Die Intel UHD Graphics G4 (Lakefield GT1 mit 48 EUs) ist eine Prozessorgrafikkarte, die im Mai 2020 vorgestellt wurde. Sie wird in den Einstiegs-Modellen der Lakefield-Serie verbaut (anfangs im Intel Core i3-L13G4) und bietet 48 EUs (Executing Units - Shader Cluster) und keinen eigenen dedizierten Grafikspeicher. Technisch sollte die GPU vergleichbar mit der in Ice-Lake-CPUs integrierten Iris Plus G4 sein, jedoch bei deutlich geringeren Taktraten.

Diese kann sich auf dem Niveau einer Intel UHD Graphics 630 positionieren, wodurch die G4 wohl eher unterhalb einer UHD Graphics 620 sich einsortieren sollte. Damit sind nur sehr anspruchslose Spiele wie League of Legends flüssig spielbar.

Als besonderes Feature hebt Intel das neue Variable Rate Shading (VRS) der Gen11 Grafik hervor. Damit kann der Spieleentwickler Bereiche definieren die mit weniger Genauigkeit geshaded werden (z.B. weit entfernte Objekte, oder Objekte im Nebel) und somit bei gleicher visueller Qualität deutlich Performance gewinnen. Hier können je nach Szene bis zu 20 - 30% (Unreal Engine bzw Civ6) an Leistung gewonnen werden. Bis jetzt unterstütz VRS lediglich Nvidia mit Turing (GTX 1650 und aufwärts).

Die UHD Graphics G4 wird im modernen 10nm Prozess bei Intel gefertigt und soll mit TSMCs 7nm Prozess mithalten können.

Die Intel Iris Plus Graphics G4 (Ice-Lake mit 48 EUs) ist eine Prozessorgrafikkarte, die im Mai 2019 vorgestellt wurde. Sie wird in den Mid-Range-Modellen der Ice-Lake 15W U-Serie verbaut (und eventuell auch in 25 Watt Modellen) und bietet 48 der 64 möglichen EUs (Executing Units - Shader Cluster) und keinen eigenen dedizierten Grafikspeicher (kein eDRAM wie die Vorgänger Iris Plus 650 z.B.). Die Taktung ist abhängig vom CPU-Modell und variiert nach ersten Informationen im Boost zwischen 1050 und 1100 MHz. Der Basistakt ist mit niedrigen 300 MHz spezifiziert.

Die Leistung sollte durch die 25% geringe Shaderanzahl deutlich unter den Iris Plus Modellen mit 64 EUs liegen. Trotz des fehlenden eDRAM sollte die Leistung etwas oberhalb der alten Iris Plus 655 liegen, da die Gen 11 Architektur zahlreiche Verbesserungen enthält. Bei AMD wäre wahrscheinlich die Radeon RX Vega 8 ein direkter Konkurrent. Bei der Spieleleistung muss man daher schon deutliche Einstriche erwarten und nur anspruchslose Spiele wie Rocket League oder Overwatch sollten flüssig spielbar sein.

Die Iris Plus G4 unterstützt 3 Display-Pipes, wo jede 5K60 Signale ausgeben kann (via DisplayPort 1.4 HBR3 oder HDMI 2.0b) oder wenn zwei zusammengefasst werden auch 8k Signale.

Mittels VESA Adaptive Sync (Freesync) kann die Refreshrate des Displays and die Framerate für eine flüssigere Ausgabe angepasst werden.

Die Iris Plus G4 wird im modernen 10nm Prozess bei Intel gefertigt und soll mit TSMCs 7nm Prozess mithalten können.
