Der Samsung Exynos 9 9820 ist ein System on a Chip (SoC) für Smartphones und Tablets. Er wurde im November 2018 von Samsung vorgestellt und ab Jänner in den Samsung Galaxy S10 Smartphones verbaut. Er integriert drei Cluster. Zwei eigene Samsung Mongoose Performance Kerne mit bis zu 2,7 GHz, zwei ARM Cortex-A75 Performance Kerne mit bis zu 2,3 GHz und vier ARM-Cortex A55 Stromsparkerne mit bis zu 1,9 GHz. Zusätzlich ist eine ARM Mali G76MP12 (12 Kerne) verbaut und das LTE Modem beherrscht nun LTE-Advanced Pro Cat.20 ( Download 8CA 2Gbps / Upload 3CA 316 Mbps). 

Die Performance der Prozessorkerne positioniert sich im High-End Segment von 2018/2019. Im Vergleich zum Vorgänger Exynos 9810, kann sich der 9820 um 17% (Schnitt unserer ersten Benchmarks mit dem S10 Plus) durchsetzen. Verglichen zum Snapdragon 855, kann sich der 9820 im Single-Core-Benchmark von Geekbench 4.3 deutlich durchsetzen und positioniert sich auf einer Ebene im Multi-Core-Test.

Der SoC wird bei Samsung im neuen 8nm LPP gefertigt.

Der Samsung Exynos 9 9810 ist ein System on a Chip (SoC) für Smartphones und Tablets. Er wurde Anfang 2018 von Samsung vorgestellt und dürfte in zukünftigen Flaggschiffen wie dem Galaxy S9 verbaut werden. Als Prozessor sind zwei Cluster für Performance und Stromsparen verbaut. Vier Exynos M3 Kerne von Samsung mit bis zu 2,9 GHz sollen für eine schnelle Performance sorgen und vier kleine ARM Cortex-A55 mit bis zu 1,9 GHz werden bei stromsparenden Aufgaben genutzt. Zusätlich ist eine ARM Mali G72MP18 (18 Kerne) verbaut die wahrscheinlich höher getaktet wird als die alte G71MP20 mit 546 MHz um die angekündigte höhere Geschwindigkeit zu erreichen. Bei dem integrierten LTE Modem setzt Samsung wieder Maßstäbe und bietet erstmals ein Cat 18/13 LTE Modem mit bis zu 1.2 Gbits Download (6x20 MHz CA) und 200 Mbps Upload (2x20 MHz CA). Als Speicherkontroller kommt wie beim Exynos 8895 ein LPDDR4x 1800 MHz zum Einsatz. Die Videoengine unterstützt nun auch 10 Bit Content bei 4K 120 Hz H.265/HEVC, H.264 und VP9 (En- und Dekodierung). Produziert wird der SoC bei Samsung im neuen 10nm LPP Prozess (Exynos 8895 noch 10nm LPE).
