Für jene die die Lenovo Yoga Marke nicht kennen: Bei diesen flexiblen Geräten kann der Bildschirm 360 Grad nach hinten geschwenkt werden, wodurch sich der Laptop in ein Tablet verwandelt. Wer die vorige Generation des Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga kennt: Es wurde weithin als Design-Fehler erachtet, dass die Tastatur im Tablet-Mode in der Hand gehalten wird. Die neuesten 12 Zoll Lenovo Thinkpad Yogas weisen nun einen Mechanismus auf, der die Tasten in den Körper zurückzieht, sobald der Bildschirm im Tablet-Modus ist. Daher sind die Tasten nicht erhöht und können nicht gedrückt werden. Lenovo nennt diese Innovation "Lift-and-Lock"-System.

Mit einem Gewicht von 1,578 kg, ist das Gerät eher schwer für ein Tablet. Daher ist der integrierte Klappständer (die Tastatur) praktisch. Anwender können den Bildschirm im Zelt-Modus (Tent-Mode) oder Stand-Modus aufstellen, um die Tastatur aus dem Weg zu räumen. Für ein portables Notebook ist das Gerät leicht und der 12,5 Zoll IPS-Bildschirm sollte dank Full HD für gute Bilder sorgen. Im Inneren arbeitet ein Intel Prozessor der vierten Generation, sodass die Akkulaufzeit gut sein sollte. Verschiedene Haswell Chips bis zum i7 stehen zur Auswahl, wodurch viele Nutzer-Preferenzen abgedeckt sind. Eine gute Schnittstellenauswahl ermöglicht zahlreiche Business- und Entertainment-Szenarios.

Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14

Das ThinkPad Yoga 14 ist der jüngste Laptop-Tablet-Hybride von Lenovo bis jetzt. Anders als herkömmliche Laptops, ermöglicht es ihm sein neuartiges Design, den Bildschirm nach hinten zu falten und als Tablet zu genutzt zu werden. Bei einem bestimmten Öffnungswinkel, werden die Tasten in die Tastatur versenkt, was ein ziemlich guter Trick ist

Das Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14 verfügt über einen 14 Zoll großen Touchscreen mit FHD-Auflösung und wiegt ziemlich beträchtliche 1,86 kg. Das Design gleicht dem 12,5 Zoll großen ThinkPad Yoga, das letztes Jahr herausgegeben wurde, fast vollständig: ein mattschwarzes Gehäuse, das geschäftsmäßig aussieht. Insgesamt ist das Design tatsächlich eher ungeschickt, was für allem bei Verwendung als Tablet-Ersatz auffällt. Der Akku ist ziemlich gut und hält 8 Stunden bei normaler Nutzung durch.

Die Falt-Lösung des ThinkPad Toga 14 ermöglicht 4 verschiedene Modi. Der Laptop-Modus eignet sich gut für Textverarbeitung. Der Stand-Modus ist gut für Präsentationen. Der Zelt-Modus ist nützlich für Video-Schauen. Schlussendlich erleichtert der Tablet-Modus die Nutzung unterwegs. Robuste Metall-Scharniere erlauben einen reibungslosen Übergang zwischen den verschiedenen Mode, was ziemlich cool ist.

It pains me that I can't wholeheartedly recommend the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 14. Barring these serious battery issues, this is an excellent laptop. Everything from the screen, to the build quality and Lenovo's usual stellar inputs are fantastic, but this machine could potentially be a lemon. Die Tastatur ist subjektiv nicht mehr so überragend, auch wenn der einfahrende Tastaturrahmen ein nettes Detail ist. Und uns gefiel, ebenfalls subjektiv, das etwas grobschlächtigere, aber charakterstarke Trackpad der Vorgängerreihe besser.

Man kann darüber streiten, ob ein - zumal noch so schweres - 14-Zoll-Tablet sinnvoll nutzbar ist. Doch unbestreitbar ist, dass Lenovos Multi-Mode-Ansatz für flexiblere Geräte sorgt. Selbst wer den Tablet-Modus nicht nutzt, kann immer noch vom Stand- oder Tent-Modus oder zumindest vom maximal anpassbaren Neigungswinkel des Displays profitieren.

Even with display and battery issues, there's a lot to like about the Thinkpad Yoga 12. It's fast and reliable enough to serve well as a productivity tool, and whether it's being used for work or play, the build quality and keyboard are among the best in the business. However, these qualities come at a cost; specifically, £679.99 and upwards. That's the price of the most basic model, and the test machine we used (which approaches the highest end of hardware configurations) is a cool £1,110. That makes it a luxury purchase, rather than something that can be rolled out to staff en masse.

