Der Intel Core i5-12600H ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet alle 4 der 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und alle 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,7 bis 4,5 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 2 - 3,3 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ). Im Vergleich zum 12650H bietet der 12600H weniger P-Kerne aber mehr E-Kerne und geringere Taktraten. Dafür ist die iGPU stärker und auch vPro "Enterprise" wird unterstützt.

Performance

Durch die 12 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung oberhalb der alten Tiger-Lake-8-Kerner (bei vergleichbaren Takt, also deutlich schneller als der i5-11500H 6-Kerner mit bis zu 4,6 GHz) liegen. Bei der Einzelkernperformance dürfte der 12600H auch noch schneller sein, dank der neuen Architektur.

Grafikeinheit

Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 12600H sind nur 80 der 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,4 GHz.

Features

Wie auch Tiger Lake, hat auch Alder-Lake-P WiFi 6E und Thunderbolt 4 (4x) teilintegriert. Der integrierte Speicherkontroller unterstützt DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 und LPDDR4x-4267. Der integrierte Gaussian and Neural Accelerator (GNA) ist nun in Version 3.0 verbaut. Die Media Engine Quick Sync 8 ist die selbe wie in Rocket Lake und unterstützt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 Decode, JPEG, VP8 Decode, VP9, HEVC und AV1 Decode. Der Chip unterstützt nur PCIe 4.0 (x8 for GPU und zwei x4 für SSDs).

Leistungsaufnahme

Der Intel Core i5-12600H ist mit 45 Watt TDP angegeben (95W PL2). Bei geringer Last, sollte der Stromverbrauch dank der sparsamen Gracemont Kerne sehr gut sein. Gefertigt wird der i5-12600H im modernen Intel 7 Prozess (10 nm).

Intel Core i7-1270P

Der Intel Core i7-1270P ist eine High-End-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet 4 der 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und alle 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 2,2 bis 4,8 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,6 - 3,5 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ). Im Vergleich zum Core i5-12600H, bietet der i7-1270P etwas höhere Turbo-Taktraten, aber einen geringeren TDP (28 versus 45W) und auch geringer Basistaktraten. Beide CPUs unterstützten vPro "Enterprise".

Performance

Durch die 12 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten 28 - 35 Watt 4-Kerner der Tiger Lake Serie liegen. Im Vergleich zu der H-Serie wird bei längerer Last aber der TDP die Leistung limitieren. Bei der Einzelkernperformance sollte der i7-1270P vergleichbar zum Topmodell dem i7-1280P sein und die alten Tiger Lake dank neuer Architektur bei vergleichbaren Takt deutlich abhängen.

Grafikeinheit

Wie auch der Vorgänger, integriert Intel in Alder Lake eine Intel Xe basierende Grafikeinheit. Beim 1270P sind alle 96 EUs aktiviert und takten mit bis zu 1,4 GHz.

Der Intel Core i5-1240P ist eine Mid-Range Notebook-CPU auf Basis der neuen Alder-Lake-Architektur, die im Januar 2022 vorgestellt wurde. Die CPU basiert auf den Alder Lake-P Chip (für H und P-Serie) und bietet 4 der 6 Performance Kerne (P-Kerne, Golden Cove Architektur) und alle 8 Effizienzkerne (E-Kerne, Gracemont Architektur). Die P-Kerne unterstützten Hyperthreading (daher gemeinsam 16 Threads) und takten von 1,7 bis 4,4 GHz. Die E-Kerne takten von 1,2 - 3,3 GHz und sollen eine vergleichbare Performance wie alte Skylake Kerne bieten (z.B. i7-6300HQ). Im Vergleich zum Core i5-1250P, bietet der i5-1240P eine geringer getaktete iGPU (-100 MHz) und nur "Essentials" vPro Management Features.

Performance

Durch die 12 Kerne sollte die Multithread-Leistung deutlich oberhalb der alten 28 Watt 4-Kerner der Tiger Lake Serie liegen (wie z.B. dem i5-1145G7). Im Vergleich zu der H-Serie wird bei längerer Last aber der TDP die Leistung limitieren. Bei der Einzelkernperformance sollte der i5-1240P dank der neuen Architektur auch ähnlich schnelle Tiger Lake CPUs abhängen können.
