It has Nvidia’s latest notebook oriented video card and a Core i7 processor, as well as 12 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage, so we can easily say that this is a very solid configuration for gaming, at least for the next 12 to 18 months.

The turbo fan. The turbo fan is designed to drastically increase fan speed when the laptop overheats. While this is a great quality to the laptop, it has not been tweaked to perfection. The turbo fan does not always kick in when the laptop overheats, and there is no easy way for the user to manually turn on the turbo fan.

MSI ist besonders als Hersteller von Hauptplatinen und Grafikkarten für PCs bekannt, bietet darüber hinaus Computerzubehör, Komplettsysteme und Notebooks an. Das Unternehmen beschäftigt weltweit etwa 16.900 Mitarbeiter und besitzt Werke in China und Taiwan. Der Markenname Microstar gehört in Deutschland allerdings der Firma Medion. Der Umsatz belief sich im Jahr 2005 auf ca. 1,52 Mrd. €. Als Notebook-Hersteller ist MSI erst seit 2005 einem breiteren Publikum bekannt und vermarktet seine Mobilcomputer weltweit, allerdings mit eher bescheidenen Marktanteilen.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 560M: Nachfolger der GeForce GTX 460M basierend auf einen voll ausgebauten GF116. Die Leistung liegt aufgrund der höheren Taktung etwas oberhalb der GTX 460M, durch die Chipverbesserungen dürfte der Stromverbrauch jedoch nicht steigen.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570M: GF114 basierende mobile High-End Karte mit Superskalarer Architektur. Bietet im Vergleich zur GTX 470M nicht nur höhere Taktraten sondern auch mehr Shader.

15.6: 15 Zoll Display-Varianten sind der Standard und werden für fast die Hälfte aller Notebooks verwendet. Notebook-Displays im 15 Zoll-Format sind der Standard schlechthin. 15.4 Zoll ist meist die genaue Größeneinheit für 16:10 Notebooks, während 15.6 Zoll ein Indiz für das Format 16:9 sind. 85%: Diese Bewertung muss man eigentlich als durchschnittlich ansehen, denn es gibt etwa ebenso viele Notebooks mit besseren Beurteilungen wie Schlechteren. Die Verbalbeurteilungen klingen aber oft besser als sie wirklich sind, denn richtig gelästert wird über Notebooks eher selten. Obwohl dieser Bereich offiziell meist einem "Befriedigen" entspricht, passt oft eher "mäßiger Durchschnitt".
