Perhaps it's because Acer doesn't classify the Ferrari One as a netbook at all, even though its screen, keyboard, and size are nearly identical to Acer's 11.6-inch-screened Aspire One netbook. The Ferrari One features standout styling, and it backs up its good looks with excellent performance for a notebook in its size class.

Wenn das Acer Ferrari One 200-314G50N nicht eine so kurze Laufzeit hätte, könnte es sogar auf Platz 1 unserer Netbook-Bestenliste vorpreschen. Nüchtern betrachtet ist es zwar trotz der tollen Ausstattung und Verarbeitung zu teuer, doch hier zählen andere Werte. Einen echten Ferrari kauft auch keiner, weil es ein günstiges, praktisches Auto ist. Design und Marke spielen bei der Preisgestaltung eine große Rolle.

Acer: 1976 gegründet, ist Acer einer der internationalen Hersteller mit den meisten Marktanteilen weltweit und den meisten getesteten Notebook-Modellen im deutsch- und englischsprachigen Raum. Nach eigenen Angaben ist das Unternehmen "drittgrößter Anbieter auf dem PC-Weltmarkt und auf Position zwei im Notebook-Segment mit dem schnellsten Wachstum unter den Top fünf der Weltrangliste". Der Konzern ist zusammengeschlossen mit Gateway Inc. und Packard Bell. Acer beschäftigt weltweit 5.000 Mitarbeiter. Im Jahr 2007 realisierter Umsatz: 14,07 Mrd. US$. Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders die DirectX 10 fähigen Vertreter (9300M, HD 3400) sind nicht in der Lage ihre DirectX 10 Effekte (bei hohen Details) flüssig darzustellen.
