Das Asus Vivobook S 16 ist ein Notebook mit Windows-on-ARM-Technologie, das vor allem durch seine beeindruckend lange Akkulaufzeit punktet. Im Inneren arbeitet ein Snapdragon-X1-Prozessor von Qualcomm mit acht Kernen und einer maximalen Taktfrequenz von 3 GHz, unterstützt von 16 GB Arbeitsspeicher. In unseren Tests ist die Leistung des Vivobook S 16 zufriedenstellend. Positiv fällt der leise Lüfter auf. Besonders überzeugt hat uns das matte 16-Zoll-IPS-Display. Mit einer Auflösung von 2.560 x 1.600 Pixeln und einer Helligkeit von 383 cd/m² im Vollbild-Modus bietet es ein klares und helles Bild. Die Farbraumabdeckung ist ebenfalls solide und erreicht im Standard-Farbraum 98 Prozent. Die integrierte 2,1-Megapixel-Webcam mit Gesichtserkennung liefert hervorragende Bildqualität und kann bei Bedarf durch eine Abdeckung schnell deaktiviert werden – ein praktisches Detail.

That said, this isn’t a machine built for gaming or high-refresh entertainment. The 60Hz refresh rate and integrated GPU limit its suitability for gamers or heavy video editors. So if this is your usecase, I would recommend looking at other options which might cost higher as well. For everyone else, the Vivobook S16 checks all boxes: it’s stylish, portable, and practical, making it a worthy investment.

Overall, the ASUS Vivobook S16 with the Snapdragon X chipset isn't a perfect laptop, but it’s a great one. For the price of just PHP 50,995, it definitely has its strong suits, such as the long battery life and nice display. The Snapdragon X chipset can also handle all your productivity workload as well. But if you want to game, you could consider the AMD or Intel versions of the Vivobook S16. Same exterior and features, just with a chipset we’ve all come to love. Not to mention you won’t have to worry about installing programs.

Qualcomm Adreno X1-45 1.7 TFLOPS: Die Qualcomm Snapdragon X Adreno X1-45 ist die schwächste GPU in the Snapdragon X Plus SoCs mit nur 1,7 statt 3,8 TFLOPS an Leistung. Wahrscheinlich wird dies durch weniger Taktraten und / oder weniger Kerne erreicht.

Durch aktuell eingeschränkten Treibersupport und Spieleunterstüztung ist die 3D-Leistung und Kompabilität in Spielen jedoch nicht vergleichbar mit Nvidia und AMD iGPUs.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
