Fazit: Mit 2,35 kg ist das 14-Zoll-T60 von Lenovo kaum schwerer als Sub-Notebooks, bietet aber 5 cm mehr Bildschirmdiagonale. Das Display im Format 4:3 ist entspiegelt, zeigt weite Blickwinkel und leuchtet sehr gleichmäßig. Die Darstellung ist gut lesbar, es gibt aber Displays mit besserem Kontrast. Das Notebook ist eindeutig businessorientiert, denn für Filme reagiert das Display zu träge. Sicher geschützt sind die Daten auf dem Rechner, den Zugang kontrolliert ein Fingerprintsensor.

Fazit: Das T60 schneidet in den Bereichen Verarbeitung und Eingabegeräten ausgezeichnet ab. Das Display ist in Ordnung, dennoch sollte beim Griff zum Thinkpad ein höher auflösendes Panel gewählt werden, oder gleich zum FlexView Display gegriffen werden. Eine Investition die sich jedenfalls auszahlt. Im Hinblick auf die Leistungsdaten des T60 ist zu erwähnen, dass dieses in der Ausstattungsvariante mit einem integrierten Grafikchip, gerade bei 3D Anwendungen nicht überzeugen kann. In diesem Fall scheint das T60p mit einer ATI Mobility FireGL V5200 sehr interessant.

Fazit: The Lenovo Thinkpad T60 is the Core Duo successor to the popular T43. The T series is the flagship model in the Thinkpad series, and the T60 hopes to continue its tradition of durability and portability. Altogether, the T60 is a great notebook that will continue the T series' reputation. I would highly recommend it to a student or a professional who needs a notebook that is durable, portable, and does not sacrifice on performance. If you don't need to purchase a notebook until early 2007, I would suggest wait for the next T notebook, which will use Merom CPUs (second generation Core). Otherwise, T60 is certainly one of the best notebooks on the market.

Alt und neu: Trotz Unterstützung jeder erdenklichen Connectivity sind PC-Card- und ExpressCard-Steckplätze vorhanden.

Fazit: In vielfältiger Konfiguration erhältlicher Allrounder, allerdings ist das normale Display bestenfalls mittelmäßig. Mit dem T60 führt Lenovo die altgediente T-Serie fort, überspringt aber ein paar Nummern, hieß doch der Vorgänger mit Pentium M noch T43. Das T60 gibt es in der üblichen Modevielfalt in zwei Gehäusegrössen, das eine in 14-Zoll, das andere mit 15-Zoll-Display.

Fazit: I have been using this Thinkpad for about 2 weeks now, and I can say that of all the machines I hav used, this is the best. I wanted a T60P, but i couldn't justify the additional $800 right now, I just need something to travel with. The laptop itself was $1200. I got a 3 year accidental damage warranty for $129 And a worthless "asset tag" which is basically a sticker with my name, for $6 Out the door including tax it was about $1400. I chose the regular screen over the widescreen Z series of Thinkpads because pretty much all the media I have on my HD is for regular screens. The screen is actually pretty good for a "business" notebook, it isn't as sharp as a Truelife or Crystal view, but it is pretty close. All angles are viewable, except from top down.

Fazit: Das Gerät bietet unglaublich viel. Leider kostet es auch unglaublich viel. Aber wer es zum arbeiten benötigt sollte investieren denn ein weiteres Extra ist auch die 3-jährige Garantie. Desweiteren habe ich in einer PC-Zeitschrift gelesen dass bei IBM notebooks die geringste Ausfallrate herrscht was auch ein entscheidender Kaufgrund für mich war. Etwas unglücklich fand ich den Support des Gerätes. Ich wollte eine kleinigkeit wissen und wurde erstmal 15 min in eine kostenpflichtige Hotline gehängt.. ich finde soetwas sollte nicht sein bei einem so teueren Gerät.

Fazit: Ein wirklich tolles Notebook, recht flach, nicht sehr schwer, toll verarbeitet, man spürt dies schon beim anfassen, geniale Eingabegeräte, super Display, super Notebook, wäre da nicht das Rauschen der Platte und des Lüfters. Lenovo hat hierzu das aktuelle BIOS zurückgezogen und überarbeitet es wohl, damit der Lüfter in Stufe 1 langsamer läuft. Also NHC und TPFancontrol auf alle Fälle installieren, damit finde ich die Geräuschkulisse eigentlich auch im ruhigen Kellerbüro ganz in Ordnung. Aber einige wird es weiterhin sicher stören.

