EN→DEThe Vivo V50 5G very nearly justifies the R20,000 price with Zeiss-branded cameras and a 6,000mAh battery that just won’t quit. Throw in the reasonably comfy design, plenty bright display, and this should theoretically knock it out of the park. Unfortunately, it just can’t compete with the competition where it matters most. A recycled Snapdragon chipset, particularly one from two devices back, was never going to cut it, especially when you’re asking the average Saffa to part with a sizeable chunk of their income. While it may prove a worthy purchase for any aspiring smartphone photographers, it isn’t nearly a compelling enough offering for V30 owners.

EN→DEVivo V50 review: A wallet trap for thirst traps Our overall thoughts on the Vivo V50 echo most of our sentiments from the previous V30 review. Vivo's V-series has always been priced slightly higher than other midrange options because of its unique camera set and complementary features essential to selfie-first users. However, the value proposition has dropped significantly over the last 1.5 years. Aside from minor camera upgrades, there haven’t been many hardware updates. The display even took a small step backwards. As tech geeks, we cannot (in good faith) tell the hottest girl in the building that they should settle for less, especially seeing how some of them already choose their partners. We contend that Vivo V50 has two things going for it: long battery life and good photography chops.

EN→DEWhile the vivo V50 is a pretty phone, especially if you pick the brand’s own favourite colour of Ancora Red, just about everything else about the phone fits its asking price. Which is not a diss on the phone, especially now that, with its spec sheet, it’s not completely losing the pricing competition. In terms of value proposition, it’s actually in a pretty good spot. Opt for more affordable device, and you things could go either way in terms on the value proposition. Shell out a tad more, and you get a gaming phone with a better chipset, but as is the nature of gaming phones, know that there will be some compromises in the imaging department. Ultimately, the V50 is one of the more compellingly-priced phones by vivo.

EN→DEWrapping this one up, the vivo V50 5G is a phone you should think about if you want one that is durable, handy, has excellent cameras, and a good battery. Having it as your daily driver can meet your needs, aside from a phone that is primarily utilized for photography. With its excellent display, it provides a seamless experience for viewing movies and videos, working on assignments, browsing the internet, playing games, and navigating through social media. For a smartphone with a premium aesthetic, it is durable and supplies enough power with its massive battery that lasts for days. So, to answer the question of “Is it worth it?”, it actually is. You get solid features for its price.

EN→DEVivo seems to already have the formula down for a good camera-focused midranger and isn't rocking the boat too much with the V50. It basically borrows most of the experience and even hardware from the V40 and V30 before it, bringing in some new refinements. The main camera has been tweaked a little to now include a better OV50e sensor plus Zeiss optics for all three shooters. And there is now an even larger 6,000mAh battery with faster 90W charging. This year, the model introduces a new Dimond Shield Glass protection (in collaboration with Schott), which should be up to 50% more drop-resistant compared to the V40's first Schott glass. Of course, the trio of 50MP autofocusing cameras continue to be the star of the show.

EN→DEThe vivo V50 5G is a strong, capable, and reliable smartphone that is, unfortunately, absolutely boring. Its battery life is of standout quality, with few devices in its price range that can offer the same sort of sustainability, slowly and carefully sipping on power while you forget charging is even a thing. And while its camera array is formidable, it’s nothing mindblowing. For some reason, we think it would make a great camera setup for a busy mom or perhaps an older post-graduate student. Easy to use. Quality images. Nothing that will get people to stop and look, unlike the vivo X200 Pro. Finally, its performance capabilities, buffed by its high amount of RAM and Snapdragon chipset, round up a reliable feature phone coming at a somewhat steep R20 999.

EN→DEThe V50 benefits from a few upgrades to make it a decent improvement from the V40. However, it feels a bit left behind, especially with the competition using newer processors and components, all while having roughly the same asking price as the V50. Despite that, the V50 still stands out for having the best ultrawide camera for its price segment.

That move might open the gates further to grab one from an online retailer.

