Das Portege Z40L-N ist einige hundert Gramm leichter als viele bekannte 14-Zoll-Subnotebooks und bietet dennoch die neuesten Intel-Lunar-Lake-Prozessoren und eine relativ einfache Wartungsmöglichkeit.

EN→DEDynabooks are usually fairly reliable, in that you know exactly what you should expect from them – a sturdy build quality, excellent connectivity options, and security features. These are widely considered to be solid enterprise-grade machines for a reason, but the Portégé Z40L-N left us feeling a little underwhelmed. While the lick of paint is fantastic, we wanted to see more innovation on the design front and to see the manufacturer make some bolder choices to match the of the shell. Several disappointing notes included the lack of sharpness in the display as well as generally sluggish performances in benchmarking. While the scores were low, it's certainly powerful enough for day-to-day computing and basic workloads – including typing, spreadsheets, and basic graphics work. What really matters is its long battery life, however.

Intel Arc 140V: Schnelle integrierte Grafikkarte, die in den schnelleren Intel Lunar Lake Prozessoren zum Einsatz kommt. Die 140V verfügt über 8 Xe²-Architekturkerne (Battlemage), die mit bis zu 2.050 MHz laufen, und 8 Raytracing-Einheiten. Sie ist DirectX 12 Ultimate-fähig und unterstützt alle modernen Video-Codecs.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
