EN→DEThe Lenovo ThinkPad L14 Gen 4 (Intel) is a solid offer in its class. The comfort under load is good – the fan is quiet and the chassis doesn’t become unbearable hot to the touch during heavy CPU loads. Speaking of which, the cooling looks modest but the optional Core i7-1355U can maintain high frequencies even in prolonged periods of 100% stress – great! The spill-resistant keyboard is cozy enough for long hours of work and the touchpad is smooth and accurate. Just don’t forget that the backlight is optional. The I/O features a surprising amount of ports for the price class – four USB ports, an HDMI 2.1, and a LAN. You can also opt for an optional optional Smart Card reader and 4G connectivity. The 14″ 1080p IPS display (BOE NV140FHM-N4U (LEN40A9; BOE08D6)) doesn’t disappoint thanks to its wide viewing angles and lack of PWM usage. It’s not the most color-accurate unit in the world but that’s kind of normal for this price point.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
