The RedMagic 11S Pro remains the only gaming-oriented, flagship-level Android phone. It has a handful of unique features under the Game Space suite and the only shoulder triggers on the market. The cooling system is gimmicky, adding weight to an already bulky phone, but at least it looks cool. The phone also does well in our battery, display and charging tests, albeit not stellar. That's where more mainstream flagship alternatives excel, even at RedMagic 11S Pro's current price point. Don't get us wrong, the 11S Pro offers a great value proposition as it's the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5-powered phone at launch. It's just that you can find similarly priced phones with the same hardware, which are better at endurance, charging and have more feature-rich screens.

The RedMagic 11S Pro is an outstanding high-end smartphone, if you're into gaming. I love its unique, tech-inspired aesthetic, the spacious display and the extreme performance it delivers. When you factor in the trigger buttons and all the other exclusive gaming features, it's very hard to beat, considering there's almost no competition left in this segment. Sure, not everyone needs the gaming features, but everyone will appreciate the 7500 mAh battery.

The RedMagic 11S Pro is a further optimised version of the already great RedMagic 11 Pro with immense, flagship-grade performance, solid battery life, and a bright, detailed and zippy screen. It is a fair bit dearer than its predecessors at £709/$849, though, and the dual 50MP camera array isn’t up to snuff for a phone at this price. The normal RedMagic 11 Pro has a lot of the same fundamentals as this 11S Pro, and gives you a similar result for a little bit less in terms of money – it’s only the real power users who will benefit from the extra performance by its overclocked SoC. The new Honor 600 Pro is a more rounded choice at a little bit of a higher price tag, with a much stronger camera system, similarly solid battery life and less polarising looks, although it doesn’t have as much grunt under the hood. Reviewing the RedMagic 11s Pro, the most powerful gaming phone of 2026, powered by Qualcomm's SnapDragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Edition. This is the best (and pretty much only) gamer smartphone right now, although the RedMagic 11s Pro's overclocked chipset is almost the only upgrade vs the 11. I've been testing this absolute unit for a few weeks now so here's my review, with thoughts on the battery life, gaming performance and more. Please do subscribe for more on the latest and greatest tech! As well as the best-in-class battery life, the main draw of this beefy smartphone is that performance. Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Leading Edition replaces the original platform, to power through the likes of Wuthering Waves, Genshin Impact and other favourites. Plus the RedMagic 11s Pro sports that same liquid cooling as the original Red Magic 11 Pro - plus some liquid metal surround for the processor. Other specs remain mostly the same, from the battery capacity to the full-view display. So if you already have the old gen, no need to upgrade in 2026.
