While low-priced products are appealing in today’s inflationary environment, the Vivobook Go 15 falls short in too many areas to provide good value. Its dismal screen and subpar keyboard compromise its usability, while its performance is hindered by an outdated CPU and non-upgradeable 8GB of memory. Additionally, none of its other features stand out. Unless you specifically need Windows, opting for a Chromebook, particularly a Chromebook Plus, would offer better value for the same or a lower price. On the Windows side, nearly any of our budget laptop picks would also be a more viable choice.

The Vivobook Go 15 series has a starting price of P31,995, while the Vivobook Go 15 OLED (E1504F) is priced at P42,995—reasonably priced for a notebook that offers OLED and fast charging. These have the Two Years International Warranty and Platinum Protection Warranty. The device’s design and performance are satisfactory for a wide range of everyday use that includes web browsing, using productivity apps, collaborating on projects, connecting on social media, video calling, and watching videos. Before we sum up what is right and wrong with this notebook, we have to consider its price tag. It is the only reason we could forgive its flexy, bendy body made entirely out of plastic. Also, we can forgive the soldered memory, but we believe the reason behind it is the processor. That’s because most of the laptops with this family of CPUs actually come with the same soldered LPDDR5 5500MHz RAM. What’s good about it is that it is fast, and you can find options with 4, 8, or 16GB. ASUS Vivobook Go 15 (E1504F)’s IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a very good contrast ratio. Thankfully, its backlight doesn’t use PWM for brightness adjustment. On the other hand, the panel only covers 57% of the sRGB gamut. Our unit is equipped with the smaller 42Wh battery. Regardless, it lasted for 8 hours and 30 minutes of Web browsing, or more than 9 hours of video playback. On top of that, the laptop is pretty fast for daily use, which is great. Despite the flimsy chassis, the keyboard is rather comfortable to use.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
