EN→DEDell's XPS line has always been a showcase for the best display technologies and future-forward design, and the XPS 16 (2026) carries that torch forward. The 3.2K tandem OLED screen is a joy to look at, the touchpad is there when you need it and not when you don't, and the keyboard might not be everyone's cup of tea, but that's okay. We often call the XPS 14 "the best 14-inch laptop," and that's easily carried over to the 16-inch model. It's the best laptop for Windows users at that size, with a MacBook Pro feel, but by forging its own path to get there.

EN→DEWhen Dell decided to bring back the XPS name, COO Jeff Clake said the company was going to get back to its roots. That's the kind of messaging that's easy to stay on a stage, but after testing out the reborn XPS 16, I can confirm it isn't just flimsy rhetoric. This laptop is a shining example of a premium ultraportable Windows laptop done well. It features a super sleek aluminum chassis, strong performance, solid battery life and an excellent display, particularly if you upgrade to the 3.2K OLED option. The connection to the iconic award-winning systems isn't just skin deep.

EN→DEThe Dell XPS 14 (2026) is back, and it’s easily one of the best Windows 11 laptops you can buy right now. It’s a great showcase for Intel’s Panther Lake hardware, and the fact that it’ll run games despite only having integrated graphics is seriously impressive. However, it doesn’t quite hit the heights of the latest MacBook Pro, and it does feel like Windows 11 is holding it back. If you like Windows, this is a great laptop, but it won’t be converting any Apple fans.

EN→DEThe Dell XPS 14 feels like a laptop that focuses on refining every little experience. It looks premium, comes with a solid build, and delivers incredible performance. The speakers and the webcam here are nice little bonuses to have. With that being said, I do wish Dell had included more ports and the touchscreen isn’t of much use. As mentioned already, this model costs Rs 2,57,890. And this is just out of reach for a lot of people. So, the Dell XPS is certainly not for everyone out there. But if you do have the budget for it, this is one of those laptops you can buy without overthinking too much.

EN→DEThe Dell XPS 14 (2026) is a solid Windows ultrabook with a sharp, redesigned look, great battery life and a decent IPS screen. For the price, though, this base model cuts a fair few corners in terms of port selection, overall grunt and display quality against rivals that make it a little more difficult to recommend. For reference, the Asus Zenbook A14 (2026) costs the same price as the base model XPS 14 (2026) and provides even longer battery life, more power with its Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, a more varied port selection and is some 400g lighter. The Acer Swift Edge 14 AI may have one of Intel’s last-gen Lunar Lake chips inside, but it’s just as brisk as this Dell choice, and has a stronger port selection, similar battery life and is also lighter. It makes the XPS 14 (2026) in this configuration a little harder to recommend than in one of the beefier options available, although then you have other pro-grade laptops to consider that may have it beaten on ports and other, smaller things. For more options, though, check out our list of the best ultrabooks we’ve tested.

EN→DEThe Dell XPS 14 feels like a comeback done right. It's sleek, seriously portable at 1.36kg, and backs that up with a gorgeous 120Hz OLED that makes both work and binge sessions equally enjoyable. The new Intel Core Ultra X7 chip keeps things fast and fluid for everyday tasks and creative work, while battery life holds up impressively well. Minor quirks aside, this is a premium Windows laptop that nails the essentials and then some. In terms of competition, the Samsung Galaxy Book6 Pro offers similar performance with added perks if already invested in Samsung's ecosystem, while the ASUS ExpertBook Ultra leans into a more work-focused approach with its matte display and office-friendly design. Since all three pack the same X7 processor, performance is largely on par. That said, the XPS 14 still stands out with its iconic design, premium build, and that unmistakable XPS flair, making it feel just a bit more special in everyday use.

EN→DEI don't see any reason to be against this laptop as it does a ton right. What you need to do is research what you want out of a laptop and make a decision from there. I would highly recommend combing the options on Dell's website to drop the price if you don't need everything the highest-end options have to offer. For example, I don't need anywhere close to 32 GB on a laptop, and I barely need that on my desktop PC. On the other hand, somebody doing a lot of video editing benefits from that. If you do end up getting this laptop, I have no doubt that you'll be impressed with what it has to offer. I give it a cautious recommendation based only on the fact that it's overkill for the casual person, even if you do cut some of the higher-end features. I wouldn't recommend this laptop to somebody looking to just casually surf the web. There are far cheaper options for people like that. This is a very good, lightweight laptop, and if it fits your needs, it won't let you down.

EN→DEThe XPS is back in a big way – and after positive early impressions, it's great to confirm that this 2026 model is a major return to form, too. The Dell XPS 14 is just about the most desirable non-gaming Windows laptop I've tested in years, and it's the first one that's had me genuinely wondering if I'd rather use it than my MacBook Pro. It has a gorgeous design featuring a classy new chassis, superb Intel Panther Lake power at its heart, a beautiful OLED display in this premium model, and a keyboard that's pleasant to use. All that makes it a laptop with basically no rough edges other than an undeniably steep asking price – but for those with generous workplaces or budgets of their own, this feels like a slam dunk from Dell.

EN→DEBased on our initial time with it, the Dell XPS 14 looks like a strong case for premium thin-and-light laptops. Given the hefty price tag of Rs 2,05,990, the build quality is superb, the OLED screen is truly stunning, and the hardware setup, especially the pairing of the Intel Arc B390 graphics and NPU, along with generous shared memory, results in a system that outperforms standard ultrabooks by far. The AI-ready capabilities of Copilot+, coupled with the entire package, make this laptop a strong recommendation at first glance.

