Toshiba presents new Tecra M9 and A9 models

Toshiba expands its Tecra M9 and A9 product line by adding four new notebook models.

Toshiba Tecra M9:

The Tecra M9 is equipped with a 14.1” display featuring a WXGA+ resolution. The notebook provides either Nvidia Quadro NVS 130M graphics with 256 MB VRAM or an integrated Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100.

The laptop is equipped with an Intel CPU, and the customer can decide between a Core 2 Duo T7700 CPU with 2.4 GHz, a Core 2 Duo T7500 CPU with 2.2 GHz and a Core 2 Duo T5670 processor with 1.8 GHz. There are included 2 GB or 4 GB RAM (max).

A 250 or 160 GB hard disk and WLAN (802.11 a/g/pre-n) are installed. Furthermore, a Bluetooth 2.0 adapter is included as well. If there is no WLAN hotspot in range, then the customer can use the integrated 3G/UMTS module for connecting to the internet.

The Tecra M9 is already available and costs between € 1.160 and € 1.970.

Toshiba Tecra A9:

The Toshiba Tecra A9 is equipped with a 15.4” display and shows content with WXGA resolution. It offers the Intel 965GM Express chipset and provides an Intel Core 2 Duo T5670 CPU with 1.8 GHz.

Furthermore, there are installed 2 GB RAM, which can be upgraded up to 4 GB and a 160 GB hard drive. WLAN (802.11 a/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.0 are included too. An Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X3100 is built in as well.

The Tecra A9 is shipped with Windows Vista Business Edition and Windows XP. It is already available and costs € 910.
