I also like that Honor is trying to bring practical AI features, like AI Memories, rather than just adding AI for marketing. But the performance and cameras hold this phone back. The Dimensity 7100 Elite does not feel powerful enough for the price, and the camera system is quite outdated in 2026. So, the Honor 600 Lite is a good phone if you want a stylish, comfortable, display-focused mid-range phone. But if you care more about gaming, performance, or cameras, there are better alternatives in this price segment.

Das Honor 600 Pro ist eine klassische „Pro“-Erweiterung des normalen 600er, bei der man beim Blick auf die UVP von 999€ erstmal ratlos zurückbleibt. Vielleicht kann ich euch mit diesem Fazit helfen. Für diesen Preis bekommt ihr mit dem 600 Pro zwar einige Upgrades, wie den Snapdragon 8 Elite statt des unterdimensionierten 7 Gen 4, eine vollwertige Telekamera, Wireless Charging mit 50W, WiFi 7 und Bluetooth 6.0. Gleichzeitig steckt im Pro jedoch auch das gleiche Kunststoffkomposit, der gleiche Ultraweitwinkel-Sensor und der gleiche, in Europa beschnittene 6.400mAh-Akku wie im normalen 600er. Zur UVP konkurriert das Pro mit dem hauseigenen Honor Magic 8 Pro, das aktuell teilweise sogar günstiger zu haben ist. Damit ist das Pro zur UVP schlicht keine Empfehlung. Spannend wird das Gerät erst, wenn der Straßenpreis erwartungsgemäß in Richtung 500€ rutscht. Genau dort verorten wir das Honor 600 Pro nach den Erfahrungen mit dem Honor 400 Pro in den kommenden Monaten ziemlich sicher. Auf diesem Preisniveau dreht sich das Bild komplett: Das 6,57 Zoll große OLED-Display mit 120Hz und 10 Bit gehört zum Besten, was ihr in dieser Klasse bekommt.

It’s already close to flagship-level pricing, but you do get near-flagship-level performance with this phone. Whether it’s worth it or not, we leave that to you.

The Honor 600 Pro is an interesting take on what a Pro midranger phone should be. Instead of chasing the latest flagship formula, Honor built a device that mixes top-tier silicon with a more restrained overall package - and that approach works pretty well. Performance is undoubtedly one of the phone's strongest suits. The Snapdragon 8 Elite has plenty of power to handle every task you throw at it today and the 600 Pro feels consistently fast and responsive, with no real slowdowns. Sustained GPU load does bring a hit to performance, but that's a rather unlikely scenario. The rest of the hardware package is equally compelling.

However, the key factor is the right price tag, and while we don’t know what the UK or EU pricing is, the Malaysian pricing does give us some indication. The Honor 600 Pro starts at RM3,099 (approximately $785 or £580), with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, while the 512GB version costs $50 more. However, it’s worth noting that the UK and EU pricing is likely to be much higher once import fees, taxes, and customs rates are taken into account. At the right price, this is an excellent purchase, and I’d also expect Honor to have many pre-order deals that either reduce the price or include free accessories.

Das Honor 600 ist ein klassisches Honor-Mittelklasse-Gerät, bei dem ihr beim Blick auf die UVP von 650€ erstmal kräftig schlucken müsst. Für diesen Preis bekommt ihr einen schlicht unterdimensionierten Snapdragon 7 Gen 4, eine Kunststoffrückseite (auch wenn Honor da gerne von Fiberglas spricht), nur UFS 3.1 statt 4.0, keine Telelinse und eine 12-Megapixel-Ultraweitwinkelkamera, die spätestens bei Dämmerung kapituliert. Bei Poco oder Xiaomi bekommt ihr für das gleiche Geld deutlich mehr Leistung und ein vollständigeres Kamerasystem. Zur UVP ist das Honor 600 schlicht keine Empfehlung, aber das war bei Honor noch nie der entscheidende Maßstab. Spannend wird das Gerät erst, wenn der Straßenpreis erwartungsgemäß in Richtung 300€ rutscht. Genau dort verorten wir das Honor 600 nach den Erfahrungen mit dem Honor 400 in den kommenden Monaten ziemlich sicher. Auf diesem Preisniveau dreht sich das Bild komplett: Das 6,57 Zoll große OLED-Display mit 120Hz, 10 Bit und einer Spitzenhelligkeit von 2310 Lux gehört zum Besten, was ihr in dieser Klasse bekommt. Der 6.400mAh Akku liefert mit über 23 Stunden im PCMark-Test bei 60Hz richtig starke Werte. Die IP68/IP69K-Zertifizierung, sechs Jahre Updates, ein zuverlässiger Fingerabdrucksensor, ein Infrarotsender, Wi-Fi 6 und Bluetooth 5.4 mit nahezu allen relevanten Codecs runden das Paket auf einem Niveau ab, das ihr bei 300€ nicht selbstverständlich findet.

