EN→DEThe Alienware m16 delivered exactly what we expected of it. This is a more powerful, less portable version of the recent Alienware x16, trading some slimness and weight for superior performance. If you’re shopping at the 16-inch size, portability isn’t always the main priority anyway, and the weight difference isn’t a world apart. We think the m16 makes more sense at 16 inches, where the X series really excels at smaller sizes like the x14. Our caveat is, of course, that the review unit we tested that posted such competitive performance is expensive. That doesn’t have to be the case—the starting price is just above entry-level, and you'll find configuration options for every budget in between—but to review it as a top-end system means shoppers have to pay top dollar to match the performance.

EN→DEGaming is a tough business: today’s state-of-the-art gaming laptop is tomorrow's doorstop. As modern games improve, they make more demands on the machines that run them, pushing the envelope of what the hardware has to do. That’s why it often makes sense to spend more money on a decent gaming laptop such as the Alienware M16, which will keep up with games for a few years at least. It feels odd to call a laptop as pricey as this good value for money. Still, it is. The combination of an AMD Ryzen 9 7845HX (but not the more expensive 7945HX) and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 GPU (not the more expensive 4090), provides excellent performance without the cutting-edge price. So, if you can afford it, the Alienware M16 is a great pick for a gaming laptop that can play as hard as you do and should keep doing so for the next few years. Just don’t forget to take the power supply with you because the battery life is not the one.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Laptop GPU: High-End-Notebookgrafikkarte basierend auf die Ada Lovelace Architektur. Bietet 12 GB GDDR6 VRAM (192 Bit) und ca 60-150W TGP (+ Dynamic Boost). Vorstellung sollte im Januar 2023 erfolgen, Verkaufsstart dann im Februar.
High-End Grafikkarten welche auch neueste und anspruchsvolle 3D-Spiele in hohen Auflösungen und Detailstufen flüssig wiedergeben können. Durch den hohen Stromverbrauch, werden diese GPUs nur in großen und schweren Notebooks mit geringen Akkulaufzeiten angeboten.

R9 7845HX: High-End-Mobil-12-Kern Prozessor mit 24 Threads und die zweit-schnellste Ryzen 9 Notebook-CPU zum Launch in 2023. Taktet mit maximal 5,2 GHz auf einem Kern und kann dadurch in Single- und auch Multi-Thread-Anwendungen überzeugen.
