Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga G7 jetzt bei Amazon Das neueste Mitglied der Lenovo ThinkPad Serie ist kein anderes als das Lenovo ThinkPad x1 yoga gen 7. Schon der Name verrät, dass es sich bei diesem Modell um ein Lenovo ThinkPad und ein Lenovo Yoga handelt, wobei das Design und die robuste Bauweise eher zu Ersterem passen. Es hat zwar das gleiche 360-Grad-Scharnier wie die Lenovo Yoga 2-in-1-Modelle, aber die moderne, dünne und leichte Bauweise in einem dunklen Grau macht mehr Spaß als das eher traditionelle ThinkPad-Schwarz. Die Dichte und die robuste Haptik des Aluminiumgehäuses in Kombination mit der tiefen Tastatur, dem fortschrittlichen Trackpad und der berühmten roten Gumminoppe schreien jedoch geradezu nach ThinkPad. Was die Anschlussmöglichkeiten angeht, so verfügt die linke Seite des Geräts über zwei Thunderbolt-4-USB-C-Anschlüsse, einen einzelnen USB-A-Anschluss und HDMI 2.0b. Die rechte Seite hingegen beherbergt einen 3,5-mm-Klinkenanschluss und einen weiteren USB-A-Anschluss. Was die Tastatur betrifft, so übertrifft das ThinkPad X1 Yoga nicht unbedingt billigere Thin-and-Lights mit ähnlichen Spezifikationen, wenn es um die Produktivitätsleistung geht, aber es ist auf einem höheren Niveau, wenn es um die Eingabe geht, und das ist für den täglichen Gebrauch, wie das Schreiben von Artikeln, das Surfen im Internet oder das schnelle Markieren eines Bildes, von großem Vorteil. Insgesamt ist die Chiclet-Tastatur des 2-in-1 vorbildlich und hat die extreme Menge an Schreibarbeiten problemlos bewältigt. Was die Leistung betrifft, so ist dieses Modell mit dem Intel Core i7-1260P vPro Prozessor ausgestattet. Was das Display angeht, so hat das Gen 7, ähnlich wie das Gen 6 ThinkPad X1 Yoga, ein 16:10, 14-Zoll-Display. Was die Akkulaufzeit betrifft, hat Lenovo erwähnt, dass das Notebook im MobileMark 2018 Benchmark bis zu 14,9 Stunden durchhält, wenn der Bildschirm auf 250 nits eingestellt ist, und 19,7 Stunden bei lokaler Videowiedergabe und einem Bildschirm von 150 nits. Still, Lenovo is charging a high price for this device, and there are companies out there making processors that will last you twice as long to a charge. I want a device that’s well over $2,000 to last me a workday, and we shouldn’t be asked to settle for less. A device with the ThinkPad’s beauty, power, price, and legendary branding deserves better.

I like the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 7. A lot. I’ve personally purchased ThinkPads for most of my life, and the X1 Yoga Gen 7 underscores the reasons for my preference. It has a handsome, durable exterior, a great keyboard, offers the unique TrackPoint impact, and delivers on connectivity and battery life. It’s great for working long hours yet portable enough for travel. The X1 Yoga is also more expensive than the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio which, though now a generation behind on processor performance, provides a more compelling 2-in-1 experience. Lenovo’s premium ThinkPads target very specific customers with a willingness to pay for exactly what they want. If that’s you (or your boss is willing to foot the bill), awesome. But most people would be better off buying the Yoga 9i and pocketing the savings.

Lenovo:
Lenovo („Le“ vom englischen legend, novo (Latein) für neu) wurde 1984 als chinesische Computerhandelsfirma gegründet. Ab 2004 war die Firma der größte Laptop-Hersteller Chinas und nach der Übernahme der PC-Sparte von IBM im Jahr 2005 der viertgrößte weltweit. Neben Desktops und Notebooks stellt das Unternehmen Monitore, Beamer, Server etc her und hat sich auf die Entwicklung, Herstellung und Vermarktung von Unterhaltungselektronik, Personalcomputern, Software, Unternehmenslösungen und damit verbundenen Dienstleistungen spezialisiert.
Im Jahr 2016 belegte das Unternehmen weltweit den ersten Platz bei den Computerverkäufen. Auch 2023 hatte es ihn noch inne bei ca 23% Weltmarktanteil. Wichtige Produktreihen sind Thinkpad, Legion und Ideapad.
2011 wurde die Mehrheit der Medion AG übernommen, einem europäischen Computer-Hardware-Hersteller. 2014 wurde Motorola Mobility gekauft, wodurch Lenovo einen Schub am Smartphone-Markt erreichte.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

i7-1260P: Auf der Alder-Lake-Architektur basierender High-End Mobilprozessor. Bietet 4 Performance-Kerne und 8 Effizienzkerne und kann 16 Threads gleichzeitig bearbeiten. Der maximale Turbo-Takt der P-Kerne beträgt 4,7 GHz.

14 Zoll Display-Grösse stellt ein Mittelding zwischen den kleinen Subnotebook-Formaten und den Bildschirmen der 15 Zoll-Standard-Laptops dar.
Der Grund der Beliebtheit mittelgrosser Displays ist, dass diese Größe einigermaßen augenschonend ist, gute Auflösungen mit brauchbaren Detailgrößen liefern und dennoch nicht allzu viel Strom verbraucht und die Geräte noch halbwegs kompakt sein können.
Früher waren 14 Zoll-Geräte sehr selten, jetzt stellen sie nach den 15-Zollern den Standard bei Laptops dar.

71.88%: Diese Bewertung ist schlecht. Locker drei Viertel der Modelle werden besser beurteilt. Das ist eher keine Kaufempfehlung. Auch wenn Verbalbewertungen in diesem Bereich gar nicht so schlecht klingen ("genügend" oder "befriedigend"), meist sind es Euphemismen, die eine Klassifikation als unterdurchschnittliches Notebook verschleiern.
