The EVO View 4G is a solid tablet, that's bolstered by its excellent pen input, but somewhat hampered by its lack of Google's tablet-specific OS. HTC's Sense UI helps, but it's not a replacement for true tablet Android, which is Honeycomb. Overall, the View/Flyer is neither the best tablet nor even the best Android tablet your money can buy, but if handwriting, drawing and doodling are things that appeal to you, and the 7-inch screen size is right, it might be just the tablet for you. Similarly, if 4G coverage is something you must have, then you must have the EVO View 4G over the Flyer. If you want the best tablet you can buy, the Apple iPad 2 (4.5 stars, $499) still can't be beat. But if it's Android you're after, the Asus Eee Pad Transformer ($399, 3.5 stars) has enough unique features, like a laptop-like docking system, to send it to the head of the Honeycomb class—for now.

3D Spiele sind auf diesen Vertretern nur in Ausnahmen spielbar, grundsätzlich sind die Grafikkarten hierfür jedoch nicht geeignet. Office Programme und Internet surfen dürfte jedoch ohne Problem laufen.

7.0": Das ist eines der kleinsten Formate, das für Netbooks, Subnotebooks oder UMPC verwendet wurde. Es gibt nur fast keine Modelle mit diesem Format. Langes Arbeiten ist hier unpraktisch, dieser winzige Display ist für zwischendurch unterwegs gedacht. Der Vorteil von Netbooks/Subnotebooks liegt darin, dass das ganze Gerät klein dimensioniert sein kann und daher leicht tragbar ist. Das winzige Display hat noch den Vorteil wenig Strom zu benötigen, was die Akkulaufzeit und damit die Mobilität weiter verbessert. Der Nachteil ist, dass das Lesen von Texten sehr anstrengend für die Augen ist. Hohe Auflösungen sind fast nicht nutzbar.

0.2 kg: Dieses Subnotebook/Netbook/UMPC, sofern man es als solches überhaupt bezeichnen kann, gehört zu den leichtesten Notebooks überhaupt und kann klarerweise hervorragend getragen werden. Es gibt kaum Sub-Notebooks, aber ein paar Netbooks in dieser extremen Gewichtsklasse. 7-9 Zoll Displays passen in diesen Gewichtsbereich.

HTC: Taiwanesischer Hersteller, hauptsächlich bekannt durch Smartphones, produziert aber auch Tablet Computer für den globalen Markt.

70%: Diese Bewertung ist schlecht. Die meisten Notebooks werden besser beurteilt. Als Kaufempfehlung darf man das nicht sehen. Auch wenn Verbalbewertungen in diesem Bereich gar nicht so schlecht klingen ("genügend" oder "befriedigend"), meist sind es Euphemismen, die eine Klassifikation als unterdurchschnittliches Notebook verschleiern.
