Akkulaufzeit schwach. Der Akku hält nur etwa zwei Stunden lang durch. Insgesamt beherbergt das X7 großartige Hardware in einem schlanken und leichten Gehäuse.

Aorus X7 v2
Das Aorus X7 ist ein einzigartiger High-End-Gamer mit zwei Nvidia Geforce GTX 860M Grafikkarten mit 8 GB Videospeicher im SLI Verbund. Zudem verfügt es über eine Core i7-4710HQ und DDR3-1866 RAM (bis zu 32 GB). Es handelt sich um einen großen Laptop mit 17,3-Zoll-Bildschirm mit einer Auflösung von 1920 x 1080 Pixel. Leider liefert der große Bildschirm keine scharfen Farben. Die Bildschirmqualität ist wegen niedrigem Kontrast und dunkler Farbtemperatur enttäuschend.
Zwei GPUs in einem schlanken Notebook bedeutet, dass sogar einfache Aufgaben wie Web-Surfen durch ein hörbares Lüftergeräusch begleitet werden. Während Gaming, wofür der Laptop gemacht wurde, wird es sogar noch lauter. Zudem fühlt sich das Gehäuse auch im Idle-Betrieb warm an.
Das Aorux X7 beherbergt zwei Subwoofer und zwei Tweeter. Daher sind die Bässe gut und es macht definitiv Freude der Hintergrundmusik bei Spielen zu zu hören. Die Akkulaufzeit leidet unter der leistungsstarken Hardware. Es reicht nur für 2,5 Stunden ohne Internet und 1,5 Stunden mit WLAN.
Wenn man hohe Temperaturen, lautes Betriebsgeräusch, kurze Akkulaufzeit und einen mittelmäßigen Bildschirm ignorieren kann, so sind Hardware und Aussehen durchaus attraktiv. Das X7 v2 beherbergt drei mSATA-SSDs in RAID-0 (sehr leistungsstarke Laufwerke). Insgesamt ist das Gigabyte Aorus X7 bei nur 2,3 cm Bauhöhe und 3,24 kg beeindruckend leistungsstark.

It doesn’t help that battery life is unimpressive but we can forgive that in a gaming laptop. The issue here is that Aorus has put the emphasis on making the X7 Pro-Sync very thin and this has impacted on the usability and performance. When you consider the high price of this laptop it is quite a problem. It is a crying shame that Aorus could have made the laptop a few millimeters thicker and the result would probably have turned out better for the paying customer.

Das Aorus X7 v6 ist ein Hochleistungslaptop, der sich an Gamer richtet, die unterwegs spielen wollen. Das Aorus X7 ist eine Serie von Gaming-Laptops von Gigabyte, welche die Marke zu einem Symbol für leistungsstarke Gaming-PCs gemacht hat. Die v6 dieser Serie wurde nur 7 Monate nach ihrem v5 Vorgänger herausgebracht. Im Gegensatz zum Vorgänger, der zwei Grafikkarten im SLI-Verbund nutzt, setzt das X7 v6 auf eine einzige High-End-GPU. Damit umgeht es die Schwächen zweier SLI-Grafikkarten wie Treiberabhängigkeit und enormen Stromverbrauch. Der Laptop sieht mit einem Touchpad mit matter Oberfläche, das ein blaues Aorus-Logo zeigt, und drei Maschen-Lüftergrillen unter den Scharnieren für eine bessere Luftzirkulation elegant aus. Gegenüber einem glänzenden Touchpad arbeitet das matte Touchpad präziser und ermöglicht ein leichteres Gleiten der Finger. Daneben ist das Chassis des Laptops aus festem Metall gefertigt und fühlt sich für einen schlanken Gaming-Laptop ziemlich solide an. Der Laptop misst 25 x 428 x 305 mm und wiegt 3,23 kg.
Anders als beim v5 wurden die Makro-Tasten in die Haupttastatur integriert, das sieht nicht nur besser aus, sondern macht diese auch leichter erreichbar. Außerdem handelt es sich bei der Tastatur um eine RGB Fusion Tastatur mit Nummernblock, welche RGB-Hintergrundbeleuchtung pro Taste in 16,8 Millionen Farbvarianten ermöglicht. Das ist sicherlich für Gamer ein nettes Merkmal. Angetrieben von dem leistungsstärkeren Intel Core i7-6820HK Prozessor mit einer Taktrate von 2,7~3,6 GHz und einer Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 mit 8 GB eigenständigem RAM handelt es sich sicherlich um einen hochwertigeren Gaming-Laptop. Während die meisten Notebooks IPS-Panels nutzen, ist das X7 v6 nur mit einem entspiegelten, 17,3 Zoll großen TN-Panel mit QHD-Auflösung und einem Seitenverhältnis von 16:9 verfügbar. Dieser weist nicht die typischen Eigenschaften von IPS-Bildschirmen wie hohen Kontrast und satte Farben auf. Allerdings bietet er eine gute Reaktionszeit, was für Gaming wichtig ist. Typische IPS-Panel benötigen 20-30 ms um von schwarz auf weiß umzuschalten, doch das TN-Panel des Aorus braucht dafür nur 10 ms.
Der Laptop verfügt über ein Wi-Fi-Modul von Qualcomm Atheros, welches Wi-Fi und Bluetooth 4.1 unterstützt. Für Audio bietet er zwei 2-W-Lautsprecher und zwei Woofer mit AORUS Acoustic+ Technologie für ein realistisches und qualitativ hochwertiges Audio-Erlebnis. Für bequeme Video-Telefonie ist zudem eine 2 MP Webcam vorhanden. Weiters gibt es viele Schnittstellen einschließlich USB 3.0 und Type-C-Ports. Das Aorus x7 v6 ist eine sehr gute Wahl für Gamer, die sich nach einem ultimativen Gaming-Gerät umsehen. Allerdings hat es auch Schwächen wie einen nicht ganz perfekten Bildschirm und einen hohen Verkaufspreis.