EN→DETo wrap things up—Vivo always focuses on camera and design, and in those areas, this phone is excellent. For photography, it’s probably one of the best options at this price. I just wish the performance was slightly better—it would have made for a more well-rounded package. But even now, the performance is decent. So, if you’re looking for a great-looking phone with an excellent camera, the Vivo V50 is a solid choice for you. The Vivo V50 is a solid phone with crisp and vibrant display and great battery life. EN→DEThe vivo V50 is equipped with a 6,000 mAh BlueVolt battery. It supports 90W FlashCharge, which allows up to six hours of phone calls or three hours of video streaming with a quick 10-minute charge. My job requires a tonne of phone use whether for social media purposes or capturing footage and the vivo V50 has certainly hit the mark with its battery life. It lasted entire days without needing a charge, even when I required some heavy lifting from the phone. EN→DESo, should you buy the vivo V50? Well, it’s a bit more nuanced here. I will say that if you’re using something like the vivo V20 or older, then yes – it’s a great upgrade. Still, I do wish for a bit more performance since the gaming performance isn’t the best – but hey, if you don’t play games on your phone, then it’s not a problem. The battery life of the vivo V50 is astoundingly good, and we can even use a USB-PD PPS charger to get the same charging speed as the included 90W charger. That’s fantastic. Let’s not forget that the cameras are also good. It doesn’t have a telephoto camera, but the images from the ultrawide and main cameras are great.

EN→DEWe will keep it very simple: Go for the Vivo V50 if photography matters the most for you on a smartphone. Let’s face it: the phone is more than matched by lower-priced competitors in departments like display, processor and RAM, and storage. Bring those three cameras into play, however, and the Vivo V50 zooms into a zone of its own in spite of not having a telephoto sensor. This is pretty much a phone for those who put cameras well ahead of gaming. The battery life and sleek design are just the toppings on what is mainly a camera cake. EN→DEOverall, the vivo V50 is a solid midrange smartphone. It looks like vivo decided to just package all the goodies into one V series phone and call it a day. I think this was a good idea, rather than have two V-series phones with minor differences. I don’t think you need to rush out and upgrade from the V40 Pro, though if you want a bigger battery, then certainly do it. But there’s not a lot here to make me want to move from the V40 Pro. Still, if you’re looking to upgrade from an older midrange smartphone, and you can get one of these, then the vivo V50 is a solid choice. I will add, if you can at all afford to purchase the vivo X200 Pro, that is the one I would buy over this. But price is a factor.

EN→DEVivo's V50 midrange smartphone, like the preceding V40 series, aims to attract portrait photography enthusiasts with its ZEISS-branded rear camera array. Vivo refreshes the V-series about every 6 months, which probably translates to amazing sales numbers overseas, but the tangible upgrades are narrower when compared to phones that refresh annually. Since we've previously tried out the Vivo V30 and Vivo V40 phones, we expect rather similar specs. Let's get right to it.

EN→DEIf you like to shoot portraits, the Vivo V50 5G is a pretty good option. Like the Vivo V40 before it, this mid-range smartphone features the same design, with a dual-camera setup with Zeiss lenses, and the Aura light LED system. In fact, it's also using the same processor that was used with the V40 and the V30, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3. So, benchmarks-wise, it's similar to the other two phones. The noticeable upgrade is that it now sports a 6,000mAh battery with slightly longer battery life, and slightly faster charging speed (up to 90W). One thing appears to be a slight downgrade — the 6.8-inch display is now 6.77-inch, and pixel resolution went from 2,800 x 1,260 pixels to 2,392 x 1,080 pixels.

EN→DEVivo's abnormally quick product release cycle for its V series makes it obvious that many may hold off on upgrading to the new V50 despite its advancements over the V40 released last year. Given last year's release schedule, we can expect a Vivo V60 to be launched in the next 5 months, well before the year ends. Even if the upgrades are minor, they will still matter because we expect the pricing to stay the same. We have nobody but Vivo to blame for this conundrum. Those who own a Vivo V20 can now finally upgrade to the V50, which offers a big jump in overall performance. Vivo V30 upgrades also benefit from improved battery life and a better set of cameras.

EN→DENot everything that is old is bad. Wine, wood, leather, and brass, for example, can age gracefully and create unique characteristics that bring value to the design. Old can also mean stable, battle-tested, and reliable. It’s not flimsy and unpredictable, bringing a sense of calm and even peace. The Vivo V50 is like this, confident in how it doesn’t have to tread uncharted territory to bring the value that consumers want at this price point. Its features are already proven, and with a few nudges here and there, it even improves the formula by building on its solid foundations. Unfortunately, it is also being outpaced and outperformed by some of its peers, and only time will tell how long Vivo keep on using the same design before it becomes obsolete.

