While the core specifications are not mind-blowing, the battery life and general usability of this notebook are both impressive. It is compact and portable, and with built in SIM support can be used for your mobile broadband requirements without the inconvenience of a dongle. Even so, the price is tough to swallow and would buy a cheaper notebook plus a spare battery or two from a different company.

Das Fujitsu Lifebook P770 wirkt mit seinem schwarzen Gehäuse sehr nobel und ist hervorragend verarbeitet. Mit nur 1400 Gramm ist es sehr mobil, was durch eine Akkulaufzeit von fast sechs Stunden unterstrichen wird. Die Leistung ist gut, nur die Festplatte bremst bisweilen. Störend ist die hohe Hitzeentwicklung an der linken Geräteseite.

Fujitsu's new LifeBook P770 certainly isn't an inexpensive ultraportable, but it makes up for that price by offering some outstanding performance and features in a very compact system. Performance is very strong with the new ultra-low voltage Core i7 processor and it doesn't impact running times all that much. For its price though, it would have been nice to see more memory, hard drive space and a sturdier feel.

Fujitsu: Fujitsu Limited, ist ein japanischer Technologiekonzern mit 161.000 (März 2007) Mitarbeitern weltweit, dessen Ursprünge ins Jahr 1935 zurückreichen. Schwerpunkte der Produkte und Dienstleistungen sind Informationstechnologie, Telekommunikation, Halbleiter und Netzwerke. 1999 startete die Zusammenarbeit mit Siemens im IT-Bereich (Server, Notebooks, Desktop-PCs, etc.) unter der Marke Fujitsu-Siemens. 10 Jahre später endete diese Kooperation.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500MHD: Im GM45, GS45 und GE45 Chipsatz (Montevina Plattform) integrierte shared Memory Grafikkarte von Intel. Durch höhere Taktung und mehr Shader ist sie deutlich schneller als die X3100, jedoch immer noch nicht für Spieler empfehlenswert. Kann HD-Videos (AVC/VC2/MPEG2) dekodieren und so die CPU entlasten.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) HD Graphics: Intel HD Graphics oder GMA HD genannte onboard Grafikkarte welche im Package der Core i3/i5/i7 Arrandale Dual-Core Prozessoren untergebracht wird. Je nach Prozessormodell maximal mit 500 bis 766 MHz getaktet (Turbo Boost). Von Lenovo anscheinend auch GMA5700MHD genannt. Die gleichgenannte Intel HD Graphics Prozessorgrafik in den Sandy Bridge Prozessoren basiert auf einer neueren Architektur.

Intel HD Graphics 3000: In Sandy Bridge Prozessoren (Core ix-2xxx) integrierte Grafikkarte von Intel. Stärkere GT2 genannte Version mit 12 Execution Units (EUs). Je nach Modell mit unterschiedlichen Taktraten (350-650MHz) und TurboBoost Unterstützung (900-1350MHz).

Intel Core 2 Duo: Core Duo Nachfolger mit längerer Pipeline und 5-20% Geschwindigkeitszuwachs bei 0.5 - 3 Watt mehr Stromverbrauch.

Der Notebook Core 2 Duo ist baugleich mit den Desktop Core 2 Duo Prozessoren, jedoch werden die Notebook-Prozessoren mit niedrigeren Spannungen und geringerem Frontsidebus Takt betrieben. Von der Leistung bleiben gleichgetaktete Notebooks deswegen (und auch wegen der langsameren Festplatten) 20-25% hinter Desktop PCs.

SU9600: Stromsparender Low Voltage Prozessor basierend auf den Penryn-3M Kern.

Intel Core i7:

640UM: Der Core i7-640UM ist ein sehr sparsamer Ultra Low Voltage Prozessor der sich auf bis zu 2.26 GHz übertakten kann (Turbo Boost). Dank Hyperthreading werden bis zu 4 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeitet. Im Package ist auch noch eine integrierte Grafikkarte (GMA HD mit 500 MHz) und ein Speichercontroller (beide noch 45nm Fertigung) für DDR3 800.

Intel Core i3:

2310M: Auf Sandy Brige Architektur basierender Doppelkernprozessor ohne Turbo (max 2.1 GHz) mit integrierter HD Graphics 3000 Grafikkarte (650-1100MHz) und integriertem DDR3 Speicherkontroller.

12.1: Es handelt sich um ein relativ häufiges Displayformat für Subnotebooks. Es stellt die durchschnittliche Grösse für Subnotebooks dar. Netbooks dagegen haben noch kleinere Displays. Der Vorteil von Subnotebooks liegt darin, dass das Notebook klein dimensioniert sein kann und daher leicht tragbar ist. Der kleine Display hat noch den Vorteil wenig Strom zu benötigen, was die Akkulaufzeit und damit die Mobilität weiter verbessert. Der Nachteil ist, dass das Lesen von Texten etwas anstrengend für die Augen ist. Hohe Auflösungen sind nur bedingt nutzbar.

Dieses Subnotebook/Netbook gehört zu den leichtesten Notebooks überhaupt und kann hervorragend getragen werden. Es gibt nur wenige Sub-Notebooks/Netbooks, die noch leichter sind. 10 Zoll Displays passen in diesen Gewichtsbereich.

Diese Subnotebook/Netbook ist deutlich leichter als der Durchschnitt aller Notebooks, und stellen eine mittlere Gewichtsklasse unter den Subnotebooks dar. 11 Zoll Displays passen in diesen Gewichtsbereich.

74.06%: Diese Bewertung ist schlecht. Die meisten Notebooks werden besser beurteilt. Als Kaufempfehlung darf man das nicht sehen. Auch wenn Verbalbewertungen in diesem Bereich gar nicht so schlecht klingen ("genügend" oder "befriedigend"), meist sind es Euphemismen, die eine Klassifikation als unterdurchschnittliches Notebook verschleiern.
