More remarkable is the fact that performance hasn’t been sacrificed. What has been, though, is cooling, since despite the loud fans, the body still gets incredibly hot in places. More elite rivals handle their power better without asking for much more money, while some cheaper alternatives aren’t that far behind in terms of performance. But if portability is a priority and you can stand the heat, the Zephyrus G14 (2025) is a fine choice.

If you want a slim gaming laptop that has a lot of tricks up its sleeve and can work well for productivity when needed, the ROG Zephyrus G14's 2025 revision remains a superb (yet pricey) option. It's slim and gorgeous, but when you plug it in, it has the power to really push through even modern releases. I don't think there's a better gaming laptop right now – and I've tested a bunch of 2025 models.
