Dass sich die Netbooks alle stark ähnlich sind, zeigt uns der Netbook-Vergleich. So gut wie jedes der Mini Notebooks ist mit einem Intel Atom N270 Prozessor bestückt und ohne Grafikkarte ausgestattet. Eines dieser Standard Netbooks ist das Compaq Mini 110c. Die Leistung des 10,1-Zollers ist Standardgemäß. Office Arbeiten sind kein Problem, aber mit rechenintensiven Aufgaben ist der kleine PC schnell überfordert.

The HP Mini 5101 does a stand-up job, but neither it nor the Mini 110 can match the value that the Toshiba NB205-310 offers.

The Compaq Mini 110c is essentially a less expensive version of the older HP Mini netbooks with the added wireless wide area networking capabilities added in. This means that the system retains many of the same great features of the HP such as the great keyboard and anti-glare screen great for outdoor use. It also comes with some of the awkwardness as well including short battery life and side positioned trackpad buttons. Still, a great low cost option for those looking for a WWAN capable netbook.

HP has taken a circuitous route in the netbook market. It started out with its business focussed HP 2133 Mini-Note PC, which while regarded as one of the best looking and best made netbooks around, was short on power and longevity. Sometime later it released the HP Compaq Mini 700 and with it eschewed the conventions laid down by other manufacturers, opting for a less is more approach and a classy look and feel. With the HP Compaq Mini 110c, HP appears to have relented to market pressure with a more conventional proposition. HP has produced a good netbook in the Compaq Mini 110c, but not a great deal more than that. While its keyboard is among the best around and it's reasonably priced, it doesn't offer anything a dozen other netbooks don't and there are alternatives that offer better battery life for similar money.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 950: Integrierter (onboard) Grafikchip auf Mobile Intel 945GM/C/Z/ME/ML Chipsätzen und Nachfolger des GMA 900. Kein Hardware T&L (für manche Spiele benötigt). Für Spiele kaum geeignet.

3D Spiele sind auf diesen Vertretern nur in Ausnahmen spielbar, grundsätzlich sind die Grafiklösungen hierfür jedoch nicht geeignet. Office Programme und Internet surfen dürfte jedoch ohne Problem möglich sein.

Intel Atom: Die Intel Atom Serie besteht aus 64-Bit Mikroprozessoren für günstige und stromsparende Notebooks, MIDs oder UMPC. Besonderheit der Architektur, ist das die Befehle nicht wie derzeit üblich (z. B. Intel Core Architekture oder AMD Turion) "out of Order"  sondern  "in  Order"  ausgeführt  werden. Dadurch verliert man zwar einiges an Performance, jedoch spart dies Transistoren und daher Kosten und dadurch auch etwas Strom.

N270: Stromsparende und billige CPU mit schwacher Leistung und geringem Stromverbrauch.
