If we had a pound for every time a manufacturer tried to spice up its range by spraying a laptop lid red, we'd have about £73. Actually, we'd have £74 now that Samsung's released the R730. The Samsung R730 is a pretty decent budget laptop. It's not particularly fast or well equipped, but it's an attractive and dependable day-to-day machine that'll serve you well both for business and pleasure purposes

Samsung generally prefers to stick to the mainstream segment of the laptop market and the R730-JA02UK we're looking at today is a good example. It's a 17.3in desktop replacement laptop that retails for around £480, making the Samsung R730 a potential option for anyone who wants a large, functional machine at a reasonable price. There's nothing particularly outstanding about the Samsung R730, but it's a solid, well-made machine that offers good value. Were it £30 or so cheaper it would score higher, but nonetheless it's a decent entry-level option.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500M: Im GL40 oder GS40 Chipsatz (Montevina Plattform) integrierte shared Memory Grafikkarte von Intel. Technisch eine geringer getaktete GMA 4500MHD (400 MHz versus 533) und durch den geringeren Takt auch kein BlueRay Logo Support.

Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen.  Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.
