There’s also an excellent battery life of over 10 hours at the very least, which should be fine for most users. We are pleasantly surprised by the ASUS Vivobook S 14 OLED M5406. Its biggest advantage is the fact that the performance is as good as the 16-inch sibling. The Ryzen 5 7535HS sustains a 3.34GHz clock in long stress which is almost 200MHz higher compared to the M5606 model. Also, the keyboard doesn’t get any hot. If you don’t care much about the higher resolution of the optional and more expensive 3K panel, the default 1200p OLED panel (ATNA40CT02-0 (SDC41A0)) is a great choice with its superb color accuracy, infinite contrast ratio, and full DCI-P3 coverage. You get the same amount of ports as the 16-inch iteration. However, the data transfer speed of the USB connectors of the Zen 3+ machine is limited to just 5 Gbps.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. ist ein großer taiwanesischer Hersteller von Computer-Hardware mit Sitz in Taipeh, gegründet 1989. Unter dem Markennamen Asus fertigt das Unternehmen eine breite Palette von Produkten, darunter Laptops, Desktops, Motherboards, Grafikkarten, Monitore, Smartphones und Netzwerkgeräte, Komplettsysteme und PC-Bauteile für Endkunden.

Unter dem Markennamen ROG (Republic of Gamers) stellt ASUS Gaming-Laptops her, die bei Spielern für ihre leistungsstarken Spezifikationen, dedizierten Grafikkarten, Displays mit hoher Bildwiederholrate und fortschrittlichen Kühlsystemen bekannt sind.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

AMD Radeon 890M: Starke RDNA3+ basierende integrierte Grafikkarte (iGPU) mit 16 Compute Units (= 1024 Unified Shader) und einer Taktung von bis zu 2,9 GHz.

Intel Arc 130V: Schnelle integrierte Grafikkarte, die in den langsameren Intel Lunar Lake Prozessoren zum Einsatz kommt. Die 130V verfügt über 7 Xe²-Architekturkerne, die mit bis zu 1.850 MHz laufen, und 7 Raytracing-Einheiten. Sie ist DirectX 12 Ultimate-fähig und unterstützt alle modernen Video-Codecs. 

AMD Radeon 880M: Starke RDNA3+ basierende integrierte Grafikkarte (iGPU) mit 12 der 16 Compute Units (= 768 Unified Shader) und einer Taktung von bis zu 2,9 GHz.

Ryzen AI 9 HX 370: Der Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 ist ein schneller Strix Point prozessor für Notebooks welcher in 2024 vorgestellt wurde. Er integriert 12 CPU Kerne, 4 basierend auf die neue Zen 5 Architktur und 8 kleinere Zen 5c basierende Kerne (mit weniger Cache). Weiters integriert der Chip eine schnelle 50 TOPS XDNA 2 Neural Engine für AI Beschleunigung und eine schnelle 16 CU RDNA 3+ GPU.

Ryzen AI 9 365: Starker Mittelklasse Prozessor der Strix Point Familie aus Mitte 2024. Integriert 10 Zen 5/5c Prozessorkerne mit 2 - 5 GHz und eine starke 50 TOPS XDNA 2 AI Engine.

Intel Lunar Lake: Launching in September 2024 with Xe2 graphics and few CPU cores.

Core Ultra 5 226V: Einer der langsamsten Prozessoren der Lunar Lake Familie.