EN→DEThe Vivo V50, priced at Rs 34,999, presents a solid choice for those seeking a decent-specced smartphone in the mid-range category. While the OnePlus 13R may appeal to power users with its superior performance, it comes at a premium of around Rs 8,000 more than its base variant. Alternatively, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro is available for under Rs 30,000, but it falls short in terms of battery life, design, and camera capabilities compared to the V50. The Vivo V50 stands out with its sleek, premium design, complemented by IP69 water and dust resistance, offering impressive durability and an impressive viewing experience. EN→DEThe Vivo V50 is priced at Rs 34,999. It is a dependable smartphone that builds on the strengths of its predecessor with a few notable upgrades. If you are looking for a larger battery, improved durability, and faster 90W charging, the V50 is a good choice over its predecessor. The camera performance, especially in daylight and portrait shots, has also improved, making it a better option for photography. However, if you don’t prioritise these features, the Vivo V40 remains a good alternative, offering the same Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset and display performance. The slightly lower 80W charging and smaller battery may not be deal-breakers for select users. Ultimately, the V50 is a good step forward for those who want a better overall performance and experience compared to the Vivo V40, but if you have a limited budget, I recommend going for the V40.

EN→DEAfter spending a month with the Vivo V50 Elite Edition 5G, it’s clear where its strengths lie. If you’re someone who prioritises camera performance above all else, this phone truly stands out. The robust build, featuring Diamond Shield Glass and comprehensive IP ratings, also gives me peace of mind regarding its durability. Additionally, it has TWS earbuds included in the box, adding significant value. However, I have to be honest about its performance. Vivo’s decision to stick with the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 for a third consecutive model, coupled with outdated UFS 2.2 storage, makes gaming a frustrating experience. I constantly faced lag and overheating, which is unacceptable for a phone in this segment, especially when compared to Vivo T4 Ultra.

EN→DEThe vivo V50 Lite is priced at PHP 16,999 for the 8GB+256GB variant and PHP 19,999 for the 12GB+512GB configuration. The V50 Lite is a bit of a mixed bag. It excels in the basics: great battery life, a nice screen, and a clean design that looks better than it feels, all at a significantly lower price than its standard version. However, the lower price comes with trade-offs. You get a nice AMOLED screen, a durable build, and a massive 6500mAh battery with fast charging. But these are counterbalanced by a mediocre chipset, average camera performance, and a UI experience that could use more refinement. Wrapping this up, the vivo V50 Lite shines in battery life, display, and durability, making it a decent choice for everyday users who want a reliable phone that stands the test of time.

EN→DEvivo V50 LiteThe vivo V50 Lite continues vivo’s trend of making smartphones that serve as fashion statements, which is undoubtedly one of the company’s strong points. But visuals are not always enough, and the question is whether the V50 Lite is more than just a pretty face. Overall, it’s a decent phone for day-to-day activities and some casual gaming, with a big battery that allows for longer use. However, the camera does leave much to be desired, and for some users that may be a dealbreaker, especially with other options on the market.

EN→DEThe vivo V50 Lite is a surprisingly capable phone, offering impressive battery life that rivals many flagship phones, loud stereo speakers, 5G connectivity and AI capabilities. Add in its improved durability certification, bundled 90W charger and case along with its modest price point and you have an otherwise excellent budget phone.

EN→DEAnd finally – should you buy the vivo V50 Lite? All things considered, this is a pretty solid phone aimed at the lower-mid-range market. It is reflected in its price of RM1,299. There is and instant cash rebate that makes this phone essentially RM1,199 directly on launch alongside with some gifts but I’m focused on the price in this video. The main highlight of this phone is certainly going to be its design, the massive battery, and also fast proprietary charging speeds.

EN→DEThe V50 Lite featured a whopping 6500mAh BlueVolt battery, paired with the same 90W FlashCharge found on the standard V50 5G. The V50 Lite also brings in several AI-powered tools in this device. And that is what we’re going to explore in this article.

EN→DEAt S$499, the Vivo V50 Lite costs the same as its predecessor. Honestly, it's mostly a sidegrade compared with last year's version. The only significant upgrade is the battery life, which gets a solid boost. But the design, and notably the performance is more of the same. It's fine for a lower mid-range smartphone, especially if you value battery life over everything else. However, there are more exciting, and capable phones at this price point. Get the V50 Lite on Shopee and Lazada.

EN→DESo, should you get the Vivo V50e over the older V40e? My answer would be a strict no, as there are not a lot of new features in the new phone to warrant an upgrade. Yes, the latest model looks significantly better with its quad-curved display and unique rear panel, but that's not enough to make me recommend it to those who own the Vivo V40e (Review). The phone also pales in comparison with other phones in the same price range, such as the Poco X7 Pro (Review), which delivers much better performance, a better display, and equally good cameras. The Vivo V50e is not a bad phone, but it's not a significant upgrade either. However, if you are looking at the phone as a first buy, then you might want to give it a shot.

