Overall, the new Toshiba Satellite E305 is an absolutely good notebook albeit with somewhat crappy Touchpad. Nonetheless, this issue is minor compared to the amazing design and other brilliant additions like wireless Display 2.0 technology, Blu-ray playback, USB 3.0, cool operating temperature, and a Sandy Bridge processor.

There's no question Toshiba's Satellite E305 has a lot to offer: a striking aluminum body, Intel's easy-to-use Wireless Display 2.0 technology, Blu-ray playback, USB 3.0, cool operating temperature, and a Sandy Bridge processor more than powerful enough for everyday use. It's a crying shame, then, that something as basic as a Touchpad could make this laptop stumble.

Best Buy and Toshiba have done it again. For $899, the Satellite E305 delivers a good balance of Core i5 speed and endurance. The design isn't for everyone, but the backlit keyboard, Blu-ray drive, and bundled Wireless Display adapter all help justify the price tag. While gamers should look at systems with discrete graphics such as the ASUS U41Jf, overall the Satellite E305 is one of the best 14-inch laptops you can buy.

That’s what Best Buy did, and it resulted with the superb Toshiba Satellite E305-S1990X, a top-notch, low-price notebook chock-full of features and performance without the extras that can sometimes weigh a notebook down. The Satellite E305 pairs superb performance with a slick design to create one of the best thin-and-light laptops on the market.

Intel HD Graphics 3000: In Sandy Bridge Prozessoren (Core ix-2xxx) integrierte Grafikkarte von Intel. Stärkere GT2 genannte Version mit 12 Execution Units (EUs). Je nach Modell mit unterschiedlichen Taktraten (350-650MHz) und TurboBoost Unterstützung (900-1350MHz).

Einige nicht anspruchsvolle aktuelle Spiele können mit geringen Details noch flüssig gespielt werden. Für Office und Video natürlich ausreichende Leistungsreserven.

14.0": 14 Zoll Display-Grösse stellt ein Mittelding zwischen den kleinen Subnotebook-Formaten und dem 15 Zoll-Standard-Display dar.
