Honestly, there's very little to complain about the ROG Strix G15 Advantage Edition. Everything about the laptop is amazing but if there's one nitpick that I have to choose, it would be that the webcam is missing which is quite essential for the current circumstances. It's also a pity that ASUS Malaysia has no plans (yet) to import the advantage editions to Malaysia so we have no idea of how much the price tag is, making it difficult to do any point of comparison. But one thing is for sure - be prepared to spend a hefty amount of money if you want this bad boy.

In the case of the Asus ROG Strix G15, the chosen slashes are on the screen and webcam. For the latter, you'd probably be better off buying a standalone over any Asus would have offered at this laptop's price, anyway. The screen's pretty meh, though.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. ist ein großer taiwanesischer Hersteller von Computer-Hardware mit Sitz in Taipeh, gegründet 1989. Unter dem Markennamen Asus fertigt das Unternehmen eine breite Palette von Produkten, darunter Laptops, Desktops, Motherboards, Grafikkarten, Monitore, Smartphones und Netzwerkgeräte, Komplettsysteme und PC-Bauteile für Endkunden.
Unter dem Markennamen ROG (Republic of Gamers) stellt ASUS Gaming-Laptops her, die bei Spielern für ihre leistungsstarken Spezifikationen, dedizierten Grafikkarten, Displays mit hoher Bildwiederholrate und fortschrittlichen Kühlsystemen bekannt sind.

Die Kundenzufriedenheit mit ASUS-Notebooks betrifft Leistung, die Funktionen und das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der ASUS-Notebooks. Wie bei jeder Marke gibt es jedoch gelegentlich Berichte über Probleme wie Überhitzung, Treiberkompatibilität oder Probleme mit der Verarbeitungsqualität.

Diese Grafikkarten sollten alle modernen Spiele flüssig darstellen können. Anspruchsvolle Spiele müssen jedoch in mittlerer Detailstufe gespielt werden. Ältere und weniger anspruchsvolle Spiele wie die Sims Serie können auch in hohen Detailsstufen flüssig dargestellt werden.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Laptop GPU: High-End Notebook-Grafikkarte und dritt-schnellste Ampere Version für Notebooks zum Launch. Kann mit TDP Werten von 80 - 115 Watt betrieben werden und bietet 8 GB GDDR6 Grafikspeicher mit einer 192 Bit Anbindung.
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Mobile: Mid-Range Notebook-Grafikkarte basierend auf der Desktop GTX 1650 mit Turing Architektur. Bietet keine Raytracing und Tensor-Kerne im Gegensatz zu den stärkeren RTX 2000 Modellen. Die Leistung soll etwas oberhalb der alten GTX 1050 Ti liegen. Es gibt eine Variante mit 1024 und eine mit 896 Shader.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti Laptop GPU: Mobile Gaming-Grafikkarte die wahrscheinlich auf den GA107 Chip basiert. Bietet 2560 Kerne und Taktraten von bis zu 1695 MHz bei 80 Watt. Es sind jedoch viele Varianten erhältlich, bis 35 Watt und nur 1035 MHz Boost.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 4GB Laptop GPU: Mobile Gaming-Grafikkarte die wahrscheinlich auf den GA107 Chip basiert. Bietet 2048 GPU Kerne und ist in verschiedenen TGP Varianten von 35 - 80 Watt erhältlich. Je nach Variante kann die Leistung deutlich variieren, da auch die Taktraten unterschiedlich ausfallen. Ältere Version mit 4 GB VRAM.

AMD Cezanne (Zen 3, Ryzen 5000):
R9 5900HX: Mobile APU mit acht Zen 3 basierten Kernen welche mit 3,3 bis 4,6 GHz takten. Das X im Namen bezeichnet die Übertaktungsmöglichkeiten der CPU. Integriert eine Vega Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs und 2000 MHz Takt.
R7 5800HS: Mobile APU mit acht Zen 3 basierten Kernen welche mit 3,2 bis 4,4 GHz takten. Integriert eine Vega Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs und bis zu 2 GHz Taktfrequenz. Die HS-Version ist im Vergleich zum normalen 5800H (35-52 W) auf 35 Watt TDP limitiert.
R7 5800H: Mobile APU mit acht Zen 3 basierten Kernen welche mit 3,2 bis 4,4 GHz takten. Integriert eine Vega Grafikkarte mit 8 CUs und bis zu 2GHz Taktfrequenz.
AMD Renoir (Ryzen 4000 APU):
R7 4800H: Mobile APU mit acht Zen 2 basierten Kernen welche mit 2,9 bis 4,2 GHz takten. Integriert eine Vega Grafikkarte mit 7 CUs bei maximal 1600 MHz Grafiktakt.
AMD Rembrandt (Zen 3+):
R7 6800H: Mobile APU mit acht Zen 3+ basierten Kernen welche mit 3,2 bis 4,7 GHz takten. Integriert eine RDNA2 Grafikkarte mit 12 CUs und max 2,2 GHz.
