EN→DEThe Lenovo Legion 9i 18IAX10 delivers top-tier performance in a true desktop-replacement form factor, especially in sustained workloads where it holds its performance well over time. Our RTX 5080 configuration does not aim to beat the absolute fastest RTX 5090 systems, but it remains firmly in the high-end tier, with excellent stability under load. The design is premium and distinctive, with strong build quality and a full set of ports, while the display is sharp and fast, even if it does not fully match the visual impact of newer OLED or Mini-LED panels.

EN→DELenovo’s Legion 9i Gen 10 is the most powerful gaming laptop in the company's arsenal, housing some fiery silicon, a bright 18-inch 4K display, and long battery life for its class. It also looks more appealing than most 18-inch gaming laptops on the market. Now, while the Legion 9i is a good big-screen gaming laptop, it isn’t a great one. You can't configure it with a mechanical keyboard or a mini-LED display, two features I’d want when spending this many kilobucks on a gaming laptop. While you can mask the whooshing fans with headphones, there’s no fixing the touchpad. Yes, you always want a mouse for gameplay, but you shouldn’t need one for simple Windows navigation. The Legion 9i is a well-built gaming laptop, but if you're in the tax bracket to shop for a deluxe RTX 5080 or RTX 5090 gaming laptop like this, you should add the MSI Raider 18 HX AI and the Razer Blade 18 to your shortlist of gaming laptops to scout at this size.

EN→DEJust like its smaller sibling, the Lenovo Legion 9i doesn't care if anyone is watching. It's not quite the heaviest gaming laptop, but it's not far off, and the 18-inch display cuts an imposing figure on anyone's desk. It's not that portable, but it is a true desktop replacement in every sense of the phrase, and doesn't fall into the trap of bad thermal performance when chasing thin-but-powerful gaming options. If you don't want a desktop PC and a lightweight laptop, this is the dual-use device for you. You won't want to be far away from a power socket, but you'll be able to do anything you would normally do on a powerful desktop PC while still retaining some degree of freedom.

EN→DEThe Lenovo Legion 9i is a design statement that looks great and proves enjoyable to use day-to-day. It also delivers strong game performance and an incredible array of leading-edge ports. These benefits are countered by a mediocre display with a 1200p/440Hz (or, alternatively, glasses-free 3D) mode that’s of questionable use. CPU performance also fell short of expectations. Still, the Legion 9i is a reasonable choice if you care mostly about GPU performance and will often connect the laptop to an external display.
