The Acer Chromebook 515 looks to continue Acer’s great run of Chromebooks in recent years with a decent overall package for those after a large screen Chromebook at more of an affordable price that still packs plenty of power. It borrows looks from more of a high-end machine, while the port selection will be good enough for most people. The display here proved to be handy for day to day working, as did the fact this Chromebook features some excellent levels of power with an 11th gen Intel Core i3 processor, especially when combined with its 128GB SSD and 8GB of RAM. It’s just the battery life here that proved to be an issue, but you’ll still be able to get a working day out of it if you’re careful.

For the $999 asking price of our review unit, Acer’s Chromebook 515 is a tough sell. It’s a fine device in its own right, offering a great keyboard and trackpad, enough battery life to squeeze through a workday, and a large, bright display that’s easy on the eyes. But you’re paying for hardware the operating system can’t really make use of (unless you really want to play a selection of Steam games), which makes the added performance not compelling. Therein lies the problem: value. The bulk of the best Chromebooks we’ve checked out, including the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook 2, aren’t nearly as well equipped. But it turns out a Core i3 and 8GB of RAM is plenty when you’re built for browsing the web. So if details like screen and speaker quality are important to you, you might be better off with something like the Galaxy Chromebook 2. But if you prize port selection and a comfy keyboard for maximum productivity, Acer's Chromebook 515 is a solid Chromebook that should serve you well. If you don't plan on playing Steam games, consider getting a cheaper model

Intel Iris Xe G7 80EUs: Integrierte Grafikkarte (in Tiger-Lake G4 SoCs) der Gen. 12 Architektur mit 80 EUs. Z.B. in Tiger Lake i5 CPUs verbaute iGPU.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
