The laptop is definitely a beast in terms of specifications and features but when we talk about its most highlighted feature - the ScreenPad, a lot still needs to be done. One could say that it has limited use for now and given that its literally a smartphone embedded in a laptop, the room for improvement is immense. But nonetheless, what is there right now is good enough to be called as the most productive tool we’ve seen on any laptop till date. We are yet to see what kind of reactions the device will get in the market. However, it sure is something innovative and what can be called as something out of the box.

However, the company seems to have let its clever ideas run wild, and too many features and modes have been combined into one device. ScreenPad mode needs a lot of work, and all apps need to work like the Office toolbars and YouTube extension. Extension Display mode has very limited usefulness and the implementation is a total trainwreck, breaking the most basic habits that people have when using touchscreens.

Asus Zenbook Pro 15 UX580GE-E2005T
Nehmen wir mal an, Sie brauchen untertags Leistung für ihre Alltagsaufgaben im Büro und sind nachts Gamer. Sie benötigen etwas Leichtes zum Mitnehmen, das leistungsstark sein muss. Noch unlängst war diese Kombination nicht möglich. Sie hatten die Wahl zwischen schweren, dicken Geräten mit mehr als 2 kg oder zwei verschiedenen Geräten. Doch mit der achten Generation Intel-Prozessoren wird dies möglich. Dells XPS 15, MSIs GS63 Stealth Thin Laptops sind bereits am Markt. Beide bieten High-End-Komponenten bei einem Gewicht von knapp 2 kg – ohne der notwendigen Adapter natürlich. Die größte Innovation dieses Laptop ist sein Touchpad. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob man es ein normales Touchpad nennen kann, denn es verhält sich wie ein zusätzlicher keiner Monitor. Wie Sie es verwenden hängt gänzlich von ihren Vorlieben ab, doch die Möglichkeiten sind unbegrenzt. Asus versucht mit seiner Zenbook-Pro-15-Serie dem aktuellen Trend zu folgen. Der Laptop ist mit einer GTX 1050 Ti, einem i7 8750H Prozessor, 16 GB RAM und einer 1 TB SSD ausgestattet. Kann man Games spielen? Sicherlich. Werden sie Freude daran haben? Kommt darauf an. Als Asus-User (ich tippe diesen Text mit meinem Asus Zenbook S UX391UA), kann ich sagen, dass die Qualität des Gehäuses und die Verarbeitung erstklassig sind. In puncto Design kann das Gerät definitiv mit allem aktuellen Geräten mithalten. Ist Gaming das, was Sie wollen, sollten Sie sich dann wirklich für ein derart schlankes Gerät mit 19 mm Bauhöhe entscheiden? Warum ist eine schlanke Bauweise ein Flaschenhals? Ein Beispiel: Nehmen wir an, Sie trainieren in einem kleinen Raum. Während des Trainings, erhitzen Sie sich und damit auch die Luft, die Sie umgibt. Je mehr sie trainieren, desto wärmer wird auch die Luft im Raum. Mit der Zeit werden Sie schwitzen. Nun gibt es zwei Faktoren: Wenn der kleine Raum gut gekühlt wird, wird es kein Problem geben. Doch der Raum ist so klein, dass er keinen Platz für eine leistungsstarke Kühlung bietet. Genau das ist bei schlanken Laptops der Fall. Sie werden schnell warm. Die Lüfter drehen wie verrückt, die Basiseinheit erhitzt sich und im Endeffekt erreichen Sie einen Punkt, wo Sie von der Hardware nicht mehr fordern können. Daher sind die meisten schlanken Geräte mit einer GTX 1050 Ti und nicht mit einer stärkeren Grafikkarte ausgestattet. Ich nehme an, dass sich diese Art Laptop an Menschen richtet, die meistens mit Grafikdesigns arbeiten. Denn beim Gaming erreicht man die Grenzen des Designs zu schnell. Laufen Games auf diesem Gerät: Ja, Sie können spielen. CS GO, Lol, Dota 2, Fifa sind spielbar. GTA 5 läuft mit mittleren Einstellungen problemlos. Fortnite, Pubg oder ähnliches? Sicherlich. Wenn Sie mit ständigem Lüftergeräusch leben können, warum nicht? Doch handelt es sich um die ideale Lösung? Ich weiß es nicht. Der Laptop ist elegant und leicht und mit der notwendigen aktuellen Technologie ausgestattet. Ich denke, er ist ein guter Begleiter im Büro und für leichtes Gaming. Sind Sie nur ein Gelegenheitsspieler und suchen nach etwas Leichtem, sollten Sie ihn nicht übergehen. Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. ist ein großer taiwanesischer Hersteller von Computer-Hardware mit Sitz in Taipeh, gegründet 1989. Unter dem Markennamen Asus fertigt das Unternehmen eine breite Palette von Produkten, darunter Laptops, Desktops, Motherboards, Grafikkarten, Monitore, Smartphones und Netzwerkgeräte, Komplettsysteme und PC-Bauteile für Endkunden.
Unter dem Markennamen ROG (Republic of Gamers) stellt ASUS Gaming-Laptops her, die bei Spielern für ihre leistungsstarken Spezifikationen, dedizierten Grafikkarten, Displays mit hoher Bildwiederholrate und fortschrittlichen Kühlsystemen bekannt sind.
Über das Gaming hinaus werden eine breite Palette von Notebooks für unterschiedliche Anforderungen und Budgets geboten: von ultraschlanken und leichten Ultrabooks bis hin zu vielseitigen 2-in-1-Convertibles und budgetfreundlichen Optionen. 2023 hatte Asus einen Weltmarktanteil von 7% am PC-Markts.
Die Kundenzufriedenheit mit ASUS-Notebooks betrifft Leistung, die Funktionen und das gute Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis der ASUS-Notebooks. Wie bei jeder Marke gibt es jedoch gelegentlich Berichte über Probleme wie Überhitzung, Treiberkompatibilität oder Probleme mit der Verarbeitungsqualität.
Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.

i9-8950HK: Auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basierender SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für große Notebooks. Integriert unter anderem sechs CPU-Kerne mit 2,9 - 4,8 GHz (4,3 GHz bei 6 Kernen) und HyperThreading sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt. Dank freiem Multiplikator ist ein Übertakten der CPU möglich.
i7-8750H: Auf der Coffee-Lake-Architektur basierender SoC (System-on-a-Chip) für große Notebooks. Integriert unter anderem sechs CPU-Kerne mit 2,2 - 4,1 GHz (4 GHz bei 4 Kernen, 3,9 GHz bei allen 6 Kernen) und HyperThreading sowie eine Grafikeinheit und wird in 14-Nanometer-Technik gefertigt.
