Der Intel Celeron 847 ist ein Ultra Low Voltage (ULV) Einstiegs Doppelkernprozessor für kleine und leichte Notebooks welcher Mitte 2011 vorgestellt wird/wurde. Er bietet zwei Kerne und basiert auf der Sandy Bridge Architektur. Im Vergleich zu den Core i3, i5 und i7 Doppelkernprozessoren, sind jedoch einige Features deaktiviert (Turbo Boost, VT-d, Trusted Execution, AES).  Die integrierte Grafikkarte basiert auf die HD Graphics 2000, wird jedoch von Intel nur HD Graphics benannt und mit 350 bzw. 800MHz (Turbo Boost) getaktet. Ausserdem ist ein DDR3-1333 Dual Channel Speicherkontroller in dem Prozessor integriert.

Die Performance liegt dank der verbesserten Architektur etwas oberhalb einer ähnlich getakteten Arrandale CPU und wahrscheinlich auf dem Level eines Intel Pentium U5400 mit 1.2 GHz.

Die Sandy Bridge Doppelkernprozessoren beinhalten im angegebenen TDP von 17 Watt auch die Grafikkarte und den Speicherkontroller. Mit 17W TDP eignet sich der Prozessor für sehr kleine und leichte Notebooks.

Der Intel Celeron B830 ist ein Doppelkern Notebookprozessor für Einsteigergeräte. Er ist mit 1.8 GHz getaktet und dürfte eine Performance eines 1.9 GHz Celeron/Pentium der Arrandale Famile erreichen (z.B. Pentium P6000).

Er bietet eine integrierte Intel HD Graphics (650-950MHz) Grafikkarte. Auf Features wie Turbo Boost, Hyperthreading, AES und Virtualization VT-d muss der Celeron verzichten. Auch einige Stromsparfunktionen könnten deaktiviert sein, worduch die Akkulaufzeit im Vergleich zu Core i3 Prozessoren leidet. Intel Insider, Quick Sync und Wireless Display wird ebenfalls nicht unterstützt.

Der integrierte DDR3-1066/1333 Dual-Channel Speichercontroller unterstützt bis zu 8 GB.
