Realme, die junge Untermarke von Oppo innerhalb des BBK-Electronics-Imperiums, macht sich mittlerweile einen Namen. Das X3 Superzoom ist das neueste Gerät des Herstellers, es will direkt mit Multi-Kamera-Rivalen der Mittelklasse konkurrieren. Das Realme X3 Superzoom scheint auf dem Papier die nötige Kamera-Ausstattung zu haben: einen 64-MP-Hauptsensor (der gleiche Samsung GW1 wie beim Realme X2 Pro), eine Ultra-Weitwinkelkamera, eine Makro-Kamera und 5x optischer Zoom. Manchmal nehmen die Kameras beeindruckende Bilder auf, die von einer teureren Kameras stammen könnten, allerdings nicht immer, manche Fotos sind ein trübes und körniges Durcheinander. Inkonsistenz ist vielleicht die größte Schwachstelle der Superzoom-Kameras. Sogar der Weißabgleich wird nur kurze Zeit bei allen Linsen perfekt sein, bis er wieder anfängt zu schwanken. 

Mit der Makro-Linse entstehen manchmal tolle Aufnahmen, manchmal sind sie jedoch zu körnig, um sie zu behalten. Die Ultra-Weitwinkellinse ist wohl die schlechteste Kamera des X3 Superzoom, nennenswerte Probleme sind Magenta-Vignettierung, übermäßiges Rauschen und ungewöhnliche Bereiche, die wie Nebel wirken. Bei Tageslicht ist die Ultra-Weitwinkelkamera noch ganz brauchbar, bei schlechteren Lichtverhältnissen ist sie nicht sonderlich beeindruckend. Der 64-MP-Hauptsensor komprimiert Aufnahmen bis zu 16 MP und kann sich als Hauptkamera sehen lassen. Aufnahmen bei Tageslicht sind gewöhnlich ausgeglichen, ohne übertriebene Sättigung oder HDR-Effekte. Die Kameras des Realme X3 Superzoom haben außerdem eine ganze Menge an Nacht-Modi, unter anderem einen gewöhnlichen Nachtmodus und einen Modus mit 50-Sekunden-Belichtungszeit, um Lichtspuren und ähnliches zu fotografieren.

Das X3 Superzoom wurde mit einem 6,6-Zoll-Bildschirm mit Full-HD+-Auflösung und einem IPS-Panel ausgestattet. Das LCD-Panel ist erstaunlich gut, obwohl es nicht die tintigen Schwarztöne eines OLED-Panels produziert. Zudem ist die Bildrate von 120 Hz recht hoch, was zweifellos toll ist, außer dass noch nicht alle Apps, Spiele und Streaming-Dienste so hohe Bildraten unterstützen. Der Akku des Smartphones hat eine Kapazität von 4.200 mAh und funktioniert mit 30W-Schnellladen. Für ausreichende Leistung wurde ein Snapdragon 855 Plus Prozessor eingebaut, der entweder mit 8 GB oder 12 GB Arbeitsspeicher gekoppelt ist. Beim Speicherplatz stehen 128 GB oder 256 GB zur Auswahl. Der Snapdragon 855 Plus ist vielleicht nicht das beste Silizium dieses Jahres, doch er war es im vorherigen Jahr. Solange man kein 5G oder 8K-Video braucht, dürfte die Leistung des 855 Plus ausreichen. Alles in allem ist das Realme X3 Superzoom ein großartiges Smartphone, obwohl die Wahl natürlich von den Vorlieben des Käufers abhängt.

SD 855+: High-End SoC (System on a Chip) für Smartphones welcher Ende 2018 vorgestellt wurde. Integriert unter anderen einen schnellen "Prime Core" mit bis zu 2,96 GHz und drei weitere schnelle Cortex-A76 basierende Performance-Kerne. Zum Stromsparen wurden außerdem 4 weitere ARM Cortex-A55 Kerne verbaut. Das integrierte X24 LTE Modem unterstützt 2 Gigabit Cat. 20 und weiters kann der Chip mit dem externen X50 5G Modem kombiniert werden.