EN→DEThe new XPS 14 is proof Dell can take user complaints on the chin and come back even stronger. The firm has directly addressed the old model’s biggest pain points, reversed an unnecessary rebrand, and stepped up on power courtesy of Intel’s latest CPUs. This is a powerful yet long-lasting ultraportable with a simply gorgeous screen. It looks and feels like a thoroughly modern machine too. It’s not a complete redemption: the keyboard still takes some getting used to and connectivity has dipped a bit between generations. Pricing isn’t on Dell’s side, either. Apple’s 14in MacBook Pro with the base M5 silicon in similar specification is more affordable, plus it has a more comfortable keyboard and keeps creator-friendly features like an SD card slot. As far as Windows-powered lightweight laptops go, however, it’s up there near the top of the pile.

EN→DEWhile the Dell XPS 14 is not a perfect 10—if it were lighter and quieter, it certainly would be closer to it—but even with its minor flaws, this is one seriously good PC. Those who want a slick design, lots of power for editing or AI tasks, and a gorgeous screen will not be disappointed with the return of Dell’s flagship performance line. Starting at $1,699 for 16GB of RAM, 512GB SSD, and a non-touch, non-OLED screen (or $2,199 for our 32GB, 1TB SSD, and OLED touch model), these aren’t inexpensive PCs—but the craftsmanship and power help to justify the price tag.

EN→DEI have always loved the XPS line of Dell laptops. The Dell XPS 14 and the 16 are probably the best XPS laptops ever made. It took a controversial move of killing its name for Dell to make it better than ever, so maybe we should thank them for that. Here are my key takeaways, both good and bad, of the Dell XPS 14. The 2026 Dell XPS 14 is a triumphant “comeback” that proves Dell still knows how to build a flagship. It is a no-brainer for the professional who wants the best display and build quality available on the Windows side. If you can stomach the price and the limited ports, this is a machine that will easily last you the next five+ years.

I had to seriously slow down my typing just to get this review written, and even then I still had to back up and make more corrections than usual. Dell is so close to making a PC that’s a true MacBook Pro competitor, it's a shame a simple keyboard issue holds the XPS 14 back from true greatness.

EN→DEThe Dell XPS 14 with LCD display is, in some ways, an excellent value. I hesitate to call a retail MSRP of $1,409.99 affordable, but in 2026 it’s definitely more of a mid-range price than it used to be. And the entry-level XPS 14 retains most of the perks found in more expensive configurations. It has a great haptic touchpad, lots of Thunderbolt connectivity, and a beautiful design. Intel’s Core Ultra 5 325 is a weakness at this price point, however. $1,400 is enough to snag a number of alternative laptops with AMD Ryzen 7/9 AI or Intel Core Series 7 chips, and most of these will have a significant advantage. The integrated GPU performance is more competitive but still not impressive.

EN→DEWith the XPS 14, Dell corrects many of the missteps it took with the previous 14 Premium. I love its sleek looks, solid feel and trim dimensions. And I love the fact that it's more than half a pound lighter than the tank that was the Dell 14 Premium. Dell must be feeling pretty proud about the XPS 14 because it slapped a premium price on this premium laptop. Apple does the same thing with its 14-inch MacBook Pro, but the M5 processor bested the Core Ultra X7 358H in the higher-end XPS 14 I tested with the OLED display. The two laptops make a great comparison because the OLED XPS 14 and M5 MacBook Pro we tested each cost $1,950. In this head-to-head, the MacBook Pro wins in terms of both power and efficiency, with better performance scores on nearly every test and longer battery life. And I still favor the MacBook Pro's overall design, even if it is a bit heavier. The XPS 14's return is a triumphant one overall, but the MacBook Pro is still the better premium laptop for creators.

EN→DEDell listened to its fans this year and brought back the XPS name. That's already a win, but a good thermal solution, powerful processors, and a chassis redesign that makes it even more futuristic seal the deal. It feels more MacBook Pro-ish than the tapered base of last year's Dell 14 Premium, offers plenty of battery life, and has good screens, whether you opt for IPS or OLED. If you need graphical prowess for content creation or gaming, go for the Core Ultra X7 358H, but the more affordable Core Ultra 7 355 is plenty for general computing tasks. And with more powerful processors, you also get an NPU for Copilot+. I know Dell apologized for how AI-centric last year's marketing was, but some of the features (especially the webcam ones) are things I use every day, and it feels weird when I use a laptop that doesn't have them. This is a superb laptop at any tier; it's just a shame that computer component pricing, as it is, might push it out of reach for many.

EN→DEThe Dell XPS 14 with OLED display is a luxurious Windows laptop with solid CPU and integrated GPU performance. I also like the large, responsive touchpad and commitment to high-speed connectivity, which includes Thunderbolt 4 and Wi-Fi 7. The OLED display is gorgeous and the built-in audio is among the best available from a Windows laptop. Dell still needs to improve the keyboard, which feels more shallow and less premium than many competitors. All of this results in a laptop that’s outstanding but just a hair away from being my top pick. The Dell XPS 14 looks spectacular and proves enjoyable to use, but I didn’t like it as much as the Asus ExpertBook Ultra, which is lighter and has a better keyboard.