Das Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 15 ist ein flexibler Laptop mit einem 360-Grad-Scharnier, mit welchem es als Laptop und Tablet verwendet werden kann. Je nach Anforderungen des Nutzers, ist es entweder einen Intel Core i5 oder Core i7 Prozessor, bis zu 8 GB of DDR3L RAM und bis zu 256 GB SSD SATA-Speicher ausgestattet. Es nutzt eine NVIDIA GeForce 840M mit 2 GB VRAM um seinen 15,6 Zoll großen, matten IPS-Bildschirm mit Full-HD Auflösung (1920 x 1080 Pixel) anzusteuern. Die Front-Kamera nimmt mit bis zu 720p auf und die einzigartige Tastatur wird für einen angenehmen Tablet-Betrieb in den Körper versenkt, wenn der Bildschirm zurück gefaltet wird. Die Tastatur verfügt über einen Nummernblock und ein 3+2-Button-Clickpad. Das Gerät bietet folgende Schnittstellen: zwei USB-3.0-Ports, einen USB-2.0-Port, einen SD-Kartenleser und einen HDMI-Port. Zur Kommunikation stehen eine übliche WiFi-Karte und Bluetooth 4.0 zur Verfügung. Schließlich hält das Yoga 15 mit dem Standard-Akku bis zu 8 Stunden durch und wiegt nur 2.3 kg.

My personal take? A 15.6", 5 pound convertible is just too big for frequent use as a convertible. The 14" ThinkPad Yoga 14 is my cut off. You of course, may be different, and Lenovo seems to have removed the 14" model from their website, so if you want a ThinkPad Yoga bigger than the 12.5" model, it's the 15.6" model for you.

The Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 15 may be difficult to categorize, with its combination of desktop-replacement design and convertible functionality, but the end result is a competent business laptop. Unfortunately, the convertible design feels like something of a waste in this 15-inch, 5.1-pound system, as it's far too large for tablet use, though you may get some use out of Tent and Stand modes. In the end, it's best viewed as a solid business system with touch capability. The most comparable Editors' Choice, the Apple MacBook Pro 15-Inch Retina Display, bests it in both performance and battery life, while other alternatives, like the workstation Dell Precision M3800 (2015) offer more processing muscle.

The ThinkPad Yoga 15 is a good alternative to other 15.6″ business notebooks if you’re interested in the versatility of the fold-back design. This allows the Yoga 15 to work as a tablet although you’ll find it’s quite cumbersome and heavy and probably shouldn’t be viewed as a device that can replace your iPad. Realistically it’s just not designed to be a tablet all the time. The Yoga 15 has a beautiful screen with touch, a spacious keyboard, a good clickpad and has respectable speakers.

Das Lenovo ThinkPad 260 20FD001XGE ist mehr als nur ultraportabel – als erweitertes Büro für unterwegs hat es einiges an Leistung und praktische Features zu bieten. Das vielseitige Business-Convertible kann auf vier verschiedene Arten verwendet werden und dank des neuen Sync – Scharniers kann es sogar in flachliegender Position benützt werden. Die vier Betriebsmodi sorgen für kreativen Gestaltungsfreiraum zum Kreieren und Teilen von Inhalten. Das Ultrabook bietet eine qualitativ hochwertige Konstruktion, die mit ihrer matten und stabilen Oberfläche gleichermaßen schlicht wie ansprechend wirkt. Das Gehäuse besteht vor allem aus Kohlefaser, was das Gehäuse in eine graphitschwarze Farbe hüllt. Es hat ein stabiles Scharnier an der Baseeinheit erhalten, welche um bis zu 360 Grad gedreht werden kann. Des Weiteren gibt es einen Mechanismus, der das Tastaturgitter hebt und die Tasten fixiert. Das Tastatur bietet eine gute Haptik, was die neue Unterseite des Tablets gleichmäßiger erscheinen lässt und somit auch angenehmer zum Tragen. Im Tabletmodus wird die Tastatur des Ultrabooks deaktiviert. Das Gerät ist 309,9 mm x 2220 x 17,8 mm groß und wiegt etwa 1,32 kg.
Hinsichtlich der Hardware-Spezifikationen hat es einen Intel Core i5 Prozessor mit Intel HD Grafik, 8 GB DDR4 RAM und eine 256-GB-M.2.-SSD zu bieten. Demnach ist es gut für den durchschnittlichen User ausgestattet und kann Produktivität und Medienapps ganz ohne Probleme stemmen. Was den Akku betrifft, wurde ein Li-Polymer-4-Zellen-Akku (44 Wh) verbaut, welcher bis zu 10 Stunden Kapazität bereitstellen kann. Um den Komfort beim Videotelefonieren zu erhöhen, hat es auch eine HD 720p-Webkamera mit eingebautem Fokus mit an Bord. Für hervorragende Audioqualität sorgt auch die verbaute Software HD Audio mit Conexant CX11852 Codec für Dolby Home Theater v4. Der Touch-Display des Ultrabooks ist ein IPS-Screen mit einer Größe von 12,5 Zoll und einer Auflösung von 1.920 x 1.080 Pixeln. Er ist zudem nicht spiegelnd und reflektiert aufgrund des LED-Hintergrundlichts nicht die Umgebung. Multitouch wird mit bis zu 10 Fingern unterstützt. Eine weitere Besonderheit des Displays ist, dass auch die Verwendung mit einem digitalen Stift, der sich auch in der Verpackung befindet, aktiviert ist und eine Handschriften-Software ist auch gleich vorinstalliert. Der beigelieferte ThinkPad Pen Pro hat auch die gleiche Größe wie ein normaler Kugelschreiber. Seine 2.048 Drucklevel generieren adäquate Eingaben. Auch die installierte WRITEit Software kann Handschrift in fast jedem Textfeld in eine Dateneingabe verwandeln und kann auch automatisch im eigenen Ablagefach des Ultrabooks aufgeladen werden. Das Yoga 260 ist zudem ausgestattet mit einem Trusted Platform Module (dTPM), welches einen kryptographischen Code generiert, um den User des Computers zu identifizieren. Zuletzt kann noch gesagt werden, Lenovo es geschafft hat, eine Vielzahl an Ports zu verbauen, und das obwohl das Yoga 260 nur der Ultrabookklasse angehört. Mitunter sind ein SIM-Kartenschacht, 2 USB 3.0 Ports, ein HDMI-Port und ein Kartenleser mit dabei. Das Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 260 20FD001XGE ist das perfekte Gerät für Business-User, obwohl der Preis wohl so manchen vergraulen könnte.