EN→DEBuy the Vivo V50e if you value a slim, elegant phone with a premium in-hand feel, or if you consume lots of content and appreciate AMOLED visuals, or if your usage is light to moderate, not gaming-heavy. Look elsewhere if you need powerful gaming performance, want good audio to go with your visuals, or need versatile camera hardware.

EN→DEI found the overall performance of the Vivo V50e quite balanced in my review. This phone will be perfect for those who want a phone with a luxurious design, big battery and especially camera performance can go with this phone. Yes. This phone is not performance-centric and is not made for gamers. So, if you are looking for a gaming phone, other options are available in the market. There is also a concern about only UFS 2.0 storage, but it is ok for daily tasks. In the end, there are options available in the market at similar prices, like the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, Honor 200, Realme 14 Pro+, OnePlus Nord 4, Vivo T3 Ultra, etc. These phones are also camera-centric. So, you can compare all these phone specs with the Vivo V50e to make a better decision about purchase. Thanks for reading my Vivo V50e review. Comment your thoughts on this phone below.

EN→DEMost mid-range phones try to focus on one primary aspect and fail to deliver a holistic experience. The Vivo V50e, however, is a well-balanced smartphone that caters to a wide range of users, although it doesn’t have any unique selling points. For anyone considering a new phone under Rs 30,000, the Vivo V50e is clearly a solid choice. That said, there are also strong alternatives like the OnePlus Nord 4 (review), iQOO Neo 10R (review), Poco X7 Pro, and the Nothing Phone 3a Pro (review), which shine in areas like performance and camera.

EN→DEEarlier this year, we witnessed the launch of the Vivo V50, which grabbed much attention for its new camera features and sleek design. Now, the company has introduced another smartphone under the series, the Vivo V50e priced at Rs.28999 with compelling features and offerings. But, is it worth the hype? I have been using this mid-ranger for a couple of weeks to test performance, its hyped camera capabilities, and other crucial features to know if it's worth upgrading. Since the Vivo V50e is a camera-centred smartphone, I did not have many expectations for performance. However, the smartphone has excelled in several areas, including providing a vibrant display, lasting battery life, and much more. Therefore, check out this Vivo V50e review in 10 points and know if you should buy or skip.

EN→DEThe Vivo V50e proves that you don’t need to break the bank for a phone that excels where it matters. With its stunning AMOLED display, all-day battery life, and capable cameras, it ticks all the right boxes for the average user. The sleek design and IP69 rating add a touch of premium durability, while the fast 90W charging ensures you’re never tethered to an outlet for long. Performance is smooth for daily tasks and decent for gaming, though don’t expect flagship-level power. Sure, the software has some bloat, and the ultra-wide camera could be better, but these are minor compromises in an otherwise stellar package. For under Rs 30,000, the Vivo V50e delivers good value — especially if battery life and display quality are priorities. It’s not perfect, but it’s one of the most well-balanced mid-rangers out there.

EN→DEThe Vivo V50e aims to bring the stylish design and wedding-style portrait photography, exclusive to the V-series lineup, to a more affordable price point. It achieves this by delivering a well-rounded experience. The sleek and premium design, vibrant and sharp AMOLED display, reliable performance, excellent battery life with fast charging, and cameras that produce natural-looking shots all contribute to making it a compelling choice in its segment. That said, the smartphone leaves room for improvement in terms of performance, as some users may prefer more power. The display could also benefit from higher brightness for better outdoor visibility, and the cameras would be more appealing with added vibrancy and sharpness. Still, the Vivo V50e remains a solid choice for daily users who seek a good phone with great after-sales service. The handset has been priced in India starting at Rs 28,999.

EN→DEThe Vivo V50e 5G stands out with its stylish design, vibrant display, impressive camera, and long battery life. While it handles daily tasks well, the dated chipset holds it back in gaming. A solid choice for casual users, but not ideal for power users or gamers. The mid-range smartphone market in India is more competitive than ever, with brands constantly trying to outdo each other by offering premium features at accessible prices. From vibrant displays to powerful cameras and fast charging, users now expect a lot without having to spend a fortune. Well, Vivo has just launched a new contender in this space—the Vivo V50e 5G– which is priced at Rs 28,999. With its eye-catching design, the phone looks well-equipped to take on the competition. But does it live up to expectations in real-world use? I spent a good amount of time with the device to find out how it performs across key areas like design, display, performance, camera, and battery. Here’s my full review of the Vivo V50e 5G.
