So, the big question: is the ASUS ROG Strix G16 worth it? Our review unit (G615LR-S5190WS), as configured, comes in at ₹2,59,990. Yes, that's a hefty price tag, but ASUS makes a strong case for it. The Strix G16 strikes an excellent balance between raw power and practical design. You get a well-engineered cooling system, upgrade-friendly internals, a stunning 2.5K 240Hz display, and Intel's flagship Arrow Lake HX CPU that gives both gamers and creators a serious edge. Looking at the competition, the MSI Vector 16 HX is available for around ₹2,30,990, making it the cheaper option. But it also comes with a slower Core Ultra 7 255HX, which won't quite match the sustained performance of the Strix's Core Ultra 9 275HX.

However, hardcore gamers may be put off by the RTX 5070's low 8GB VRAM. As I mentioned before, most newer games nowadays need more VRAM at high resolutions, especially with high ray tracing settings and others. Lowering the graphics settings will make more modern graphics-hungry games playable, but where's the fun in that? There are other variants of the ROG Strix G16 on the ROG Malaysia website, with prices from RM6599 (Intel-based). The G614F model starts from RM8799 and goes up to RM12299 for the highest configuration. But in these tough economic times in Malaysia, it's understandable that most consumers look for other "affordable" options, which can be difficult to find.

So, despite all its minor flaws, I think Asus has absolutely nailed it with ROG Strix G16 (2025). The flashy redesign paired with fiercely powerful new chips means there are just so many things to love about this guy. And if you’re looking for a powerful gaming/content creation laptop that will age gracefully over the years, the Strix G16 definitely looks like one of your top choices at around NPR 4 lakhs. Yes, I completely agree that Asus could’ve done a better job in terms of the price. Considering there are other RTX 5070 Ti laptops in Nepal at a lower price, like the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 AI (2025). But the Strix G16 does have its own charm with a superior design, Thunderbolt 5 connectivity, nicer RGB, and slightly better thermals, to name a few.
