Das Apple S9 SiP (System in a Package) ist ein 64-Bit-Prozessor mit zwei Kernen (Sawtooth Dual-Core) der in der Apple Watch Series 9 eingesetzt wird. Die beiden CPU-Kerne basieren auf die Architektur im Apple A15 SoC. Weiters beinhaltet der Chip erstmals eine Neural Engine (mit 4 Kernen) für AI Tasks.

Der S9 bietet 64 GB internen Speicher, L1 GPS, GNSS, Galileo und BaeiDou, WLAN 4 (802.11n), Bluetooth 5.3), und LTE / UMTS (optional). Ebenso ist der Ultrabreitband-Chip Apple U1 integriert.

Der Chip wird im modernen 4nm Prozess bei TSMC (N4P) hergestellt.

Rockchip RK3168

Der Rockchip RK3168 ist ein günstiger ARM-SoC, der in erster Linie für Smartphones konzipiert wurde. Er bietet zwei ARM Cortex-A9 CPU-Kerne mit NEON-Erweiterung, eine PowerVR SGX 540 Grafikkarte (400 MHz) und einen Speichercontroller für (LP-)DDR2/DDR3. Die Performance sollte mit anderen, ähnlich getakteten Cortex-A9-SoCs wie dem Samsung Exynos 4210 vergleichbar sein. Dank fortschrittlicher 28-Nanometer-Fertigung dürfte der RK3168 aber deutlich weniger Energie benötigen und somit längere Akkulaufzeiten ermöglichen.
