Kabellose Gaming-Headsets mit aktiver Geräuschunterdrückung sind in der Regel teuer. Das neue Turtle Beach Stealth Pro II bildet keine Ausnahme, allerdings hat der Hersteller an mehreren Stellen sinnvoll nachgebessert. Neben größeren 60-mm-Treibern und kräftigeren, austauschbaren Akkus lässt sich nun zwischen bis zu 4 Quellen wechseln.
Das Turtle-Beach-Headset kann ab sofort vorbestellt werden und kommt am 17. Mai für 350 Euro auf den Markt. Ein Modell unterstützt PC, PlayStation und Xbox, während die andere Variante die kabellose Verbindung auf PC, PS4 und PS5 beschränkt.
Design des Stealth Pro II
Der Vorgänger ist gut verarbeitet, hat aber auch Kritik für sein Gewicht von mehr als 400 Gramm und den straffen Sitz auf sich gezogen. Das Unternehmen nennt das Gewicht des Stealth Pro II bislang nicht, es gibt aber Hoffnung auf einen höheren Tragekomfort. Dafür setzt Turtle Beach auf ein Kopfband mit Mesh-Aufhängung, das den Druck auf den Kopf reduzieren und die Atmungsaktivität verbessern soll.
In den Ohrpolstern aus Memory-Schaum sitzen 60-mm-Eclipse-Dual-Treiber. Mit Dolby Atmos als optionalem 3D-Audioformat soll der Klang in 24 Bit und 96kHz idealerweise ein ausgewogenes Verhältnis aus tiefen, mittleren und hohen Frequenzen bieten. Die auffälligeren Fortschritte könnte das kabellose ANC-Gaming-Headset aber bei der Konnektivität gemacht haben.
Wie schon das Stealth Pro wird auch sein Nachfolger mit einem USB-Dongle und einem puckförmigen Transmitter ausgeliefert. Allerdings besitzt das Gerät eine Taste, mit der sich zwischen 4 gekoppelten Quellen wechseln lässt. Eine gleichzeitige Audioübertragung per 2,4GHz und Bluetooth ist möglich. Wer mehrere Konsolen besitzt, muss allerdings zusätzliche Adapter kaufen.
Der Puck kann einen von zwei Akkus mit jeweils 40 Stunden Laufzeit aufladen, wodurch die Ausfallzeit gering bleibt. Das ist ein deutlicher Sprung gegenüber den insgesamt 24 Stunden Laufzeit des Vorgängers.
Turtle-Beach-Headset hat einen bekannten Konkurrenten
Die ANC-Funktionen des Stealth Pro II könnten es in eine Klasse mit den besten kabellosen Gaming-Headsets wie dem SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro einordnen. Vier interne Mikrofone überwachen die Umgebung auf störende Geräusche. Auch das externe, unidirektionale 9-mm-Schwebemikrofon nutzt KI, um unerwünschte Nebengeräusche herauszufiltern.
Letztlich wird sich zeigen, ob sich der hohe Preis des neuesten Turtle-Beach-Headsets lohnt. Wir werden einen ausführlichen Test veröffentlichen, bei dem Klangqualität und Tragekomfort im Mittelpunkt stehen werden.