Das Aorus X7 DT V6 ist ein Gerät für Hardcore-Gaming, welches seine Zeitgenossen übertrifft. Diese leistungsstarke CPU ist mit einer überwältigenden NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (Pascal) mit 8 GB GDDR5X VRAM kombiniert. Aorus X7 v7
Vor nicht allzu langer Zeit hat Gigabyte mit Aorus eine neue Marke aus der Taufe gehoben, um mit Gaming-Serien wie Asus ROG oder Dells Alienware zu konkurrieren. Was manche lediglich als weitere Fragmentierung und Möglichkeit des Herstellers, neue überteuerte hochpreisige Geräte an den Mann zu bringen, ansehen war in Wirklichkeit für Gigabyte die Möglichkeit, den Markt um eine neue sehr einprägsame Marke zu erweitern. Schauen wir also mal, was das Aorus X7 v7 zu bieten hat. Auf den ersten Blick wirkt es wie eine dünne High-End Maschine, ausgestattet mit Core i7-7820HK, 16 GB Arbeitsspeicher und 1.256 GB Massenspeicher, der in eine 1 TB Festplatte und eine 256 GB SSD unterteilt ist, sowie einer Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 Grafikkarte. All das steckt in einem sauber und ordentlich designten Gehäuse mit 17-Zoll-Bildschirm. Gigabyte hat das Gehäuse des Aorus X7 v7 von Grund auf überarbeitet und die Neuerungen sind sofort erkennbar. Mit seinem Mesh-Gittern unterhalb der Scharniere, die den Luftfluss verbessern und die Hardware deutlich kühler halten, wirkt es wesentlich geschmeidiger. Beim Material entschied man sich für gebürstetes Aluminium, wodurch das Notebook trotz seiner Größe und Klasse verhältnismäßig leicht geblieben ist ohne an Stabilität und Rigidität einzubüßen. Auch die Anschlüsse wurden überarbeitet und beinhalten nun 2 USB Typ-C Gen. 2 Ports, von denen einer sogar Thunderbolt 3 unterstützt, einen HDMI 2.0 Port, einen MiniDisplayPort 1.3, 4 USB 3.1 Typ-A Ports und die üblichen Anschlüsse für Ethernet und Audio. Hinzu kommt der SD-Kartenleser, der zwar nicht zu den schnellsten seiner Zunft gehört, aber seinen Job trotzdem sehr ordentlich und flott erledigt.
Das Display verfügt über eine native QHD-Auflösung, optional gibt es außerdem ein 4K-Display zur Auswahl. Beide Panels bieten eine Bildwiederholfrequenz von 120 Hz inkl. Support für G-Sync, was sehr positiv vermerkt werden muss. Andererseits hätten wir nichts anderes erwartet, schließlich ist dies Gigabytes Flaggschiff der Aorus-Serie. Beide Panels sind sehr gut für Gaming geeignet, die Farbgenauigkeit ist mit 87 % sRGB und 57 % AdobeRGB jedoch nur unterdurchschnittlich. Wer akkuratere Displays benötigt muss sich wohl oder übel anderweitig umsehen. Die Performance des Auros X7 v7 ist mehr als ausreichend um aktuelle Spiele flüssig wiederzugeben und auch die dabei entstehende Wärme wird ganz ohne Throttling abgeführt. Letzteres liegt unter anderem an der Größe des Systems, die eine deutlich potentere Kühllösung ermöglicht. Die Lautsprecher sind recht laut, es fehlt jedoch an Bass, was dem Wumms nicht gerade zugute kommt. Bei Mitten und Höhen geht die Soundqualität aber in Ordnung und auch insgesamt ist sie überdurchschnittlich. Wie von einem Boliden wie diesen zu erwarten war, ist der Energiebedarf immens. Entsprechend kurz ist auch die Akkulaufzeit von gerade mal 3 Stunden im WLAN-Test. Damit ist sie zwar kürzer als der Durchschnitt, aber länger als bei einem Desktop-Ersatz-Notebook. Man sollte allerdings nicht allzu viel verlangen. Schwierig könnte es werden eine passende Tasche für diesen wuchtigen 17-Zoller zu finden. Insgesamt wirkt das Aorus X7 v7 seinem Vorgänger sehr ähnlich und auch die Upgrades der Hardware halten sich im Vergleich dazu eher in Grenzen.

Aorus ist eine Marke von Gigabyte Technology, einem taiwanesischen Unternehmen, das sich auf die Herstellung von Computerhardware und -zubehör spezialisiert hat. Aorus wurde 2014 gegründet und hat seinen Hauptsitz in Taipeh, Taiwan. Als Logo gibt es einen Falkenkopf, da der Name Aorus vom altägyptischen Falkengott Horus abgeleitet ist. Die Marke Aorus konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung von High-End-Gaming-Produkten wie Gaming-Laptops, Gaming-Monitoren, Gaming-Mäusen, Tastaturen und anderen Zubehörteilen. Aorus Produkte sollen das Spielerlebnis verbessern. Die Marke hat auch eine starke Präsenz in der E-Sport-Community und sponsert viele professionelle E-Sport-Teams und -Veranstaltungen.

i7-8850H: Auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basierender SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für große Notebooks. Integriert unter anderem sechs CPU-Kerne mit 2,6 - 4,3 GHz (4,1 GHz bei 4 Kernen, 4 bei 6 Kernen) und HyperThreading sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt.
