90% Redmagic Astra 2 im Test: starkes Gaming-Tablet mit 185-Hz-OLED & Flüssigkühlung
Quelle: Heise

82% RedMagic Astra 2 Review: The Best Android Gaming Tablet You Can Buy, Again
Quelle: CNet EN→DE
The first Astra tablet from RedMagic packed some of the best mobile hardware you could find at the time. With the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Elite Plus processor, fast memory and storage and a gorgeous 9-inch 165Hz OLED display, it truly established itself as the gaming tablet to beat last year. We even awarded it an Editors’ Choice along with the similarly sized Legion Tab Gen 3 from Lenovo.

A liquid-cooled gaming monster!
Quelle: GSM Choice EN→DE
The RedMagic Astra 2 is definitely one of the most interesting gaming tablets I've tested recently. Although optimized for gamers, this device is also perfect for everyday home use. Its relatively small size (9.06 inches) makes it exceptionally handy for a tablet. In my tests, this model often ended up in a cargo pocket or a larger sweatshirt pocket, which is a testament to its compact size.

RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro 2026 Review: Portable 9-Inch Tablet for Steam Games
Quelle: Igeekphone EN→DE
After thoroughly testing the RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro, I have to admit my initial skepticism was unfounded. I didn’t expect much from Steam Direct Connect on a 9-inch tablet, assuming it would be a compromise. But it turned out to be far more usable than I could have imagined. The Steam Direct Connect is the standout feature. The main caveat is that the Steam Direct Connect game compatibility list is still growing.

80% The RedMagic Astra 2 is the world's first liquid-cooled tablet — and the fastest Android tablet I've ever tested
Quelle: Techradar EN→DE
The RedMagic Astra 2 is just about the fastest Android tablet in the game, with unmatched sustained performance and a similarly fluid OLED display. It’s not the classiest customer on the market, and it’s a shame to see it receive such a hefty price bump over its predecessor. For dedicated gamers looking for a tablet, however, it’s a uniquely equipped proposition.

80% RedMagic Astra 2 Review: A Gaming Tablet With Mainstream Appeal
Quelle: PC Mag EN→DE
The RedMagic Astra 2 is a lucky gaming tablet. It doesn't have too much competition at the moment, especially in the US, where few small gaming tablets are in the zeitgeist. It has all the goods: a sharp display, a long-lasting battery, and two USB-C ports for charging and connecting peripherals. It stands out as a sure pick if you're desperate for a powerful tablet under 10 inches.

The Coolest Gaming Tablet I've ever held - (Not Clickbait)

The most powerful compact Android gaming tablet has finally arrived. Meet the REDMAGIC Astra 2: a 9-inch gaming powerhouse built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, complete with a 185Hz OLED display, advanced AquaCore Cooling 2.0, and an 8,300mAh battery. This thing is basically a gaming PC that fits in your backpack.

RedMagic Gaming Tablet 5 Pro Review: A 9-Inch Tablet That Plays Your Steam Library
Running Watch Dogs at 50+ fps, indie games at a perfect 60fps while sipping just 3W of power—it genuinely feels like a PC gaming experience you can take anywhere. Some games designed for precise keyboard/mouse control don’t translate perfectly to touch input—for those, you’ll definitely want to connect peripherals.

REDMAGIC Astra 2 Review | BIG Upgrades To The Best Gaming Tablet
Quelle: Tech Spurt
Reviewing the REDMAGIC Astra 2, the best gaming tablet for 2026 with significant upgrades vs the original tab. I've been testing the REDMAGIC Astra 2 for a couple of weeks with Wuthering Waves and Call of Duty Mobile and here's my final verdict! Plus a run-down of how it compares vs the first tablet. You've got all of the usual updates you'd expect, such as a performance boost. However, the REDMAGIC Astra 2 also sports an improved cooling system. Gone is the old fan, replaced with a liquid cooling setup similar to those gamer phones. How much difference does this actually make?

The RedMagic Astra 2 is the best Android tablet for gaming you’ll find on the market right now, offering blisteringly fast performance that’s sustainable over long periods of play, a host of gaming-specific software features and niceties like dual USB-C ports and rapid 75W charging – but it’s more than that.

90% I used the Redmagic Astra 2: the best gaming tablet just got even better
Quelle: Android Central EN→DE
Redmagic didn't change much with the Astra 2, and the tablet retains the same great 9.06-inch OLED panel as last year. The size of the tablet is just right, and that makes it easy to use anywhere. The internals are the best you can get on any tablet, the dedicated liquid cooling system ensures the tablet doesn't overheat even with sustained gaming, and the battery lasts all day.

92% RedMagic Astra 2 review
Quelle: GSM Arena EN→DE
The RedMagic Astra 2 launches at €699 for the 12GB/256GB version and €799 for the 16GB/512GB model. Those are some console-level prices for sure, but you are getting a premium device for gaming on the go. The tablet has just the right size of display for portability, and it's an impressive-looking piece of kit. Then there is the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip - one of the most powerful Android platforms right now.

REDMAGIC Astra 2 Gaming Tablet review: 9" of OLED goodness with massive 8,300mAh battery
Quelle: Neowin EN→DE
As with last year's version, I found the display to be quite excellent but that is also due to the fact that it's the same exact display that was used in the 2025 model. I did not have too much trouble viewing the screen under indirect sunlight, although it was not quite as bright as my Galaxy S26 Ultra, but that makes sense considering the S26's display is rated for 2600 nits (peak) which is significantly more than the Astra 2 Gaming Tablet's 1,100 (hbm) 1,600 (peak) screen.

75% RedMagic Astra 2 Review: The best Android gaming handheld
Quelle: Phone Arena EN→DE
The RedMagic Astra 2 is a fantastic tablet for gaming and anything else that may benefit from a more compact form factor. In a world crowded with gigantic tablets, the Astra 2’s portability is a breath of fresh air. The saddest part in this story is that RedMagic has had to increase prices considerably to have the Astra 2 make sense from a business perspective.

REDMAGIC Astra 2 Review: The Gaming Tablet That Finally Keeps Its Cool
Quelle: Yanko Design EN→DE
What makes the REDMAGIC Astra 2 interesting as a design object isn’t any single specification but how well the decisions relate to each other. There’s a coherence here that suggests these components were conceived together, not independently justified and bolted on. The cooling strip is worth one final note, particularly for design-minded readers. Most consumer electronics go to considerable effort to hide their internal complexity behind smooth, opaque surfaces.