Fazit: Es mag ein sehr subjektives Urteil des Testers sein, aber es steht felsenfest: An die Robustheit des T60 kommt wenig heran – außer vielleicht ein anderes Thinkpad. Ganz gleich, ob das Notebook unsanft am Displaydeckel hochgehoben wird oder ob der Displaydeckel beim schließen satt einrastet: Man hat nie den Eindruck, das Gerät könnte Schaden nehmen. Die hervorragende Tastatur und das umfangreiche Zubehörprogramm von Netzteilen, Akkus oder Docking-Stationen tun ihr Übriges, um den Business-Anspruch des T60 zu unterstreichen. Einzig das bestenfalls durchschnittliche Display lässt keine Freude aufkommen. Denn auch Geschäftskunden wissen den Raumvorteil von 15,4-Zoll-Widescreen-Displays zu schätzen und mögen es, wenn der Schirm den Inhalt kontrastreich darstellt. Beides vermissen wir beim getesteten T60.

Fazit: Ein Traum von einem Notebook, werde wohl nie wieder ohne ein Thinkpad leben können. 1A Verarbeitung, viele sinnvolle Zusatztools, Ultranav (roter Mausersatz auf der Tastatur), Hammer-Display sind nur einige der Gründe... Die minimalen Schwächen bei der Lautstärke stören mich persönlich nicht weiter, mag aber sein, dass manche Leute dies als Minuspunkt werten würden. Im Auslieferungszustand ist ein sehr zugemülltes WinXP installiert (u.a. auch Google Programme). Wenn dieses ausgetauscht wird, hilft einem der "Software Installer" bei der Installation aller wichtigen Programme und Treiber. Die IBM Access Connection wählt jederzeit die aktuell beste, verfügbare Verbindung zum LAN und macht somit den Wechsel von LAN zu WLAN oder Standortwechsel sehr angenehm. Alleine alle Vorteile der Zusatztools zu beschreiben würde jetzt hier diesen Rahmen sprengen.

Fazit: Lenovo has today announced a refresh to their T60 series notebook that introduces the widescreen form factor as an option. While many manufacturers have been shifting their business notebooks to widescreen, Lenovo will continue to offer the T60 in either a widescreen or standard 4:3 screen ratio format. Following is a review and discussion of the T60 widescreen. While the introduction of the Z-series carried the ThinkPad line into the world of the widescreen format last year, many look upon the current Z1m and Z61t notebooks as being somewhat consumer oriented. The T-series is all business, and it's a sure sign of the times that Lenovo has decided to create an offshoot of this model that evolves into widescreen. Widescreen is just where things are going right now. The widescreen format really does offer a productivity advantage for some people in the work that they do, it's not just about being able to watch movies more favorably.

Fazit: In conclusion, the ThinkPad T60 is a great notebook. In every aspect it scores good to great. It has excellent feel and second to none quality. The ThinkPad is one of the most expensive brands, but the Thinkpad’s competitive edge is not based on price, it's all about quality. If you start competing on price, you will lose what you are known for; quality. The T60 is meant for the buyer who wants value, quality, and wants to use it for 3 to 4 years. Though you can find a notebook with similar specs for a couple of hundred dollars less, you will end up spending more by buying a new notebook before a Thinkpad’s life expectancy is done. I suggest investing a little more money now, and have a laptop that will last longer and have a higher value longer.

Fazit: So far the ThinkPad T60 15.4 inch wide screen has been exactly what was called for. It is bulky to carry when compared to my ultra-portable Dell 300M it replaces. However, it is not possible to have a nice big usable screen and perfect potability. For all the power and screen real estate the T60 WS is small. I can easily see this laptop lasting 5 years of heavy use and being retired for performance not reliability issues. The screen, keyboard, and build of this laptop are what make it a good laptop. One of these factors, the screen, is apparently more variable than the others. It should be noted that some people hate the Samsung screen that I do not have. Performance-wise it is exactly what you would expect from a laptop with this hardware: excellent.

Fazit: I can unequivocally say that the T60 widescreen kicks some serious ass. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the high resolution on a relatively small screen (15.4”) but I was quickly won over. I expected the build quality to be top notch, and I wasn’t disappointed. I was happy to see Lenovo offer the Core 2 Duo T7400 (2.16GHz, 667MHz FSB, 4MB L2 Cache) as my own personal non-widescreen T60 is “only” Core Duo. Oh, and did I mention that there’s a TrackPoint, the most accurate mousing device outside of an actual mouse? Lastly, the biometrics felt solid, and improved over the last ThinkPad I had.