The ThinkPad Yoga 260 is a solid 2-in-1 notebook that does indeed fill an important role in the world of business by combining a standard ultraportable Windows notebook with the convenience of a tablet. IT professionals will have a hard time finding a better 2-in-1 priced at less than $1000 that offers all the business-essential features in the ThinkPad Yoga 260. Our biggest complaints are mediocre battery life, a stunningly wide bezel and a pen that’s too small for adult hands.

Lenovo:

Lenovo („Le“ vom englischen legend, novo (Latein) für neu) wurde 1984 als chinesische Computerhandelsfirma gegründet. Ab 2004 war die Firma der größte Laptop-Hersteller Chinas und nach der Übernahme der PC-Sparte von IBM im Jahr 2005 der viertgrößte weltweit. Neben Desktops und Notebooks stellt das Unternehmen Monitore, Beamer, Server etc her und hat sich auf die Entwicklung, Herstellung und Vermarktung von Unterhaltungselektronik, Personalcomputern, Software, Unternehmenslösungen und damit verbundenen Dienstleistungen spezialisiert.

Im Jahr 2016 belegte das Unternehmen weltweit den ersten Platz bei den Computerverkäufen. Auch 2023 hatte es ihn noch inne bei ca 23% Weltmarktanteil. Wichtige Produktreihen sind Thinkpad, Legion und Ideapad.

2011 wurde die Mehrheit der Medion AG übernommen, einem europäischen Computer-Hardware-Hersteller. 2014 wurde Motorola Mobility gekauft, wodurch Lenovo einen Schub am Smartphone-Markt erreichte.

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

Intel HD Graphics 4400: In den Haswell-Prozessoren (4. Generation Core) integrierte Grafikkarte in mittlerer Ausbaustufe (GT2). Je nach Prozessor unterschiedlich getaktet.

Intel HD Graphics 5500: Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT2), welche in einigen Broadwell-ULV-CPUs (15 Watt TDP) verbaut wird.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

NVIDIA GeForce 840M: Notebook-Grafikkarte der Mittelklasse, die auf der Maxwell-Architektur basiert. Wird in 28 Nanometern gefertigt und verfügt über ein 64 Bit DDR3-Speicherinterface.

NVIDIA GeForce 940M: Notebook-Grafikkarte der Mittelklasse, die auf der Maxwell-Architektur basiert. Wird in 28 Nanometern gefertigt und verfügt über ein 64 Bit DDR3-Speicherinterface.

Intel HD Graphics 520: Integrierte Grafikkarte (GT2), welche in einigen Skylake-CPUs (ULV-Modelle, 15 Watt TDP) verbaut wird.

14 Zoll Display-Grösse stellt ein Mittelding zwischen den kleinen Subnotebook-Formaten und den Bildschirmen der 15 Zoll-Standard-Laptops dar.

Der Grund der Beliebtheit mittelgrosser Displays ist, dass diese Größe einigermaßen augenschonend ist, gute Auflösungen mit brauchbaren Detailgrößen liefern und dennoch nicht allzu viel Strom verbraucht und die Geräte noch halbwegs kompakt sein können. 

Früher waren 14 Zoll-Geräte sehr selten, jetzt stellen sie nach den 15-Zollern den Standard bei Laptops dar.

Most smartphones and only a few tablets fall into this weight category. Only a few smartphones are heavier and should rather be considered tablets.

2.3 kg:

In this weight range, there are particularly light laptops, convertibles and subnotebooks that are trimmed for good portability.

76.8%: Weltbewegend ist diese Bewertung nicht. Diese Bewertung muss man eigentlich als unterdurchschnittlich ansehen, denn es gibt etwa ebenso mehr Geräte mit schlechtere Beurteilungen als Besseren. Eine Kaufempfehlung kann man nur mit viel Wohlwollen darin sehen, es sei denn es handelt sich um Websites, die generell streng urteilen.
