Insgesamt ist das Edge 60 Neo ein gelungenes Smartphone: Das Display ist mit knapp 2.000 Lux und LTPO-Technik in dieser Preisklasse erstklassig. Auch die IP69-Zertifizierung steht dem Gerät gut. Obwohl sich unter der Haube wenig getan hat, ist die Leistung im Alltag absolut zufriedenstellend. Zudem sind die optische Zoomkamera und das kabellose Laden in der kompakten Mittelklasse echte Alleinstellungsmerkmale. Und kompakte Mittelklasse-Smartphones gibt es ohnehin kaum noch. Dennoch müssen wir feststellen: Das Motorola Edge 60 Neo ist mehr Evolution als Revolution. Motorola baut auf die Stärken des Vorgängers, setzt aber kaum neue Akzente. Das Display bleibt gut, ebenso wie das handliche Design und das kabellose Laden.

Das Motorola Edge 60 Neo präsentiert sich als ausgewogenes Mittelklasse-Smartphone mit klaren Stärken und kaum nennenswerten Schwächen. Das helle OLED-Display mit adaptiven 120 Hertz, die lange Update-Zusage, die robuste Bauweise mit IP69 und MIL-STD-810H sowie die gute Hauptkamera inklusive optischem Teleobjektiv machen das Gerät besonders attraktiv. Der Akku überzeugt mit langen Laufzeiten im Alltag, während schnelles Laden per Kabel und zusätzliches kabelloses Laden den Nutzungskomfort erhöhen. Abstriche gibt es bei der eher schwachen Weitwinkelkamera und beim fehlenden Netzteil im Lieferumfang. Auch die Leistung des Dimensity 7400 ist zwar problemlos alltagstauglich, für ambitionierte Gamer jedoch zu begrenzt. Insgesamt bietet das Edge 60 Neo dennoch ein sehr stimmiges Gesamtpaket für die meisten Nutzer.

The Motorola Edge 60 Neo, announced in September 2025, is shaping up to be an exciting mid-range phone that brings premium touches at a fair price. It is slim at just 8.1 mm and light at 174.5 g, making it easy to carry and use with one hand. The build combines a Gorilla Glass 7i front, a sturdy plastic frame, and an eco-leather back, giving it both durability and style. On top of that, it comes with IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance and MIL-STD-810H compliance, meaning it can handle splashes and rough use better than most phones in its category. The display is one of the strongest selling points here. Motorola has used a 6.36-inch LTPO P-OLED panel with 1200 x 2670 pixels resolution, HDR10+ support, and a 120 Hz refresh rate. It also reaches an impressive 3000 nits peak brightness, making it one of the brightest screens you can find at this price.

I’m not expecting miracles from the Moto G06 series – battery life could prove to be record-setting but the rest of the specs indicate very low-power, affordable phones that will only appeal to a small sect of people. The Motorola Edge 60 Neo, on the other hand, has potential. It appears to carry a lot over from its predecessor, which could hurt its overall appeal, but a lot of those borrowed features are winners: the lightweight build, OLED display and telephoto camera are all great inclusions, and the latter especially is still relatively rare for mid-range phones. We don’t have prices or a firm release date just yet but, based on everything else announced by Lenovo at this showcase, I’d be surprised if these weren’t on shelves by the end of October. I’ll be getting my hands on review samples soon enough, so check back in soon to see my final verdict on Motorola’s latest batch of smartphones.