Fazit: This lightweight business laptop has capacious battery life and ships with Windows Vista Business. A very nice corporate laptop, the Lenovo ThinkPad T60 is ideal for on-the-go executives who chafe at ultraportable limitations. It's big enough to have a 14.1-inch screen and a first-rate keyboard, yet plenty light enough to carry, at 5.7 pounds. Battery life with the nine-cell upgrade included with our $1899 (as of 5/9/07) review unit was superb.

Fazit: In closing, I believe I made the right choice in purchasing a Lenovo. It has performed beautifully to my standards and surpassed my expectations. After customizing it to my preferences, I believe that this laptop truly is one of the best laptops out there overall. While it may not be appealing to the gaming community, for everything else this laptop has it. I finally have my dream laptop.

Fazit: While the introduction of the Z-series carried the ThinkPad line into the world of the widescreen format last year, many look upon the current Z1m and Z61t notebooks as being somewhat consumer oriented. The T-series is all business, and it’s a sure sign of the times that Lenovo has decided to create an offshoot of this model that evolves into widescreen. Widescreen is just where things are going right now. The widescreen format really does offer a productivity advantage for some people in the work that they do, it’s not just about being able to watch movies more favorably.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950

Es handelt sich um einen onboard Grafikchip und kann als schneller getakteter GMA 900 bezeichnet werden (auf Mobile Intel 945GM Express Chipsatz) mit 400 MHz Kerntakt, 4 Pixel-Pipelines, Shared Memory, Direct X 9 Vertex Shader 3.0 und Transorm und Lighting Support sowie HDTV Hardware Motion Compensation. Der Chip ist in unserem Grafikkarten-Vergleich in der zweitschlechtesten Leistungsklasse 5 (1=beste, 6=schlechteste) eingeordnet und kann daher nur für ältere Spiele sinvoll eingesetzt werden. Für Büroanwendungen und zum Surfen reicht es aber ohne Probleme. Der Vorteil von integrierten Grafiklösungen ist ein geringer Stromverbrauch, was längere Akkulaufzeiten ermöglicht. Speziell für Subnotebooks, wo Mobilität wichtig ist, ist das nützlich. Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 ist bei den integrierten Grafik-Lösungen derzeit sehr empfehlenswert. Intel Core Duo

Dieser Prozessor ist der Nachfolger des Pentium M, ein Doppelkernprozessor mit einem sehr guten Verhältnis von Leistung zu Stromverbrauch. Die 2 MB L2 Cache werden von dem Doppel gemeinsam genutzt. Die maximale Leistungsaufnahme von 31 Watt ist nur 4 Watt mehr als beim Pentium M (Vorgänger). Beide Kerne werden automatisch und unabhängig von einander per Speedstep bis auf 1 GHz abgesenkt. Ausserdem unterstützt er nun auch SSE3 Befehle. Nach ersten Benchmarks absolviert der Core Duo alle Tests mindestens genauso schnell wie ein gleichgetakteter Pentium M. Bei Anwendungen die für Multiprozessoren designed wurden, kann die Performance fast doppelt so schnell ausfallen als beim Pentium M (z.B. CineBench um 86% schneller) . Die die schwächeren Typen wie T2300 und T2400 oder die L-Varianten eignen sich gut für Büroanwendungen und zum Surfen, die stärkeren Typen wie T2500 und T2600 eignen sich zusätzlich auch gut für Spiele. Die L-Varianten zeichnen sich durch besonders geringen Stromverbrauch aus. Aufgrund geringen Stromverbrauchs eignen sich die Core Duo - Prozessoren auch für Subnotebooks. 15.1 Zoll Display

15 Zoll Display-Varianten sind der Standard und werden für mehr als die Hälfte aller Notebooks verwendet. Der Grund der Beliebtheit ist, dass diese Größe einigermaßen augenschonend ist und dennoch nicht allzu viel Strom verbraucht und die Geräte noch halbwegs kompakt sein können. Dieses Notebook liegt in Bezug auf sein Gewicht im Durchschnitt. Die Hälfte aller Laptops wiegt in etwa um die 2900 Gramm und ist noch halbwegs angenehm zu tragen und bietet trotzdem ausreichend Platz für notwendige Komponenten und ein relativ ergonomisches Gehäuse.
