The Realme GT 8 Pro is a hard sell. It’s feature-packed, but not all of its ideas work, and while the software is tried-and-tested, Realme’s version is less enticing than OxygenOS 16, for example. The camera is a really exciting start to the Ricoh partnership. It’s varied, takes a different direction to the competition, and is fun to try out. Battery life is great, but concerns over performance, cooling, and efficiency are valid. All this means the Realme GT 8 Pro isn’t bad, but the OnePlus 15 is the safer choice, even if the camera is not as engaging.

The Realme GT8, launched on October 21, 2025, is Realme’s latest flagship offering that combines raw power with premium design. It features a sleek glass front with an aluminum frame, and users can choose between a fiberglass or eco-leather back. The phone also boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it can easily survive dust, water jets, and even being submerged for 30 minutes up to 2 meters deep. At around 209 to 214 grams, it feels solid in hand without being overly heavy. The front is dominated by a stunning 6.79-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1440 x 3136 pixels resolution, and an impressive 508 ppi density. This screen supports HDR and can hit an extraordinary 7000 nits of peak brightness, ensuring perfect visibility even under direct sunlight.

Realme: Realme ist ein chinesischer Smartphone-Hersteller, der im Jahr 2018 gegründet wurde. Das Unternehmen ist eine Tochtergesellschaft von Oppo, einem anderen chinesischen Smartphone-Hersteller. Dieser ist ein Tochterunternehmen von BBK Electronic Corporation, einem riesigen chinesischen Elektronikkonzern, zu dem auch OnePlus und Vivo gehören.

Realme konzentriert sich auf die Herstellung von Smartphones und wurde besonders in Indien populär. Neben Smartphones stellt Realme auch andere Produkte der Unterhaltungselektronik her, wie Smartwatches, Kopfhörer und Powerbanks.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
