Der Intel Atom 230 ist ein für Nettops (kleine Desktops) gedachter Atom Prozessor. Im Vergleich zum Intel Atom N270 fehlen dem 230 Stromsparfunktionen wie Speedstep und er hat ein relativ hohes TDP Rating von 4 Watt. 

Durch die "in-order" Architektur ist er pro Takt deutlich langsamer als ähnlich getaktete Core 2 Duo Modelle, jedoch unterstützt er bereits Mutlithreading um 2 Threads gleichzeitig auszuführen.

Der Intel Atom Z510 ist ein stromsparender und sehr langsam getakteter Prozessor für MIDs und sehr kleine Netbooks. Die Performance der CPU reicht jedoch nur für sehr einfache Aufgaben. Im Vergleich zum Z500 fehlt dem Z510 Hyper-Threading und er braucht mit 2W deutlich mehr Strom (vs 0.65W TDP). 64 Bit Befehle werden von beiden nicht unterstützt.

In Verbindung mit dem US15W (Poulsbo) Chipsatz brauch die Kombination knapp unter 4.3 Watt (2 + 2.3 W).
