Oukitel WP5000
Das Oukitel WP5000 ist ein neu herausgebrachtes Robust-Smartphone. Es wurde für Abenteurer gemacht und eignet sich für Outdoor-Fans, Distanzfahrer, Kuriere, Schwimmer, Bauarbeiter usw. Es zeichnet sich durch ein besonders robustes Design aus und bietet nicht nur einen starken Akku, sondern auch einen großen Bildschirm und die Möglichkeit zwei SIM-Karten gleichzeitig zu nutzen. Das Gehäuse des Gerätes ist aus Zink-Legierung und dreifach nach Militärstandards getesteten Kunststoff, sodass sich ein ziemlich robustes Gehäuse ergibt. Das Oukitel WP5000 ist in den Farben schwarz, grün und orange erhältlich. Anders als andere Robust-Smartphones, die schwer und dick sind, sieht das WP5000 wegen seines 18:9-Designs lang und schlank aus. Im Gehäuse mit Abmessungen von 168,8 x 81,9 x 13,9 mm packt Oukitel einen 5,7-Zoll-Bildschirm im 18:9-Format, der eine HD+-Auflösung von 720 x 1.440 Pixeln bietet. Die Pixeldichte beträgt 282 DPI. Dragontrail-Glass schützt den Bildschirm bei Stürzen und vor Beschädigungen. Das Smartphone wird durch einen MediaTek-Prozessor (Helio P25 / MT6757CD ) mit acht Kernen und bis zu 2.5 GHz angetrieben. 6 GB RAM stehen Prozessen zur Verfügung. Außerdem sind ein 64-GB-Speicher für Apps und persönliche Daten vorhanden. Sollten 64 GB nicht reichen, kann der Speicher mit einer MicroSD-Karte um bis zu 128 GB erweitert werden. Oukitel hat zudem eine Dual-Kamera von Samsung im WP5000 verbaut. Die beiden Linsen können eine Auflösung von bis zu 21 bzw. 8 MP liefern. Für Selfies und Video-Telefonie gibt es eine 13-MP-Frontkamera. Diese sollte klare und wunderschöne Selfies liefern. Eine eigene Headphonebuchse fehlt beim neuen Outdoor-Smartphone von Oukitel. Stattdessen vertraut der Hersteller auf einen USB-Type-C-Anschluss, an welchen herkömmliche Kopfhörer via Adapter angeschlossen werden können. Alternativ sind auch via Bluetooth 4.0 Audioverbindungen möglich. Softwareseitig wird das IP68-zertifizierte Oukitel WP5000 durch Android 7.1.1. angetrieben, womit es etwas hinter dem Markt nachhinkt. Anders verhält es sich mit den Basisfunktionen eines Mobiltelefons. Außer GSM und UMTS wird auch LTE einschließlich den LTE-Bändern 3, 7, 8 und 20 unterstützt. Außer den zuvor erwähnten Hardware-Dienten gibt es einen 5,200-mAh-Akku, der Fast-Charging unterstützt. Allerdings kann es auch mit Fast-Charging bis zu 2,5 Stunden dauern, bis der Akku von 0 auf 100 % aufgeladen ist. Eine Benachrichtigungs-LED informiert über verpasste Anrufe und Nachrichten. Obwohl Oukitel ein Neuling am Android-Markt ist, hat der Hersteller in den letzten paar Jahren an Marktanteilen zugelegt. In the end, we can say that the Oukitel WP27 is a pretty good protected budget smartphone. Of the obvious pluses can be noted: display, performance, build quality, design, autonomy and the price of the device. Of the minuses, except for the weak camera, namely evening (night) photo and video shooting. But I have already said, the camera is not the main thing here, and they did not bet on it initially. I would say that Oukitel WP27 is not a bad mid-ranger among the protected budget phones. There is nothing in it that would strongly distinguish it from its competitors, both for good and for bad. As with all rugged phones, this has a very specific use case. It is very good at completing tasks where you would be outside, on a building site or in an otherwise dirty or dangerous environment. Dropping it in such areas, assuming you don't lose it in the process, will likely result in absolutely no damage to the device, although I do wonder how the polycarbonate backplate will hold up after prolonged use and exposure to rough environments, but there's also a TPU case included if owners are worried about damaging or scratching the camouflage print.. As I have said in previous rugged phone reviews, you can probably forget about using it as a main phone and sticking it in your Bermuda shorts or pant pockets. If you do, however, the ever-present risk of being pantsied by your own phone will haunt you. This is true even for a big guy like myself, it is proper heavy at 328 g. In fact I opted to keep it in my backpack when I was out shooting pictures with it.

Oukitel ist eine chinesische Smartphone-Marke und ein im Jahr 2007 gegründes Unternehmen. Die Firma ist für die Herstellung erschwinglicher Smartphones mit großen Akkus bekannt. Die Smartphones von Oukitel sind in Schwellenländern wie Afrika und Südostasien sehr beliebt. Zu den beliebten Oukitel-Smartphones gehören das Oukitel K10000 mit einem riesigen 10.000-mAh-Akku und das Oukitel C21, das über ein 6,4-Zoll-FHD+-Display und eine Vierfachkamera verfügt.
