The Lenovo ThinkPad X12 Detachable is a respectably powerful hybrid business laptop for those who want to seamlessly move from canvas to workstation, but it's not without its faults. The entry level configuration is affordable, but if you want to get decent performance out of it, you'll have to spend a good bit more. As such, those who don't need all the business-centric features will probably want to look elsewhere, since there are more powerful hybrids for less.

When comparing the X12 to the Surface Pro 7 Plus, the latter factor is what really seals the deal for me. The merits of the two laptops’ respective enterprise features and upgradability benefits will likely vary between companies. But for a consumer like me, the fact that the accessories you need are bundled into the X12’s price makes it a significantly better deal than its Microsoft competitor without too many drawbacks. And if you’re a ThinkPad fan who’s been hoping for a capable detachable with all your favorite features, your wish has certainly come true.

The X12 is every bit as good as the flagship Surface Pro 7 Plus and even manages to outclass it on a handful of occasions. Lenovo took its sweet time to re-enter the detachable market, but it reemerges with a solid hit on its hands for anyone who was looking for a Surface Pro replacement or couldn't talk their organization into switching contracts. As I mentioned, the in-hand tablet feel of the X12 was preferable to me, offering a bit more ruggedness and grippiness, so for warehouse or in-the-field workers, the military-grade engineering of the X12 may be the right balance between portability and real-world usage. Couple the fact that both the pen and keyboard come bundled in the box, the X12 is a clear winner for anyone who isn't buying their device based on brand loyalty.

If you're in the market for a Windows 10 tablet with an attachable keyboard, you don't have a lot of options these days. You're probably looking at this and Microsoft's Surface Pro 7, or the Surface Pro 7+ if it's for a business. The hardware is all pretty similar, with similarly-sized bezels, the same sized screens, and so on.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
