Der AMD Ryzen 7 2800H ist ein Mobilprozessor für Notebooks. Der SoC beinhaltet 4 Zen Kerne (Quad-Core CPU) welche mit 3,3 bis 3,8 GHz takten. Im Vergleich zum Ryzen 7 2700U ist der Basistakt deutlich höher (3,3 GHz versus 2,2 GHz), es wird DDR4-3200 Speicher unterstützt und der TDP ebenfalls (45 Watt versus 15 Watt). Die integrierte Grafikkarte bietet alle 11 CUs im Chip (=704 Shader) und wird AMD Radeon RX Vega 11 Mobile heissen. Die Leistung sollte durch den höheren TDP etwas oberhalb des Ryzen 7 2700U liegen, da die Turbo Taktraten dadurch wahrscheinlich im Schnitt länger gehalten werden können.

Durch den erhöhten Stromverbrauch (TDP konfigurierbar von 35 - 54 Watt), eignet sich der Ryzen 7 2800H nur für große und schwere Notebooks.

Der AMD Ryzen 7 2700U ist ein Mobilprozessor für schlanke Notebooks. Der SoC beinhaltet 4 Zen Kerne (Quad-Core CPU). Der TDP ist konfigurierbar zwischen 12-25 Watt (15 Watt nominell) und daher eignet sich die APU auch für schlanke und leichte Notebooks. Die integrierte Radeon RX Vega 10 bietet 10 CUs (640 Shader) mit bis zu 1300 MHz.

Die Leistung der Zen Kerne ist laut AMD deutlich besser als bei den Kaby-Lake Refresh Prozessoren (wie dem Core i7-8650U). Damit sollte die CPU-Performance für alle Anwendungen ausreichend sein.
