Die ARM Mali-T720 MP4 ist eine integrierte Grafikeinheit der Mittelklasse für Smartphones und Tablets, die unter anderem im Mediatek MT6753 zu finden ist. Neben OpenGL ES 3.1 beherrscht die GPU auch OpenCL 1.1 sowie DirectX 11 (FL 9_3). Je nach Bedarf kann die Mali-T720 von 1 bis 8 Kerne/Cluster skaliert werden.

Die MP4-Variante verfügt über 4 Cluster, die mit bis zu 600 MHz (40,8 GFLOPS) takten. Damit platziert sich die GPU etwas unterhalb einer Adreno 405 oder PowerVR G6200 und kann die meisten Android-Spiele in mittleren bis hohen Auflösungen flüssig darstellen.

In den meisten Fällen wird die GPU in SoCs der 28-Nanometer-Klasse verbaut und weist dort eine mittelhohe Leistungsaufnahme auf. Somit ist der Chip auch für kleinere Tablets und Smartphones geeignet.

Die ARM Mali-T760 MP8 (bzw. Mali-T768) ist eine integrierte Grafikeinheit, die erstmals im März 2015 in Samsungs Smartphone- und Tablet-SoC Exynos 7420 Octa verbaut wurde. Neben OpenGL ES 3.1 beherrscht die GPU auch OpenCL 1.1 sowie DirectX 11. Je nach Bedarf kann die Mali-T760 von 1 bis 16 Kerne/Cluster skaliert werden.

Die von Samsung eingesetzte MP8-Version verfügt über 8 Cluster, die mit bis zu 772 MHz (302 GFLOPS) takten. In Benchmarks liegt die GPU oberhalb der Adreno 420 (Snapdragon 805) und PowerVR GX6450 (Apple A8) und muss sich lediglich Tablet-GPUs wie der GXA6850 (Apple A8X) und Tegra K1 geschlagen geben. Damit gehört die GPU zu den schnellsten ARM-Grafiklösungen Anfang 2015. Auch sehr anspruchsvolle Android-Spiele werden in hohen Auflösungen (Galaxy S6: 2.560 x 1.440 Pixel) flüssig dargestellt.

Trotz der starken Performance ist die Mali-T760 MP8 im Exynos 7420 für den Einsatz in kompakten Smartphones (Galaxy S6) geeignet, was vor allem der hochmodernen 14-Nanometer-Fertigung (Samsung LPE mit FinFETs) zu verdanken ist.

Die ARM Mali-T760 MP6 (bzw. Mali-T766) ist eine integrierte Grafikeinheit, die erstmals im Herbst 2014 in Samsungs Smartphone- und Tablet-SoC Exynos 5433 Octa verbaut wurde. Neben OpenGL ES 3.1 beherrscht die GPU auch OpenCL 1.1 sowie DirectX 11. Je nach Bedarf kann die Mali-T760 von 1 bis 16 Kerne/Cluster skaliert werden.

Die von Samsung vermutlich eingesetzte MP6-Version verfügt über 6 Cluster, die mit bis zu 700 MHz (143 GFLOPS) takten. Ersten Benchmarks zufolge liegt die Performance deutlich über der Adreno 330 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 801) und kann mit der Adreno 420 (Snapdragon 805) und PowerVR GX6450 (Apple A8) konkurrieren. Abgesehen von Nvidias noch stärkerem Tablet-Chip Tegra K1 zählt die GPU damit zu den schnellsten ARM-Grafiklösungen des Jahres 2014. Auch sehr anspruchsvolle Android-Spiele werden in hohen Auflösungen (Galaxy Note 4: 2.560 x 1.440 Pixel) flüssig dargestellt.

Aufgrund der relativ guten Performance fällt auch die Leistungsaufnahme vergleichsweise hoch aus. Trotz 20-Nanometer-Fertigung sind mit der Mali-T760 ausgestattete SoCs wie der Exynos 5433 vor allem in großen High-End-Smartphones oder Tablets zu finden.
