Der MediaTek Helio P22T MT8768T ist ein günstiges SoC für Android-Smartphones und -Tablets der Einsteiger-Klasse. Das Prozessor besitzt 8 Prozessorkerne unterteilt in zwei Cluster: 4 Cortex-A53-Kerne mit bis zu 2,3 GHz und 4 Cortex-A53-Kerne mit bis zu 1,8 GHz. Im Vergleich zum langsameren MT8768 taktet die CPU Kerne höher.

Als Grafikchip kommt ein IMG PowerVR GE8320 zum Einsatz (650 MHz), der Speichercontroller unterstützt LPDDR4x. Der integrierte Videoencoder unterstützt nur H.264 mit maximal 1080p30, der Decoder auch H.265 ebenfalls mit 1080p30.

Das integrierte LTE-Modem unterstützt 4G (Cat-7 Download, Cat-13 Upload). Bluetooth 5.0 und die WLAN-Standards bis Wi-Fi 5 werden unterstützt.

Das SoC wird wahrscheinlich wie der MT8768 im 12nm-FinFET-Herstellungsverfahren produziert.

Mediatek MT6750N

Der Mediatek MT6750N ist ein ARM-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) der oberen Mittelklasse, der sowohl in Smartphones als auch Tablets (hauptsächlich Android) eingesetzt werden kann. Er wird in 28 Nanometern gefertigt und verfügt über acht CPU-Kerne auf Basis der 64-Bit-fähigen Cortex-A53-Architektur. Die 4 Kerne im Performance Cluster takten mit maximal 1.5 GHz, die 4 Kerne im Stromsparcluster mit maximal 1 GHz. Weiterhin integriert sind unter anderem ein LTE-Modem sowie sowie WLAN (802.11n) und Bluetooth.  Im Vergleich zum MT6750, bietet der MT6750N anscheinend eine etwas höher getaktete ARM Mali-T860 MP2 Grafikkarte.

Prozessor

Der Cortex-A53 kann als Nachfolger des beliebten Cortex-A7-Designs betrachtet werden. Neben der von 32 auf 64 Bit verbreiterten Prozessorarchitektur (ARMv8-ISA), die unter anderem die Adressierung von mehr als 4 GB Arbeitsspeicher erlaubt, wurden auch weitere Details wie die Sprungvorhersage optimiert. Insgesamt steigt die Pro-MHz-Leistung dadurch deutlich an und liegt sogar etwas oberhalb eines Cortex-A9-Kernes. Die acht Kerne des MT6750 takten mit bis zu 1 - 1,5 GHz, sodass sich der SoC etwas unter des Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 (8x Cortex-A53, 1,7 GHz) platziert. Bei voller Auslastung aller acht Kerne würde die Leistung sogar im High-End-Bereich liegen, doch ist in der Praxis kaum derart gut parallelisierte Software anzutreffen.

Features

Neben CPU und Grafikeinheit integriert der Chip auch einen Speichercontroller sowie ein Mobilfunkmodem (Cat. 6 LTE (FDD & TDD), DC-HSPA+, TD-SCDMA, CDMA2000, EDGE), WLAN nach 802.11n und Bluetooth. Die integrierte Videoengine bewältigt 1080p-Videos bei 30 fps (Aufnahme und Wiedergabe), Kameras werden bis zu einer Auflösung von 16 Megapixeln unterstützt.

Leistungsaufnahme

Der MT6750N wird in 28-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt und sollte unter Last eine mittlere Leistungsaufnahme aufweisen. Damit ist der Chip auch für kompakte Smartphones geeignet.

Mediatek MT8735

Der Mediatek MT8735 ist ein 2015 vorgestellter ARM-SoC (System-on-a-Chip) der Mittelklasse, der primär in Smartphones (hauptsächlich Android) zu finden ist. Er wird in 28 Nanometern gefertigt und verfügt über vier CPU-Kerne auf Basis der 64-Bit-fähigen Cortex-A53-Architektur, die mit maximal 1,3 GHz takten. Als Grafikeinheit kommt eine ARM Mali-T720MP2 zum Einsatz. Weiterhin integriert sind unter anderem ein LTE-Modem inkl. CDMA2000 und 5GHz Dual-Band 802.11bgn WiFi. 

Die Leistung liegt im Bereich der älteren MT6735 (jedoch mit bis zu 1.5 GHz getaktet) SoCs im Einstiegsbereich.
