Die 14-Zoll-Klasse erweist sich als guter Kompromiss aus Portabilität und Bildschirmfläche – kein Wunder also, dass wir zuletzt viele Geräte dieser Klasse im Test hatten.

EN→DEThe Acer Swift 14 is all over AI the place. It has powerful chip options, exceptional battery life, and loads of ports for such a portable laptop. The keyboard and trackpad are solid, which is not always a given at any price. But the screen and webcam are mediocre, and the speakers are outright terrible. Battery life, performance, and ports are important, and it makes sense to prioritize those, even if it means cutting costs elsewhere. Those are the kinds of tough tradeoffs that budget laptops have to make. Unfortunately, the Swift 14 AI is not a budget laptop.

EN→DEAlthough I’ve spent most of this review comparing the Intel Lunar Lake and Qualcomm Snapdragon versions of the Acer Swift 14, the comparison is perhaps moot since the Snapdragon machine can’t be had with an OLED display and that is surely one of the main selling points of this new model. That makes the latest Acer Swift 14 AI great value, and while raw performance can’t match the Meteor Lake model, the balance between performance and battery life makes it a more fully rounded alternative. The absence of any performance issues related to application emulation makes it a safer bet than the Qualcomm model. It’s great news for the consumer that you can now choose between the three platforms currently on offer in the Acer Swift 14 AI lineup. All three make a strong case for themselves, but the new Lunar Lake OLED model is the best, albeit by a small margin.

This is the Acer Swift 14 AI, a thin and light laptop powered by the new Intel Core Ultra 7 258V processor. One of the things that really stands out is the impressive battery life. In this video, we're going to take a closer look to help you figure out if it's the right laptop for your needs.

EN→DEThe Acer Swift 14 AI with Intel Lunar Lake may have its perks, including the dazzling 14.5-inch OLED display and punch-up in graphics, but its benefits can’t outweigh what the Swift 14 AI with Snapdragon X Plus has in store. It’s a pricier model that can’t compete in performance in some areas that count. Unless you want the best display the Swift lineup has to offer (even though the Snapdragon model’s display is still great) and better graphics, there’s not too much point in picking up the Intel model. What’s more, there are other excellent notebooks worth your attention, including the M3 Macbook Air. If you’re looking for a Windows laptop that shows off Snapdragon X power, look no further than the Dell XPS 13 (2024).

EN→DEThe Swift 14 AI is a well-built and attractive laptop with good enough performance and a reasonable — but not exceptional — price. Its battery life is the standout feature, with efficiency that’s among the best Windows laptops we’ve tested. However, it owes that battery life at least partially to the IPS display. It’s not a bad screen, but it lacks the sharpness and contrast of modern OLED displays. That’s the one tradeoff to consider, but if battery life is your main concern, the Acer Swift 14 AI is a solid option.

EN→DEAnyone looking to upgrade from a laptop that’s three or more years old will get the most out of everything the Acer Swift 14 AI offers. From battery life to performance across productivity apps and even some gaming, it would be a massive upgrade for a reasonable starting price of $1,199. You probably won’t even notice the same sluggishness I did when I had a bunch of browser tabs and apps open at the same time. But if heavy multitasking is your game, I still feel compelled to steer you away from this laptop simply because the Snapdragon Swift AI 14 is a much better laptop for that kind of use — and its battery lasts nearly two more hours on a full charge. More than that, though, the display offers a higher resolution and refresh rate. It’s a tad heavier and thicker, but barely.

EN→DEThe Acer Swift 14 AI is a competent laptop that makes good use of Intel’s Core Ultra 7 258V to deliver strong performance and battery life at a mid-range price. It’s not the most attractive laptop, and shoppers who care about entertainment (whether that’s streaming Netflix or playing Fortnite) will be turned off by the mediocre display. Still, the Swift 14 AI is a good choice for home office work, travel, and less demanding content creation workflows.

EN→DEThe Acer Swift 14 AI has a desirable array of features that make it an excellent ultraportable especially for mobile workers who prize performance, battery life and who need to make frequent video calls thanks to its PurifiedVoice 2.0 and PurifiedView 2.0 tech for its speakers and webcam though its marque feature, Copilot+ still needs more time and updates to achieve its full potential.

EN→DESo, at the end of the day, if you want the latest and greatest from Intel – and I do mean great because of its efficiency and performance – then consider getting the Acer Swift 14 AI. For the price of just RM4,999, it’s a great laptop for that price.

EN→DEAt RM4,999, the Intel variant of Acer Swift 14 AI (SF14-51) is excellent on battery, great in daily work, decent overall, but anything that demands lots of compute will not be this laptop’s forte. Still, it’s more than serviceable if all you’re looking for is something that gets the job done, and you won’t have to worry about the battery holding you back while you’re on the go.
