HP ZBook 15
Das HP ZBook 15 ist eine unglaublich leistungsstarke Workstation bzw. ein Desktop-Replacement für Profis, deren Arbeit viel Rechenleistung erfordert. Es verfügt über einen eleganten Magnesium-Rahmen mit einem Gehäuse aus gebürstetem Aluminium-Gehäuse, das erstaunlich unempfindlich auf Fingerabdrücke ist. Es ist mit einer Bauhöhe von 3,05 cm und einem erdrückendem Gewicht von 2,81 kg extrem dick und schwer.
Viel der Größe und des Gewichts sind der Konfigurierbarkeit der Workstation geschuldet, die bis zu 3 Festplatten unterstützt. Der 15,6-Zoll große, matte Bildschirm hat die übliche FHD-Auflösung (1920 x 1080 Pixel) und ausreichende Helligkeit für klare Lesbarkeit in grellem Licht. Zudem verfügt das ZBook 15 über eine Tastatur in Vollgröße mit Hintergrundlicht und zwei Tasten-Gruppen am Touchpad.
Für seinen Preis bringt das ZBook 15 eine leistungsstarke Kombination von ISV-zertifizierter Hardware. Sacrifices have been made to the main CPU by fitting dual-core rather than quad-core, and the AMD GPU is a middleweight part rather than fire-breathing FirePro. But importantly the 15u runs cool and quiet enough not make itself a nuisance, even under load. Assuming the version we tested will cost under £2000 it could provide decent value, majoring on resilience more than style and sheer performance, but well enough equipped to prove attractive to the target professional audience.

Das HP ZBook 15u G3 ist eine dünne und leichte mobile Workstation in einem Magnesium-verstärkten Gehäuse. Der Bildschirmdeckel verfügt über eine Soft-Touch-Lackierung um ihren Umfang und ein elegantes, jedoch ziemlich dezentes Aluminium-Inlay in der Mitte. Der Bildschirmdeckel ist dünn, jedoch fest und widersteht Verwindungs- und Druckkräften gut. Das HP ZBook 15u G3 kann mit einigen verschiedenen Bildschirm-Optionen konfiguriert werden. Dazu gehören drei 1080p-Bildschirme - ein normaler, entspiegelter TN-LED-Bildschirm, ein entspiegeltes IPS-Panel mit Panel-Self-Refresh und in Touchscreen mit glänzender Oberfläche - und ein hochwertiges IPS-Display mit einer Auflösung von 3.840 x 2.160 Pixel. Das HP ZBook 15u G3 ist mit einem Intel Core i7-6600U konfiguriert. Diese verfügt über einen Basistakt von 2,6 GHz und Turbo-Frequenzen von bis zu 3,4 GHz (single-core) und 3,2 GHz (dual-core). Dies reicht sicherlich für Alltagsaufgaben, doch bei der Wahl einer Profi-Workstation sollte man die Einschränkungen eines Dual-Core-Chips berücksichtigen. Für die meisten User wird die CPU perfekt passen, vor allem in Kombination mit der eigenständigen AMD FirePro W4190M GPU und 16 GB of DDR4 RAM. Die Tastatur ist beleuchtet und die Tasten sind gut sichtbar. Rechts von der Tastatur befindet sich ein Nummernblock in voller Größe, was jene begrüßen werden, die viele Zahlen eingeben. Das HP ZBook 15u ist eine kompakte mobile Workstation mit Windows 10 und dem neuesten Intel Core i5 (7th Gen) 7200U 2.5 GHz Prozessor. Die vierte Generation ZBook ist zudem mit drei USB-Ports (Charging, 3.1 Gen 1 und USB 3.0), einem DisplayPort und einer 720p-HD-Webcam ausgestattet und bietet Usern einige HD-Touch bzw. 4K UHD Non-Touch Bildschirmoptionen. Das HP ZBook 15u wiegt ab 1,9 kg (4,18 Pfund) bei einer maximalen Bauhöhe von 19,9 mm. Das 15u verfügt über einen 15,6 Zoll großen Bildschirm mit Touchscreen-Option, ein Mikrofon bzw. ein Dual-Mikrofon-Array, wenn es mit der optionalen Webcam ausgestattet ist. Zudem bietet die Tastatur einen integrierten Nummernblock sowie einen Touchpoint für jene, die diesen immer noch gegenüber einem Touchpad bevorzugen. Die Seiten der Workstation beherbergen alle ihre Schnittstellen. An der rechten Seite befindet sich ein USB-Type-C-Charging-Port, ein Dual-Mode-DisplayPort für optionale digitale Bildschirme, ein SD-Speicherkartenleser, eine Kombi-Audiobuchse, ein USB-3.x-Port, ein platzsparender, zusammenklappender LAN-Port, Status-Anzeigen, ein SIM-Kartenslot und ein Strom-Anschluss. Außerdem verfügt das HP über Fast-Charging-Technologie, mit welcher User nach nur 30 Minuten Laden 50 % Akkulaufzeit verfügbar haben. Der entspiegelte 15,6-Zoll-SVA-TN-Bildschirm verfügt über Full-HD-Auflösung (1.920 x 1.080 Pixel), LED-Beleuchtung, ein 16:9 Seitenverhältnis, 300 cd/m² Helligkeit, ein typisches Kontrastverhältnis von 400:1, eine Bildwiederholfrequenz von 60 Hz, 142 PPI und Blickwinkel von 45/45/25/35°. Die eigenständige AMD FirePro W4190M Grafikkarte verfügt über 2 GB GDDR5 VRAM und liefert ein scharfes, klares Bild. Videoausgabe mit einer Auflösung von bis zu 3.840 x 2.160 Pixel auf externen Bildschirmen ist via DisplayPort 1.2 und VGA möglich. Während das System nativ 8 GB 2133 MHz DDR4 RAM in einer 1 x 8 GB Konfiguration inkludiert, kann die RAM-Kapazität mit 16-GB-Modulen in den beiden 260-Pin SODIMM-Slots auf bis zu 32 GB aufgerüstet werden. Für Speichern von Dateien ist das ZBook 15u G4 mit einer 1 TB 5400 U/min SATA III 2.5" / 7 mm Festplatte ausgestattet. Sollte der User den internen Speicher des Systems erweitern wollen: Es ist ein freier M.2 2280 Slot vorhanden. Als Business-Gerät startet das System jedes Mal mit einem echten HP BIOS. HP Sure Start Gen3 überwacht das In-Memory-BIOS, stellt die Plattform ohne User- oder Adminstratoreingriff wieder her, setzt das BIOS auf einen benutzerdefinierten Zustand zurück und eignet sich für zentrales Management in Firmen. Weitere Sicherheitsmerkmale umfassen Common Criteria EAL4+ Augmented Certified Discrete TPM 2.0 Embedded Security Chip, DriveLock, Absolute Persistence Module und Support für Intel AT. 2023 hatte HP einen ungefähren Marktanteil von 22% am weltweiten PC-Absatz und war damit die Nummer 2 nach Lenovo.
Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.
NVIDIA Quadro K610M: Workstation-Grafikkarte der Kepler-Architektur basierend auf dem 28nm GK107-Chip.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
