Der Intel Core i3-10100 ist ein Desktop-Prozessor mit vier Kernen auf Basis der Comet Lake S-Architektur. Der Prozessor taktet mit 3,6-4,3 GHz und kann insgesamt bis zu 8 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeiten. Gefertigt wird der Intel Core i3-10100 im verbesserten 14-nm-Prozess (14nm++). Im Vergleich zum älteren i3-9100 (Comet Lake-S) bietet der 10100 einen 100 MHz höheren Turbo-Takt, Multithreading und Support für schnelleren DDR4-2666 Speicher.

Performance

Die Leistung sollte nur leicht oberhalb des Core i3-9100 im Einstiegsbereich für Desktop-CPUs liegen. Dadurch reicht die Leistung für Office und anspruchsloses Gaming.

Grafikeinheit

Beim Intel Core i3-10100 handelt es sich um einen Prozessor mit integrierter Grafikeinheit (Intel UHD Graphics 630). 

Leistungsaufnahme

Intel beziffert die Thermal Design Power (TDP) auf 65 Watt. Somit Bedarf es keiner großen Kühlsysteme, was auch den Einbau in sehr kompakten Gehäusen ermöglicht.

Intel Core i5-10600K

Der Intel Core i5-10600K ist ein sehr schneller Sechs-Kern-Prozessor auf Basis der neuen Comet-Lake-Architektur, die Ende April 2020 bereits angekündigt wurde. Der Prozessor taktet mit 4,1-4,8 GHz und kann dank Hyperthreading bis zu 12 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeiten. Gefertigt wird der Intel Core i5-10600K weiterhin im 14-nm-Prozess. Dank des freien Multiplikators lässt sich der Prozessor vergleichsweise einfach übertakten. Voraussetzung hierfür ist jedoch ein Mainboard mit Z490 Chipsatz.

Performance

Im Vergleich zum Intel Core i5-9600K bietet der Core i5-10600K nun endlich auch Hyper-Threading, was sonst nur dem Topmodellen vorbehalten war. Damit steigt die Zahl der logischen Prozessoren auf 12, was im Test mit einem ordentlichen Leistungsplus bei den Multi-Thread-Aufgaben belohnt wurde. Auch die Single-Core-Performance konnte dank der höheren Taktraten gesteigert werden. Beim Core i5 wird auf den TVB (Thermal Velocity Boost) verzichtet, was im Umkehrschluss bedeutet, dass der Boost mit 4,8 GHz etwas geringer ausfällt. Bei Belastung aller Kerne sind aber immerhin noch 4,5 GHz möglich. Aufgrund der sehr hohen Single-Thread-Leistung ist der Intel Core i5-10600K für Videospiele bestens geeignet.

Grafikeinheit

Wie schon zuvor bietet auch der Intel Core i5-10600K mit der Intel UHD Graphics 630 eine iGPU, welche sich aber aufgrund der geringen Leistung nicht für aufwendige Spiele eignet. Als Low-End-Lösung können aktuelle Videospiele, wenn überhaupt, lediglich in verminderter Detailstufe flüssig wiedergegeben werden. 

Leistungsaufnahme

Die TDP wurde von 95 Watt (i5-9600K) auf nun 125 Watt erhöht. Intels Turbo-Boost-Technology 2.0 erlaubt dem Prozessor unter bestimmten Bedingungen noch mehr Leistungsaufnahme. Beim Intel Core i5-10600K sind dies beim PL2 (Power-Limit) 182 Watt, welche für maximal 56 Sekunden (Tau) anliegen dürfen. Aufgrund der hohen Leistungsaufnahme sollte der Prozessor mit einem leistungsstarken Kühler betrieben werden.
