The HP OmniBook Ultra 14 is a great laptop and an obvious go-to if you want a portable laptop that also delivers serious performance. Relative to its competitors, such as the Dell XPS 14, Prestige Flip 14 AI+, and the Acer Swift X 14 AI, the OmniBook Ultra takes a clear lead (though I will note the Dell XPS 14 is also now available with the Core Ultra X9 388H, which may upgrade its performance to compete with the OmniBook Ultra). In short, the OmniBook Ultra 14 is luxurious, performs well, and delivers good value for money. What more could you want?

There are other benefits to running Intel’s latest x86 processors with a lower power envelope. Namely, this notebook will last you a surprisingly long time. During regular use, with the brightness at around the halfway point and the power set to the Windows 11 “balanced” profile, I managed more than five hours of continuous use, including multiple tasks such as writing and photo editing. While I was running around Taipei, the OmniBook Ultra was a constant companion; I could always expect to have enough battery left to pump out another blog post. At these high price points, those little things, stacked up, can easily take “good enough” to “not worth the money.”

It offers a sleek and sturdy aluminium chassis, an excellent 3K OLED display, fast PCIe Gen5 storage, respectable battery life, and enough performance to handle demanding productivity and content creation workloads. What makes the OmniBook Ultra 14 particularly interesting is how it balances portability and performance. At this price point, it faces competition from offerings such as the ASUS ZenBook S16 as well as HP's own OmniBook X 14. However, if you're looking for an elegantly built Windows laptop with a stunning OLED display, excellent everyday performance, and strong portability credentials, the OmniBook Ultra 14 is easy to recommend.

Intel Intel Graphics 4 Xe3 PTL: Die Intel Graphics 4 Xe3 ist eine integrierte Grafikkarte in Panther Lake SoCs mit 4 Xe3 Kernen (32 EUs / 512 ALUs), 4 Raytracing Kernen und einer Taktung von bis zu 2450 MHz.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
