There's no denying that the NF210 is a very nice netbook indeed. The slick design goes some way towards justifying the slightly high price tag, as does the satisfyingly comfortable keyboard and the zippy dual-core processor. If price is the most important consideration, then you can probably find a comparable model for less money. However, it you can afford the NF210, then you're unlikely to be disappointed, presuming that you aren't bothered about the lack of an HDMI port.

We wanted to like the Samsung NF210, if only because of its luxuriously sleek appearance and comfortable keyboard. Unfortunately, compared to a single core Atom netbook, the performance of its dual core Atom processor currently isn't much faster and its battery life is shorter too. If you can live with its plainer looks, Samsung's similarly priced single core N230 is a better buy for travelers thanks to its superior battery life.

Samsung's NF210 impresses with a dual core Atom CPU and high capacity battery, but its unique design is what really sets it apart. However, it's still a netbook at heart, so with a price tag of £330 it won't be for everyone.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 3150: Integrierte (shared memory) Grafikkarte welche im Prozessor Intel Atom N4xx integriert ist. Basiert laut Intel auf einen "optimierten" X3100 Kern, ist jedoch nur minimal schneller als der alte GMA 950. Daher für HD Videos und 3D Spiele nicht geeignet.

3D Spiele sind auf diesen Vertretern nur in Ausnahmen spielbar, grundsätzlich sind die Grafiklösungen hierfür jedoch nicht geeignet. Office Programme und Internet surfen dürfte jedoch ohne Problem möglich sein.

Intel Atom: Die Intel Atom Serie besteht aus 64-Bit Mikroprozessoren für günstige und stromsparende Notebooks, MIDs oder UMPC. Besonderheit der Architektur, ist das die Befehle nicht wie derzeit üblich (z. B. Intel Core Architekture oder AMD Turion) "out of Order"  sondern  "in  Order"  ausgeführt  werden. Dadurch verliert man zwar einiges an Performance, jedoch spart dies Transistoren und daher Kosten und dadurch auch etwas Strom.

N470: Kommende Atom CPU für Netbooks (höher getakteter N450) mit integriertem DDR2 Speichercontroller und GMA 3150 Grafik. Die Leistung der CPU ist anscheinend nur etwas besser als die des Atom Z450, jedoch ist der gesamte Stromverbrauch deutlich besser.