Das Design wirkt schick und hochwertig verarbeitet – wenn auch stark von Apple inspiriert. Gegenüber dem 600 Pro winkt aktuell ein satter Preisvorteil von rund 200 Euro beim Straßenpreis. Die Chip-Performance liegt allerdings spürbar unter dem Pro-Modell. Wer gerne zockt, dürfte das spüren – für den Alltag reicht die Leistung aber locker aus. Auch die Ultraweitwinkellinse fällt gegenüber dem Hauptobjektiv merklich ab, und die fehlende Telelinse vermissen wir. Kabelloses Laden gibt es ebenfalls nicht. Das Honor 600 hätte ein interessantes Smartphone werden können. Hätte der gemunkelte Einstiegspreis von rund 399€ gestimmt, wäre es tatsächlich ein Gerät mit echtem Alleinstellungsfaktor gewesen: Derart schlanke Displayränder sowie extrem hohe Helligkeitswerte von bis zu 8000 Nits im HDR Betrieb wären in diesem Preisbereich unüblich und hätten dem Gerät trotz eines nicht ganz konkurrenzfähigen Prozessors eine klare Daseinsberechtigung verschafft. Selbst 499€ wären dafür noch vertretbar gewesen. Stattdessen ruft Honor 649,90€ auf, und da wird es schwierig. Denn so schön die Displayränder auch sind und so hell das Panel auch leuchtet: Wer für ein Smartphone über 600€ auf den Tisch legt, erwartet mehr als ein paar "Nice-to-have"-Merkmale, die im Alltag keinen grundlegenden Unterschied machen.

One thing that I love (again) about this phone is the face unlock. It is unlike anything I have previously used. HONOR says in its documentation that it uses 2D face unlock, which I can only assume is a lower version of the 3D Face Recognition that's included in the Magic8 Pro. I found it to be just as responsive. When I pick the phone up, it immediately unlocks, so I only have to swipe from the lock screen. I literally cannot fault it. It seems like it does not require you to point your face to the screen at all for it to recognize you and unlock; it is just super fast. The same can be said of the fingerprint sensor; it is quick. Time will tell if MagicOS 10 slows to a crawl. I think OS slowdowns affect all handsets; the more apps you install and have running in the background, the more it slows stuff down, but MagicOS 10 appears to have a (annoying warning when an application seems to be using a lot of battery (you can disable the global alerts). The tools are there to fix lag and slowdowns.

Despite an affordable price tag, the Honor 600 has a lot of strings to its bow. Its camera picks up a bevvy of detail, its battery will last you the weekend, and its bright display makes watching content or scrolling easy under almost any conditions. While there are still a few kinks that need working out, such as its AI features, and heavy gamers might want a little bit more processing power, there is little to fault this phone for. Those wanting something that’s essentially an iPhone with Android underneath should look no further.

I have been happy enough with the Honor 600 as my everyday phone. It runs my apps, the battery lasts two days, the design is comfortable to hold, I’m not worried about durability, and the camera is acceptable.I should be saying, sure, it’s a good phone to buy. However, the Honor 600 has made life difficult for itself due to the various software gremlins I’ve already encountered (which makes me think more will arrive the longer I use it) and the irritating way it handles the not-always-on screen. It’s frustrating, as if the software were a little more polished, particularly around calls, and the always-on screen was actually always-on, there wouldn't be any major downsides here. Instead, you’ve got to be prepared for these things, and the chance of other bugs showing up, if you buy the Honor 600. If you’re fine with that, the Honor 600 is a solid mid-range Android phone that has taken one too many side glances at the Apple iPhone’s design.

The Honor 600 is a £549 smartphone. Having used it for two weeks, I feel that the price should be higher; its camera system is as good as most premium models. Its screen is nice and bright. And the battery goes on and on. All powered by a decent Snapdragon processor. It is, arguably, the best budget phone around.

The Honor 600 is a fantastic mid-ranger that feels like a watershed moment in raising the stock of this kind of phone with a stylish finish, excellent battery life and a capable, detailed dual camera setup. We also get a solid OLED screen and reasonable internal power, although for the raised price against the old model, some more grunt may have been nice. The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G provides similar performance, a larger screen and arguably offers a more polished software feel for a similar price for the base 256GB model (the 600 costs a little more), although with the 512GB model, Honor’s price tag is much more appealing.

Honor: 2014 gründete Huawei die Tochtermarke Honor unter der bestimmte Smartphone-Linien vertrieben werden. Gelegentlich werden die Produkte auch unter der Bezeichnung Huawei Honor geführt.

Der Marktanteil von Honor-Produkten ist überschaubar, aber es gibt einige Testberichte für Honor Smartphones mit durchschnittliche Bewertungen (2016).

3D Spiele sind auf diesen Vertretern nur in Ausnahmen spielbar, grundsätzlich sind die Grafiklösungen hierfür jedoch nicht geeignet. Office Programme und Internet surfen dürfte jedoch ohne Problem möglich sein.

Diese Klasse ist noch durchaus fähig neueste Spiele flüssig darzustellen, nur nicht mehr mit allen Details und in hohen Auflösungen. Besonders anspruchsvolle Spiele laufen nur in minimalen Detailstufen, wodurch die grafische Qualität oft deutlich leidet. Diese Klasse ist nur noch für Gelegenheitsspieler empfehlenswert. Der Stromverbrauch von modernen Grafikkarten in dieser Klasse ist dafür geringer und erlaubt auch bessere Akkulaufzeiten.
