EN→DE Archive.org versionHP’s Pavilion dv5-1110em is the ideal laptop for the recession, cramming in loads of features at a bargain basement price. Billed as an Entertainment Notebook PC, the dv5 comes with an integrated Blu-ray optical drive - a surprise at this price. At a touch over £500, it’s amazing just how much the Pavilion dv5-1101em has to offer. There are few cheaper machines featuring Blu-ray drives, and it also provides reasonable multimedia performance. Along with the excellent build quality and comfort, it’s easy to recommend this laptop. Only the choice of processor lets it down - we found it slower than equivalent Intel-based machines, and the battery life is also poor. That said, unless you’re going to be carrying out the most processor-intensive tasks, or need a laptop for long-term travel, it’s a price well worth paying.

Serie: Günstige 15.4" Entertainment-Notebook Serie mit dedizierter Grafiklösung und AMD Puma oder Intel Centrino 2 Architektur.
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3450: Nachfolger der HD 2400 Grafikkarte und dank 55nm Prozess wahrscheinlich schneller getaktet und daher mit geringfügig besserer Leistung. Für anspruchslose Gelegenheitsspieler wahrscheinlich geeignet. Unterstützt DirectX 10.1 Effekte (jedoch ist die Karte dafür zu langsam) und Avivo Videofunktionen (zur Entlastung der CPU z.B. bei HD Videos).
Diese Karten können nur sehr alte und sehr anspruchslose 3D Spiele flüssig darstellen. Anwendungen wie Office, Internet surfen, Bildbearbeitung oder (SD) Videoschnitt sind jedoch ohne große Einschränkungen möglich.

AMD Turion X2: Der Turion X2 (ohne 64 im Namen!) basiert wie der Turion X2 Ultra auf der Puma Plattform und ist eine Mischung aus K8 Kern und dem Speicherkontroller vom K10 (Phenom). Neu ist außerdem der schnellere FSB (Hypertransport) und verbesserte Stromsparmechanismen. Im Vergleich zu gleichgetakteten Core 2 Duo zieht er jedoch weiterhin deutlich den kürzeren. Im Vergleich zu Ultra Version, ist der Turion X2 nur mit 2x512 KB L2 Cache ausgerüstet und dadurch bei gleicher Taktrate langsamer.

Auf den Griffin Kern basierender Doppelkernprozessor. Die Rechenkerne basieren noch auf den K8 Kern.
